You can actually minimize on the cost if you buy locally, if you are situated in a village try and find people selling some of this timber especially poles.

The structure itself takes less than a plot and you can assign another plot for their play yard. So, roughly about 2 plots is required for goat i.e. both shed and play yard. So, remaining areas can be used for other thing. Sorry, by the way am from Nigeria and 1 acre = 6 plots in Nigeria. So, if you use 2 plots for goats, you still have 4 plots left for other things. The problem is that you will still about 2 acres separate to plant grasses for goats.
