Sao Joao is the feast of St. John the Baptist observed all over Goa on 24th June. A procession of village youth wearing crowns of leaves, carrying bottles of Feni advance through the village and jump into the wells of villagers to have fun. They consume plenty of fruits on this occasion and are virtually unstoppable when they indulge in revelry. Lets us take a look through the San Joao festivites of the day.
