We can sit and point fingers at many reasons for lesser crowds in Goa, but I wish to list 3: 1. Scams & scammers everywhere 2. Tourists (especially domestic) are treated like shit by owners of businesses, hotels & stays 3. Most important reason is recession, mostly middle class Indians visit Goa & most of them are now in financial crisis.
Hate to say and agree to the Point that Domestic tourists, the main majority who brings business here, are treated badly. It's frustrating to See a fellow Indian (locals) treating other fellow Indian(Domestic tourists) harshly and rudely. But treating angrezi tourist like gods. This slave mindset I See in many tourist places. It's sad and funny that Indians treat foreigners with respect but treat their own people Domestic tourist with no respect. Who is bringing more Business? The Domestic tourist if you compare the numbers. But who is treated harshly? The same Domestic tourist. And locals be like yeah, don't come here, stay in your own state. But one day you would See empty streets in Peak season and realise How wrong you were. I have nothing against International tourist. They are our guests. And guest is God in our country. But don't forget to extend the same feeling to Domestic guests too aka your fellow Indian tourist. Well, this will sound like a rant but I yeah I am angry and sad. Even though I am not a goan local, but I feel sad to See less crowds in Peak season. I feel for the local Business owners. Lets change what's wrong in our attitude. I am saying this for both locals and Domestic tourists.

Enjoyed it as usual!! You know Moses, it pains (and I really mean it hurts me) to me to say that Goa needs to re-calibrate its pricing strategy, among other things. The post-COVID situation looks like it is over. International travel with all its previous restrictions (vaccination, RT-PCR testing and whatever else) is done. "Revenge tourism" is done with regard to India's favourite tourism destination, now that international travel is readily available, and somewhat cheaper too, considering everything. I understand that hotel operators have a lot of constraints. Lease costs, labour, etc. at the local level, visa difficulties at the national level, for international travellers, compared to what other countries are doing (Thailand, Malaysia and now, possibly Indonesia (read as Bali) with visa free travel). I genuinely hope and pray that Goa comes into her own again. That is my Christmas wish🤞🤞 A very Merry Christmas to Sharon and yourself and indeed, to your family too!! Many reasons for this barreness of Goa this year. Fun Facts 2023. 1. Prices of hotels are getting way to expensive and reaching skies. THEY NEVER NEGOTIATE ON PRICES. 2. New variant of COVID jn.1 now in Goa. 3. Lot of scams also going on Goa. 4. Security threat in Goa as it's very unsafe for Indians also not to mention the foreigners. 5. They charge 4000 bucks for drop from MOPA airport. And you might lose money 💰 before you have fun in Goa. Goa can improve a lot if people want to have future business.... 😊😊😊😊
1st reason might be unbearable price hike 2nd reason might be, now a days most of the people are not preferring heavy crowded places for vacation (even for party)

Sky high rates, expensive services, people feel they are scammed everywhere, that's why no crowd & if this continues then difficult to promote tourism in Goa.
Visited cafe venite in fontainhas and it was amazing. Talked to the owner also and asked abt u. He was a very sweet guy and told us that you are his neighbour. I wished our paths had crossed there😢 but still i m happy that i watched ur videos to make our itinerary to make our trip memorable. Thankyou so much moses❤
@@namithjain5137. Bike rental usually cost around 300 to 400 but now they will be close to 1000. kayaking they will ask for 1000 for half an hour. Sea sports they will say it’s diving but they will dip you for 1 min and show you small fishes gathered to eat food thrown by them, same with paragliding it’s around 30 seconds for 700 rs, car parking cost around 150 in one place, in club girls approach you for dancing if you dance with them they will drink water shot and bartender will charge you saying it’s vodka one shot 500 rs, they might put bad drug if you try hukka to overcharge you, they will treat you badly if you consciously order and doesn’t order costly seafood, police are in gully roads putting cases left and right settling for bribes later, Basically you feel like everyone is trying to loot you. If you protest they might beat you up too. These are some scams I personally saw… not at all problem if you have lots of money to spend though
@@namithjain5137the same resort I stayed for 2500 in last February is showing 9000 per night so obviously people are not willing to spend so much and then get scammed everywhere on top of it.
Came down on the 6th December 2023. Prices of everything have simply sky rocketed-Unbelieveable! Goa will soon price itself out from the Tourist scene. Transport, is once again a big rip-off.
Goa is becoming increasingly expensive , in fact going to Bali, Thailand or Malaysia is almost the same. To top that , lack of proper transport , insane expensive taxis .... we as tourists would rather go elsewhere... more bang for the buck basically. I still love goa , but it's just becoming really too expensive and not worth the money needed now for a New year's holiday trip.

I've been to Goa in December 2021 when covid was still quite prevalent and it was definitely more crowded than what I see in the video. The prices though were definitely cheaper then.

Was in Goa for 10 days from 20th Dec.. Loved south goa but literally hated north specially Baga and Calangute.. Visited for a day to north and changed my plans and went to Hampi. 😅

It’s too expensive considering the airfares, hotels and local travel costs. Also the level of cleanliness as compared to the south East Asian destinations. Everyone is looking for maximum fun at minimum cost.
Less tourists is good I feel. It helps people earn plus keeps the place clean and attractive. :-) Every time being full is not good. It spoils the place. Just my opinion.
Absolutely. Many people told us to cancel our trip in the peak season. But if things are like what the video is portraying we're gonna enjoy our vacation for sure 🙏

Local people are unfriendly to tourists.Last year I talked to many workers those who are coming to earn some money and contributing the economy of Goa. Goans are very unruly those who are contributing the economy of Goa.Later or sooner Goa has to pay for their unfriendly behaviour against workers coming outside from Goa.
Avoid goa...only scams over there..juat visit beach and come ,no other business...i lost 20000 rs.. bouncers threaten me and i heard one boy was killed by bouncer lately
OMG. I am visiting Goa now. I live in Thailand. The whole place is filthy and dirty. Roads are covered with dust and no sidewalks. The sides of the roads are covered with dust, cow dung, and garbage all over. It smells terrible. As if poverty is written all over the place. What can you expect in a poor dirty filthy countr
