Very beautiful and one of the popular tourist destination/spot which is famous for its story behind as Dona Paula who had jumped off from the cliff as her marriage (relationship) with a local poor fisherman was denied by her influential family in that era.
Dona Paula was daughter of a Portuguese viceroy who never bow down to her daughter's wishes and this place became popular.
Localite gave name of that cliff in memory of Dona Paula.
Its operate from 8am to 8pm which varies as per the season, ticket price is Rs 50/- per person and personal photography is allowed but not commercial.
This famous spot is hardly 7kms from Panjim.
This historic monument is named after the Goa Viceroy's daughter Dona Paula de Menezes during colonial rule. Dona Paula was a very kind woman and she fell in love with a local fisherman of Goa and decided to marry him but her relationship was denied by her father and she jumped off the cliff as a result.
