That's quite interesting actually, that means Oda saying that Sabo is dead could be to fuck with our heads so it's a huge surprise. However, a child being in the midst of an explosion, and then just, nothing? It seems a tad unlikely, especially with how realistic one piece is (I know, sounds a bit dumb, but for what it is, it's pretty real) that someone, especially a child, could survive an explosion without devil fruit powers.
