Came across your channel since i wanted to see what being a pipeliner is like and you sir look like you're living the life! Can't wait till im outta high school and do the same thing. Its been a dream of mine for a while. Keep up the good work!
Very cool video. Enjoyed it. By the way, because of y'all's video of the grand ole opry, we took a trip to Nashville in our camper and had a great time. We loved the Opry! Thanks!
I don't pipeline (I coal mine) but I love your guys videos and if my job ever goes down again I've been thinking about trying pipeline I've done did a oil field type job and I worked on the rail road but I love watching you guys very fun and please more at work I was very interested in everything that was going on even though it was a shorter video keep up the good work guys
I sit here on break at a aluminum factory at 3:30am...I am a tool and sir welder and hate factories. But, it pays the bills at the moment. One day I'll finally catch the dream.
Awesom video bro! So far I got 5 years of ironworking/welding under my belt. You know those sky walkers and now I'm in a shop welding/fabricator but I'm trying to get a good in pipe line welding. Maybe you could do a video on that. Keep these awesome videos up bro
Apprentice pipefitter/welder here. I see you have some kind of leather arm band which I assume is so you can rest your arm against hot material. How well does it work and is it home made? I have thought of making something similar but I want to I include that braided material people use to shield their motorcycle exhaust pipes. I know there's already the TIG Finger product using that stuff and it does a good job.
Wow man Thank you for the Videos it inspires me to quit my Job as a Lube Tech and Go to school for welding 👍👍. Do you always get to work outdoors ? Because man that's the way to go 👍 love it .
Awesome! I want that job! Pipeline has no pressure in it? Just Free flow? Do u test for leaking yourself before you move to next welds? Just curious. Im x-ray pipe welder for general Dynamic. There is lot of different techniques. Pretty cool.
Really like your videos. I like the story about his pink machine. I had my wife make me a bunch of pink caps cuz I lost my grandma to breast cancer over 20 years ago.
Wow, surprised that they allow the vertical down welds. Ive never done pipeline only heavy equip. And fab work. But, whatever works! Love the vids. Keep em comin.
Great videos, just recently found your channel. I have a line going in behind my home, just interested in pipelines in general now. I'm currently a pipefitter putting together prefab for Nuclear plants.
Just curious what is the reason for that style of welding helmet. I have only seen them used on pipe welding. Great welding machines you can't beat a lincon
Enjoyed the video. Back in the 80's to early '02 me and my buddies would razz each other. I worked service rigs, they did pipeline. Never saw what they did off hand. Kept jabbing them with it's nothing more than your old lady with a glue gun. I know it's a lot more involved. But it's easier to call them a princess during heavy rain or wind.
great video i just bought a sa 200 and i am still trying to learn the settings on the machine Austin how do you determine what to run the machine on for different size rods any advice would help thanks
Hey austin I enjoy watching your videos. Currently I am a welder with just SMAW GMAW, FCAW, GTAW certs in just structural steel. But going to get my pipe certs for SMAW and GTAW here in the next few months. I want to know how I can get out on the pipelines. Or even drill rigs on and offshore. I can stick pipe right now but going to get my certs for it and TWIC and Rigging cards. Any advice how to get a pipeline welding job?!
Great video, Big Daddy starting a new job Monday... we've been looking for some good fabric welding hats .. if you have a good source please let us know... Thanks for sharing and as always have an awesome day !
looked like it was just you guys there. do you guys make ur own hours and how many pipes do you have to weld a day? Also why do pipe welders wear the old school helmets?
Great video. Most of all I like how you all are easy going. Good guys. I can tell you humble yourself as welder. Not like these other guys in these 798 videos. I can't stand being on a job with those guys. But any ways great vid
I appreciate the videos I’m 29 and looking into getting into welding. Either ship yard or pipeline (pipeline preferred) for the last 6 years I have been a truck driver although I have been interested in getting into welding since I was 25. Do you think I am to old to pursue it? Is there a lot of older ppl pipelining or is it a young man game?
hey man nice vids, look like you are a real cool dude to work with hope sometime to meet you, i have been a rig welder for a while and structural and pipe welding is what i do everyday on the job, i want to swicht to pipeliner, i'm wondering how do i get in to those proyects to start my adventure, any tips?! cuz by knowing people is how i got started on rig welding!

You work for a company? And how many hours do you work a day? I’m about to start college to get my certification in welding. I want to do pipeline welding.
What type of flap does he have on his 200 it looks like a cross country set up Also are you using 8010g or 8010 pipeliner rods and why no pictures of the cap are you single capping or double capping
Austin and Kayla I think if u have a series with on the job vids would make ur channel boom not really alotta vids on RU-vid tht show tht side of pipe liners FYI! Digging the content lately tho👍🏼
Austin, I’ve been following u for a while, love ur videos by the way. One question, is that welder from Albuquerque New Mexico wearing ostrich boots for work?
