You really went to Goa in the worst time and speak badly about it. We went there in June and had pretty much great time there. We were swimming, having good party. Goa is better when there is no monsoon! It's from November to March. We love you videos but you shouldn't say to don't go to Goa 😊

Utkarsh Verma i was going to the same.. If u r living in a cheap place.. What do u expect??? 5star services??? I have been to goa many times n stayed in most of the 4n 5stars.. It was amazing.. Also if u stay in cheap places in foreign countries.. It is going to be nasty.. I have experienced dat in Amsterdam, n many more places.. Cost of 4star in india is equivalent to 1star abroad!!!

Ayush Singhal I don’t think they even paid $10. I’ve been to Goa many times and you can get a pretty good accommodation between $10-$18. No matter where you go, if you want to go as a beggar this is what you get. Even lower middle class Indians won’t live in that tin hut.

starlite 77 I have travelled my share of the world and I know the reality of India. Yes we need to work on ourselves and I don't feel ashamed in accepting that at all. It just aches me to see how people visit India and criticize it to the world without the true knowledge of what they have experienced. They only want to show poverty and slums! They don't know the potential of our economy, we are the 5th largest economy in the world and growing! We buy luxury brands here in India paying twice and sometimes even thrice of what they cost in Western countries. I am proud of my country! And we will all work together to remove the problems. Incredible India! My India!

Indians just can’t accept that India is still a very poor country with crumbling infrastructure, chaotic and downright decrepit cities that are filled with garbage,dirt,slums etc. There is no sense of civic pride among Indians who litter their surroundings with no after thought. It’s an absolute joke that Indians know the truth and yet always are extremely sensitive to any criticism of the current state of india. Nothing will improve until Indians accept this reality instead of always trying to conveniently ignore it, only then will things change!!

Hᴜꜱᴛʟᴇ Lᴏʏ I agree the country we inherited was the poorest on earth so it was never going to magically turn into Canada overnight. Add to that the rule of the Congress party for 60 odd years which accomplished very little in terms of economic progress and one understands the neglect that we all see. I feel change is only now starting to happen but change in India is always painfully slow. It will take a few generations and sustained economic progress to see the changes we all want.

They may not have visited at the best, ie tourist, season but it is still their impression. I don’t know about a misconception, I mean, what would you have wanted them to say. They weren’t disrespectful. Some places are great 365 days a year, some are rotten 365 days a year and most places fall somewhere in between. Also, perception varies across your own personal life ( lifestyle and culture ) and they gave us theirs.

A bit sad to hear how you guys feel about India. I have so much respect for you guys! And this comment is not coming from a bad place! Please know that! I just personally feel that their is just so much more to India than what you guys are filming tbh. I understand that certain environments may not be the healthiest. I get it, it makes traveling difficult. You guys are showing the reality of how it can be while traveling in India as foreigners, again I get it and respect your honesty. But India is so much more than that! I mean the exquisite history that's visible wherever you go is beyond amazing! The architecture, textiles, pottery, all the intricate crafts! It's just fascinating!!! It's clear as day that you guys went on an off season, you guys judged the place as not the best but you didn't get to see it at its best! Maybe next time plan a trip to go there around January. Either way, Goa is definitely not all about beaches and party life. Goa has tons of heritage sites. It was one of the major trade centers in India!!! The Portuguese influence is also visible since they ruled in Goa for as long as 450 years. I believe theirs even heritage homes that you can visit where you can see the beautiful Portuguese architecture. Anyways, I'm sure you guys find certain things beautiful about India. And I hope to see more videos that express that as well!! Sorry for the long comment! Sending lots of love. Safe travels! ❤️

Joseph Reyes may be u didn't understand my comment. Let me explain.. Goa is one of the most visited place in d WORLD u know why?? Food,beaches,adventure sports,drugs etc. It's a party town. But u can experience it on season. They went there in monsoon season. U know how much it rains in monsoon in Goa..a lot. also they stayed at a shitty place anyone who has visited Goa would able to tell. Water clogging,drainage is a big problem in monsoons. That is why NOBODY visit there in monsoons. If they had gone there on season then they would have different experience. Also they don't seem to be very smart people as in the other video they struggled to get a simple train ticket which a lot easier if u know what to do. It can be booked in 5 minutes online but they went offline and roam around hence I said u need to plan your trip better otherwise u r going to struggle in India because it's total chaos in india.

I am an international traveler and I am absolutely appalled by the attitude you have shown in this video. Firstly, you expect the place to be lush when you have picked the worst time of the year to go there. As international travelers that do this for a living, one would expect you to be a little thorough with your research. Indonesia or Thailand are completely inconvenient and a pain to travel through during the rains. Goa is no different in that aspect. Secondly, you seem to complain about your Airbnb, why did you not get in touch with your host and get the issue sorted, bar that gotten in touch with Airbnb and asked them to relocate you. I have personally had this issue and Airbnb have swiftly moved me to a better property at a partial cost. Airbnb holds its hosts accountable to certain standards. The state of the property is not an indication of that country. In my opinion you are travelling on a tight budget in a city that is known to be very touristy. Goa is known for its resorts, particularly in the South side. One can not expect to go to New York and have the time of their life on $20 a day. Finally, the only thing you seem to associate India with is poo on the streets and its lack of cleanliness. I admit there are areas in India that are less than picturesque, however, that is the case with any big country in the world, whether it is the U.S or the U.K, they all have rough sleepers, low income areas and crime in major cities. It seems like you're expecting to receive five-star treatment when you are travelling on a budget. I found your outlook towards this country really insensitive, I used to watch your videos, this will be the last.

Actually I think the problem is that most of them have the pre-conceived notion that India is gonna be extremely cheap which it is no doubt, but not to the extent that they think it will be. Legit saw another woman's(probably from the US) vlog where she was bantering that India is not that cheap as she had to pay around Rs.500 for their lunch( two people) at a restaurant in Goa. Like what do these people expect?

I don’t know why people are being judgmental here. They aren’t criticizing, mocking, or demeaning India or its people. They’re just being honest about their experience and it’s not based on a one time knee jerk response but on multiple experiences. I appreciate they still recognize the beauty of the people of India and admit that while others have shared vlogs that painting a glowing picture of India that simply hasn’t been their experience and they acknowledge it as their experience only. As someone who loves to travel and would like to visit new places I frankly appreciate knowing there’s poop on the beach or garbage everywhere, not that it would prevent me from deciding to visit there but that I wouldn’t go with false expectations and then be disappointed and upset when the reality didn’t live up to the glossy over edited and glowing reports by others on RU-vid. By the way, I live in San Francisco. Yes, there are amazing things to do, beautiful weather, incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge and awesome restaurants abound. There are also makeshift tents and garbage filling the sidewalks with homeless folks, smog that develops and hangs low after long days without a breeze, and car break ins in most tourist locations. It’s a nightmare to find parking in the city and traffic will make you lose your mind. That’s being honest. It can be a difficult city to visit but it’s also an awesome city as well.

ClashWithSam Thanks for replying. It’s always great to hear from someone who lives in a place others are reviewing. I totally agree, having lived near the ocean myself for most of my life, that weather definitely changes the color of the water so i would imagine at other times the water is beautiful. As to the poop maybe for whatever reason there was more noticeable to them when they were there, or maybe when you see poop in one or two places that overrides your judgment. For the record Sam, if you visit San Francisco, there are certain places by the water or in the city where human feces can be seen and I’ve seen it in London as well. It’s sadly a problem that crosses all cultures and countries.

There are good and bad parts to every country in the entire world. I'm sad they didn't have a good experience. A time with better weather and verifying lodging with reviews would have made a huge difference to their trip! I am not Indian, but I know this is not a true representation of the entire country. You guys hav come at the wrong time of the year. U must come back in December or January.. Monsoons are not the right time to visit Goa. About the poop, I'm sure it's not Human poop ur talking about. It's basically Cow-dung or dog poop. It comes from animals. There's nothing much u can do about it. It's Goa. Welcome to the Nature.. The beaches and the water looks dirty bcoz we hav red soil. During monsoons all the red blood water flows all the way from the land to the ocean. That's how the sea turns red. N looks dirty but its not. During Winter it looks fabulous. U guys must visit again during December or January and must review again. I can do Vlogging too and can deliver better expectations. Cheers

I love you guys and I really enjoy your videos, but I have a completely different opinion about traveling in India. We live in Canada and my daughter and I have traveled in India a couple of times; quite a few places. I feel like (with this trip anyway; don't know about your other trips) you could have planned a bit better and it would have enhanced your experience (we used the proper government Visa website, I obtained an Indian Railways account prior to going, we bought a SIM card as soon as we arrived, we researched the heck out of the guesthouses we stayed in before booking, etc.). I haven't been to Goa yet, so I can't speak to that, but we found it pretty easy to look past the unpleasant parts (poop/garbage in the street) to see the amazing culture, people, colours, food, faiths, clothes, sounds, that are the real India. And we LOVE the animals roaming the streets, lol! I do 100% agree with you though, that it's not for everyone and a lot of people should not go. Like an Australian woman said to me in Varanasi a few months ago, "There aren't many tourists, but I hope it stays that way so it's the same experience for us next time we come". Modi is working on cleaning up the streets, but India will never be for everyone, and that's a-okay with me. I appreciate your honesty, and your smiles!

Everyone is criticizing them saying it’s their fault for not enjoying India because they went during the wrong time of year - they themselves acknowledged this when talking about how rough the sea was. I would like to point out that many places are still comfortable and exciting in the “off” season so that line of thinking it’s somehow their fault doesn’t hold true with me. Their main issue as I understand it was how difficult India is to navigate when environmental differences, such as bug control, sewers and basic sanitation, or hotel amenities are so problematic it makes the experience uncomfortable or unenjoyable. I appreciate their honesty and perspective. They have the right to their opinions and should not be attacked for it.

One does not intentionally go to slums if they are genuinely tourists. Why visit a slum in India when you don't do that anywhere else. The agencies which conduct poverty tourism should be immediately banned, they surely aren't animals in zoo which people go to visit by paying money. There are plenty of vloggers who didn't had problem with hygiene or navigation because they spent money and didn't stay in 10$ Air Bnb. Do you seriously think navigation would be a problem in a world with internet. They claimed water isn't blue and is dirty, little did they knew that water looks blue due to sunlight and blue sky, not cleanliness. This is just one example of their ignorance. The thing is that they had already decided what they want to show and termed their prejudices as conclusions. Showing trash isn't something people are concerned with because that's a reality, it's the hidden agenda behind creating this video which is a worrying trend.

They are clearly disappointed with trash all over the place. Yeah that's true right? People here have the least sense of cleanliness and throw thrash wherever they want. Of course it's a big turn off for anyone! I think we Indians should take these reviews positively and work towards keeping our country cleaner? As we mentioned before, we have been to India several times in many different seasons. We've enjoyed the mountains, the beaches, the forests... And we recognize that the weather was poor, we knew that heading it. But our experience was not based on the weather, rather the environment and cleanliness. Goa is hailed as a shining example of Indian tourism but sadly we were left disappointed by an overhyped party beach.

But they didn't show anything and just came to the conclusion that India isn't good. Goa is not all about beaches and party. They could have shown us the Goan cuisines, the heritage sites, the Portuguese influences, but they didnt show anything. And it all woudn't have cost much too, as they are budget travellers. Also their choice of stay was a poor choice again, obviously they didnt do much research. The are many nice hotels and resorts available in India for just Rs 1500/- a night. They could have easily avoided those ants and stayed in a nice and dry and clean hotel. Even in their last vlog where they travelled in a train, they kept using the word luxury. EIther they do not do their research or they treat us condescendingly, because clearly that train wasn't a luxurious train. Any middle class person can afford to travel in that train.

Sorry for you to arrive there in monsoon season. I remember mine in 2016. We went there in June and all day raining and couldn't go near shore due to tides. Do come in Winters here in December or January. All the way sunny beaches and parties going on. Also, if you are still in Goa, visit churches, discover cities like Panji, Vasco da Gama, casino there in ship, many forts, old goa etc.

I really appreciate your honesty! I wish more people could have taken your criticisms in stride. Because unfortunately, it's true! You guys have been to several countries, are avid travelers.. ofcourse if you'll compare India to western countries, India will appear to be "dirty". I do agree with some people in the comments section that visiting Goa during monsoons was not the right decision. But I get your point, you are talking from a holistic experience.. And frankly people in our country need this reality check. Nothing much has improved in our country in the past 10 years in terms of the attitude of people towards maintaining this beautiful nation and keeping it clean. Instead of criticising them for choosing the wrong season or accomodation or having a smaller budget, we should take it as an eye opener and work towards keeping our country clean. That's the least we can do as responsible citizens. As an Indian it breaks my heart to see my fellow citizens being so careless and reckless when they litter in public spaces, tourist places and just throw trash anywhere they feel like without even realising the consequence of their action. And whenever personally I have tried to stop such actions around me , I am the one who is looked upon differently as if I am saying something unusual or wrong. This is our problem, that we have grown used to this carelessness. Having said that, I also want you as travelers to know that our country holds immense potential..I mean it's so rich & diverse historically, geographically, culturally, religiously that if you want to experience INDIA in its entirety it's going take days! Months even! From north to south , east to west, there is so much to explore and beautiful sights to see, it's truly incredible. I don't specifically want to mention about any one state as it will be unfair to the rest.There are places you can visit even when you want to relax and rejuvenate. Yes a bit of researching on the suitability of climate is a must and you need to be at the right place for the right experience.

Nowordformyname yes I am telling the fact i stay outside india my self I have been staying here since 6 years there are still few places only locals know about we don't know coz we are not born here so I can't judge the place if I don't do my proper research. And for a reason there is a thing called season and off season. If I come to your country and say that damn this place is so hot or cold and this is not proper that is not proper u will also tell me I had to do my research abt before travelling to your country and see the places to visit according to season and places to stay if I book a damn cheap place and complain then it's my fault coz I didn't want to spend more. Am not saying india is perfect there are things to improve but u can't just judge a country after having one bad experience that to coz of their own fault and not going to place where they should go during season time. What place will u get for 12 to 15 $ in your country. There thousands of tourist come during new year and Christmas they all are wrong to love that place do u think.

I backpacked around India with my girlfriend for a month last year, we spent on average under 10$ a night for sleeping in homestays and hostels and stayed max 3days per city, we went from south India, east, north and then west. My favourite city was a mountain city called Munnar, it was the most quiet city in India definitely, a "vacation" inside our vacation compared to the rest of India :P, it was quiet and peaceful and beautiful we climbed mountains there, it was also a lot cooler then the rest of India that was super hot so we appreciated the cooler climate of Munnar since we are from northern Europe we are not used to so hot and moisty climate. The food is amazing everywhere in the country. India was paradise for us as vegetarians so many flavours! We even dared to try a lot of different street food. We never got sick from street food, the only time we ever got sick was eating in a hotel. That didn't feel good but it passed in a day. India was an awesome experience! I have been to many countries but this is the trip that i will remember the most, it was a crazy adventure we were also there during the monsoon season but we already knew we were going to India at the worst moment but we didn't care, it was the only chance my girlfriend had a long holiday off work and we were prepared for rains and monsoon season so it was fine :)

I love the honesty. I can understand in a way where people are coming from when they get angry, especially if they are from India or love India, because I’m sure they want you and your audience to see it as they do. However that doesn’t change your experience. It doesn’t matter that you “should have gone another time” because you’re showing how it is at THIS time, showing your own personal experience and not pretending. Anyway, the honesty is awesome and I thought you guys were still respectful.

It's not like they are criticised only for being in wrong time. But the place they stayed too. Goa has all sorts of resorts to the kinds of places they stayed in. It's okay they don't want to stay in resorts but that doesn't you go to the cheapest hotel with worst services checked online. It's makes no sense to stay at a place where no Indian in there sane minds would stay if his objective was to enjoy the trip. Also the fact that Goa is not all about beaches. There are world heritage sites there. This narrative for me contains loads of bias disguised as honesty. This comes from a guy who has visited Goa multiple times. It seems they have researched well but only to show negative aspects of how the worst travel to Goa would feel like. And people aren't angry. People are criticising them for it. Just as this comment intends to do.

I wish you had come in season.Good time to visit Goa is Nov to Feb. To my fellow Indianz Dont feel hurt or offended. No reason to miff either. Stop pooping and peeing everywhere. Isn't that just true. If it's not human waste it's animal's. Unfortunately it is everywhere in India. It has been accepted by us, may be couple of subcontinent countries and few countries in africa. Northern part of equator only suggests that we are receiving more heat but that doesn't mean monsoon can't begin in hot environment. I hope you are aware that Monsoon arrive in Kerala in the end of may itself and monsoon hits Mumbai Midway June. Similarly Monsoon hits northern areas only till the end of June and beginning of July and sometimes may be as late as mid July. India is huge weather can't be generalised here in this area.

For some of you guys watching this, do try out Goa yourselves. Sure this is what they did but it might be a completely different experience for you. Especially if done right. If you wanna try out Goa, go to Vivanta by Taj’s Fort Aguada or Holiday Village and stay there it’s a great hotel. And on Saturdays visit the “Saturday Night Bazaar.” Some of the things they sell are wonderful. Try the food, yes some of the beach shacks are closed but the permanent ones are open and Goan food (is you’re not picky and want to explore) is awesome. Go to the night clubs, Goa is the crazy party place of India. You can enjoy it in the summer and monsoon. In the summer there’s more energy and all the beaches are open and there’s a lot of people and all that but in the monsoon Goa is greener and calmer. Visit spas, hike to the waterfalls, and if you want to see history visit the temples, cathedrals, forts and the museums. India is known for its culture and history. Yes, Goa is known for their beaches but it’s much more than that.

Why are you guys staying in such a budget place anyway? It’s possible to find a good place that’s not very expensive! If you are brought up in such good conditions then why stay in a shabby place that’s obviously cheap and you can’t expect luxury really. Goa has many good hotels mind you. Who goes to Goa in rains anyways?! You guys kept saying water is dirty, place is crappy, classic India etc which I think is not all that India is about. You obviously are looking only at the negatives and making it the highlight. Sad that you cannot see past that.

Haha I'm from Goa and well, if you want to come to Goa during the monsoons, don't head to the beaches. Trekking, visiting the waterfalls in the Western Ghats(the mountains on the border with Maharashtra and K'taka) is the way to go. Other interesting things to do: do a heritage walk around Fontainhas(Latin Quarter) of Panjim,visit the churches of Old Goa, see old Portuguese architecture, indulge in the local cuisine- hot spicy chicken Cafréal on a rainy afternoon,damn, ain't nothing better than that! About the beaches: Yes, when it rains due to the rise in the sea level and tides, the beaches do tend to get washed up. Vagator however,is, in season a large beach playing host to huge EDM festivals every year with headliners like David Guetta, Axwell and others playing.

I respect that you do not sugar coat your experiences and that you do provide honest opinions. However, I also think you need to slow down a bit. From the visa error to the bad accommodation, it seems like you are having glitches as a result of that fact that you are frantically trying to check off as many countries as possible - like the Amazing Race. I am not even clear what you were hoping to see or do in India. Note that some of the best vloggers are people who put down roots for a while so that they can share a deeper experience with a culture. (Look at some of the folks who are still showcasing Mexico an who were there over a year ago at the same time as you). I hope things get better in Turkey - relax and enjoy.

As an Indian myself, me or my parents won't stay or eat at places where MOST of the Foreign RU-vidrs stay or eat... I heard that it's because for their Budget reasons they are forced to stay in poor or below average places and eat street foods at random corners and make videos of them ..But anyone who can afford to atleast Stay in the Average or Mid-Range Hotels or eat can start to see the beauty of it.. I know few RU-vidrs who does High end luxury Stay and Eat in India but we are not looking for that expensive but atleast do not go tooooooo down below to homeless or extreme poor places or hotels or eateries and DO NOT give a statement about the WHOLE INDIA or that place.. (for example, it's like We visiting New York and staying in a shitty accomodation for $10 per day with flies and dirty toilets and visiting poor underrun shops nearby in the hood and Finally telling the world What America is ...😁..) hope every foreigner reading this got the point.. Many RU-vidrs I know who wanted to go to India has done their research of Middle to High Range Stays and travel and beautiful places across all States in India and calculated the money to spend and they are still saving to have a beautiful trip..that's they way to go.. Trust me, India is NOT Cheap as it looks.. Even Australia, America is cheaper in Food and Hotels when compared to the exact same Range of Hotels and food in India... Best advice is to have enough money + have a Indian friend or take an Indian-American friend with you , that way, Anyone can start from South to North and beautifully travel + enjoy foods and places EVERY STATE offers which are totally different 👌🏼.. Do not judge on Foreigners straight jumping into Mumbai, Goa or Delhi Laneways or shitty poor areas and making videos

Am I the only one who can see their accommodations? They are living in a freaking shed in the jungle??? Leave the weather aside for a minute, how can they complain about hygiene and other things when they choose to live like this? I am sorry but clearly they have themselves to blame and not the place. The simple truth is that they are "cheap".

You guys need to visit goa during the dec-feb time period. The water is never super clean and clear in Goa. But water quality depends on the exact beach you visit. Beaches like ashwem and morjim have best water during the dec-feb time period. During the monsoon season, you need to see the interiors of Goa, the waterfalls, the paddy fields, forest areas, etc. The arabian sea is quite dangerous during monsoons and most local fisherfolk stay away from the water during this season. Hope to see you guys come back to India and see Goa and other parts of the country.
@headhunter895

In their whole vlogs, they are sarcastically mocking India. This is not the season to visit goa. The places to visit during monsoon in India are Meghalaya in northeast India and Kerala in south India.
@stenhard61.46.1
@stenhard61.46.1 6 лет назад
You may not be aware of it but Westerners need a permit (ILP) to travel to those northeast regions and they are hard to get and even if you are granted a permit it can take months! Not Kerala and the south tho'.
@headhunter895
@headhunter895 6 лет назад
Sten hård ILP is required only in Arunachal, Nagaland and Mizoram. Meghalaya has no ILP. Meghalaya has even better infrastructure than north indian hill stations like shimla, manali etc.
@stenhard61.46.1
@stenhard61.46.1 6 лет назад
According to the government, Mega and most of Assam now needs a permit. The visa company I'm using in India to facilitate visas and permits said almost all permits except for some ngos are being denied starting about a week ago and they told me people had been waiting months before abandoning applications without ever getting a reply. So I not sure what to think.
@headhunter895
@headhunter895 6 лет назад
Sten hård Assam may require some permit because of ongoing NRC process done to find out illegal immigrants. You may require permit if you are entering meghalaya Via Guwhati Assam. But you don't require any permit if you are flying directly to Shillong capital of Meghalaya. There is daily flight from Kolkata to Shillong.
@stenhard61.46.1
@stenhard61.46.1 6 лет назад
Thank you for the information and clarification but since you can't actually get the permits the reality is that these areas are closed to westerners. So advising people to visit them at this time is rather pointless.

Why did you choose to go during monsoon season? That seems like such a big trip for just a couple days during off-season. I totally get your honesty for that short experience, but I have watched a few other (authentic and honest) vloggers that really enjoyed their time in Goa (and India as a whole). While it's true that India is an intense country to visit, there are many beautiful and clean hotels and such that you can stay at. Small budget + wrong time = worse conditions, right?

In India people throw thrash anywhere and there is no any system to collect it. You are right. Goa looks little dirty. But after few years Indians will know the importance of cleanliness. India is 150 years behind than Europe and usa as far as cleanliness is concern.

One thing you should note when visiting and staying India is: India is a country with multiple standard. The more you pay the better standard you get in almost everything . That’s also because india has a big poor population and cheap means have to be available and you cannot expect things to be smooth and clean there. For eg, if you pay $50-70 for Airbnb in india .. you get super cosy place.( the prices may be higher in some places) , north And north eastern India are clean ( places like Shillong, Himachal, Delhi comparatively to other big cities). If you pay less you are bound to get shits. When I visit India , I never pay less than that although I am an Indian.

Most of the guys in the comments, take it this way. I thought it was a very honest review. I'm from Bombay and I"ve been to Goa multiple times, and there are places in Goa that are really really great but I believe Goa in entirety needs to improve in things you've mentioned and one can't expect foreign tourists to just randomly bump into great places. People take dump on the beaches and urinate on walls. It happens in Goa, it happens in Bombay and it happens in every other city. We need to improve and till then instead of giving meaningless hate to someone's opinion it's high time we start working on a country that is speckless.

I don't know what people are on about, even during the season it's not that great. Most beaches I visited down south were not clean either that's just the truth. It's a decent place but definitely not great. Also to the people commenting about the season, there's still poop and trash during the season time so yeah.
@azamduccati
@azamduccati 6 лет назад
We understand looking at poop everywhere especially their stay inn anyone's gonna have the same views but in India you have to very picky about the hotels that you choose to stay. I have seen so many western vloggers who use Airbnb in India. While it might be good for the rest of the world, In India you have to learn about the more popular and reliable methods of acquiring accommodation so that you don't compromise on quality on a budget. And goa in monsoon always a bad time. India is not a place that you can just roam and stay casually and hope to have the best experience there is to have. It is my request to all travellers whether Indian or a foreigner please choose your stay and travel methods wisely. We understand that you try to have an indian experience but that's not how a normal indian travels, stays or eats. You guys just cant go to the worst places possible, stay at the worst possible hotels and then complain about it all. Yes there are more bad options than there are good but that's your responsibility to find out.

You had a wrong assessment on Goa.I am an Indian and stays in coastal area but we will never visit beaches during mansoon.It is more dangerous than cleanliness.Murkiness of water due to flow of rain water from river,which is heavily flooded with rain water.There is no alternative. Visit coastal area between September to May,so that you can enjoy real magic of Indian beaches.

agreed with you. yes, its off season but obviously the place looks really bad. trashes and poop everywhere? in short, THE PLACE IS NOT CLEAN. and it doesnt look like beach unlike other southeast asian countries even monsoon season, it still looks wonderful. even the place you stayed it looks gross. indian people here defending the bad weather condition, but its not only that. the place itself says it all! we should all be fair enough as travellers. its not mocking india, they are just telling what they saw and experienced during their stay.. which is really bad. they spent their time and money just to see the place but it turned out unsatisfying. no offense to indians, but i found this video informative and very honest.

RagingElch ...see it is not about the 5 star..if u choose to live in middle of a jungle in a shed... thats too in a rainy season..what would you except other than insects..and about the beaches..there are lots of beaches in Goa..since people are not aware of them..so most of them end up on the common beaches(like waga)..if u decided to stay in 1or 2 star hotel..and ask the owner about the beaches..they will suggest u some great location as I was suggested Mariam beach..no crowd..peace..all I want on a beach..and india is very cheap only when you know right location to buy stuff..like only buy beers from roadside shops not on the beach(they charge u twice the cost)..🙂🙂

It's not about defending the weather. You've got internet. Just search what are the best places to live in Goa and you'll be fine. They themselves are to be blamed for this experience. Before going anywhere, make good use of internet otherwise don't crib if the experience isn't satisfactory.

New Orleans 2. Philadelphia 3. Los Angeles 4. Memphis 5. New York 6. Baltimore 7. Las vegas 8. Miami 9. Atlanta 10. Houston City of angels: A homeless person looks for food in a trash can along Wall Street in Los Angeles, which was voted the third dirtiest city in the U.S. Big Apple: A garbage barge floats by the Statue of Liberty in New York, which was the fifth dirtiest city, a drop of four places from last year And many more but i didn't criticize.

The crime in Goa is rising and their are communal tensions as well. Even for Indians from other states Goa is not safe as local Christians hate Hindu Indians and their only aim is to rip off tourists. If not able to rip off they will beat and loot you. The police sides with the locals, no one cares about tourists. Alcohol adds up to all off it. The streets are full of Alcoholics and criminals.
