Good ☔️ Monday morning, Dan and Lou. On the board going to the tree, you might put thin strips of wood on top of the board every few inches. This will help the goats climb up and down without falling off the board. If you have any old tires you could cut tire in half, stand up on the ground, bury the cut end in ground. The goats could jump off and on. ❤
That's what I was thinking too, it will keep her little feet from sliding out from under her as she goes up and down. I was also thinking about a set up like that on the other side of the tree, so she can go up over then down.
Dan, you could also put some of those rounds around the bottom of the tree so she can jump down on those rather than straight to the ground. That tall round on the end would work to help her get down on the opposite side of the ramp. Also putting slats across the ramp would help her climb up. Good luck.
@@robbiecail77 It’s just going to get more slippy as time goes on. There is a reason why most ramps have something like this, even those for goats. Better safe than sorry.
Dan you have a heart of gold when it comes to your mini herd. Love that pickles was supervising you when you were building the gym. Bam Bam will love it and so will the other goats if they have play date.
Wonderful idea Dan, giving her a playground. She looked so Happy. (Hope she never tries to jump from the height inside the tree). It was fun seeing her have happy zoomies.

Hey Dan , well it’s plain to see Bambi loves her play area, you did a great job , I think maybe if you added 4-5 spaced little pieces of boards across going up the board to the tree would make it less slick for her and a platform to go out on to lay on , on the other side of the tree with boards going down to another stump to jump and climb on coming down would be fun for her and Maybe put a lower maybe 6-8 inches or so small platform off the ground that Pickles could get up on with boards going across to another short 4-6 inch tall stump so pickles could cross over and play also! What a neat play yard the goats will have ! Dan it’s so sweet that you’re doing something for the goats to have fun on and it’s a lot of work , but what fun you’ll have watching the goats play and the cows snd horse seem to enjoy walking around it I saw Buffy weaving in and out of the stumps also ! Dan I must say you are the man with talent using a tractor you really did a great job moving that tractor around in that tight spot 👏👏👏👏, I was very impressed ! Good morning Dan , it's cute hearing Bambi crunching on the treats and her hoof sounds on the board I think you can buy grit strips to put on boards so not as slick. Also you could put straw or mulch below and go down other side of tree with boards just a thought.❤
Dan, just put another board coming down from the other side of the tree. This will prevent Bambi from getting hurt. Because you know a goat likes to jump. Bambi was having lots of fun, but it looks like little ball goat wanted to play too. Great job ❤
Maybe a small platform for her to lay on at the top and something to make the boards less slick😊 good idea because I always see Papaw goats having a good time on stuff. By the way, you scared me to death on that tractor, be careful.
Oh I just loved this Dan! To see Bambi running and jumping around then every time she jumped off she get the zoomies a little till the end she came booking down and took off full speed! Her little hooves tapping on the wood was so cute too. I was thinking maybe you can some how put a little platform in the middle of the tree then take the other 2 stumps put them on the other side so she doesn’t have to turn around up in the tree it can be one pass through. To make the boards less slippery you can put some of that rubberized paint on them, I. Sure there’s some kind of non slippery surface that wouldn’t be toxic if they nibbled on it. Great job Dan! I love the goat tree you made! I bet if you put little slats across the board going up to the tree Bambi won’t be able to slide down & get hurt. The slats will give her stopping areas like stairs & a lot more confidence. Thanks for sharing ❤
Good morning Dan 👋🏻 u def have the right idea putting it under the tree👍🏻 tht way in the summertime she has shade. I did the same thing last summer, but I didn’t use a board to the tree, LOL. I actually built just a couple of platforms. I put one like right where u have the darker colored board, and I used a couple of pallets to do it. I just moved the boards closer together so they’re legs couldn’t go between the gaps. I attached the backside of the pallet/platform to the tree and then I made the next platform next to tht one but I made it just a little shorter. I also had an old slide from a swing set tht is tht hard plastic and I attached it to the top platform. My goats love it and they hang out there all the time. I also sunk a post in the ground and used Jake’s idea, and attached a couple broom heads to the post and they love scratching on those things. I also made a small A frame deal an made a small swing out of a pallet and some rope, they love tht thing also. Hope these ideas help some. Have a great day guys, God bless u all 🙏🫶🏻
It’s so cute to see Bambi playing on the gym but I myself would not leave that cement block down at the bottom. If she does jump out of there, she could get hurt from the cement block itself.
So cute watching Bambi run and jump! I'd add a couple of cross bars on the board going up into the tree to give a little traction. You could even do a board coming out of the tree on the other side so she can climb down. Great little jungle gym! She certainly had fun and got the zoomies to boot!
Great start to the play ground. Suggestion, maybe put something down to help with traction on the board going up to the tree. And do different heights for the other tree stumps.
Oh Dan you need to be careful out back lifting all those heavy stumps. If you get hurt, there’s nobody there to help you.. you love that goat! lol you may come our later and have a mini cow or horse in the tree🤣🤣🤣 guess you have to build a ramp down the other side too. Maybe cut some small little strips of wood to go across it so Boards so she has a little stoppers when she’s walking up and down? My goodness they are so cute Dan. Enjoy them…. Great job on the goat play station! Will keep Bambi entertained and for some exercise! I know from cutting trees on our property how heavy that wood was! You did a fantastic job!

Hey Dan, great play area into the tree. I would come out the other side of the tree with another ramp downward. So the goat does not have to turn around in the tree. If you put strips of wood across the ramps, it will give the goat more traction to avoid slipping off. Buffy acted like how do I get up there too, looks like fun. Those logs sure look big and heavy, so it a sturdy base to play on. Sure is cute watching her play around the logs and ramps.
This is such a cute video. Loved how curious everyone was and I think Bambi approves! A project for the cows and Buffy could be a scratching station with brushes can be fastened where the animals can reach their back, neck and head. What fun!!

Just a suggestion. Lester has a young man that helps out on the weekends sometimes. He works for the tree company that did the back clearing of the pasture at the sanctuary. Between him, Lester (translator) and you, both of you could get some of those trees down and cleared. Lester had said you are the best tractor driver he had ever scene. Uriel works with the tractor around big trees and he may be able to show you a few things to do and you could show him some too. He probably would love to see Buffy too. Horses just love him. As I wrote at the beginning, just a suggestion.

Very cool idea! Maybe put some 1” x 2” slats to go across the boards so Bambi doesn’t slip. You could also build a platform around the tree with another ramp that goes down the other side. Or better still, you could totally build a tree fort for Carter and Cash! 🥰

Also, put some boards on the back side so she can't jump off that way! The treats are too big for them. Youll need to break them in pieces to make it easier for them. Yeah maybe put the board going up the tree bringing one end down to the ground. That way she has a plank and then one going to the ground. She REALLY LOVES IT!!! Great job and so nice of you to do it for her! 🥰

Hey Dan! Cute idea for the goat jungle gym. For the slippery areas, just attach little strips of some old roof shingles, or sandpaper. Might need a board on.the other side of the tree as well. Also, i can't tell from the video, how close the tree is to the fence... hopefully it's not close enough that Bambi can jump over into the other pasture. You can tell Bambi likes it already. Thats super cute! ❤
Dan, I love the goat ramp & logs. I'd add a ramp on the other side so they don't need to turn around. I'd also put strips for footing to help them when the ramp is slick. Goats are entertainers, for sure! ❤😊

What a wonderful enrichment for Bambi!! The tree is a bit scary. But you could put some slates on the board goin mg upward for grip. Also, please can you do the same at ISS. Maybe just the tree stumps and a few boards. Brilliant idea Dan!!
Norma here. After all that hard work, heavy lifting and amazing tractor maneuvering, I’m happy to see that Bambi loves her new playground. It was well worth the effort. You can add some grip tape to the boards so she doesn’t slide. Also, Is there anything you can put on the other side of the tree that she can jump on to so she doesn’t attempt to jump all the way down, or add more boards to that side so she can walk all the way down? You’ve got a tree goat on your hands. lol.

Maybe just put up a board on the other side of the tree so Bambam can't jump off the tree. Also, put some wood going across the plank horizontally up to the tree so his hoofs don't slide. It will provide some traction. Perhaps put some more stumps to form a circle around the tree too? I'm not a person to build things, but perhaps those suggestions will help? I love how you've created a playground for your goat, Bambam. You're a good man, Daniel. She is a happy and loved goat.🙂🦋
I think the tree is an excellent idea. Heres what I would fix. 1. Add little strips of wood to the ramp, (like chicken ramps) so Bambi doesn't slip. 2. On the opposite side of the ramp where you're afraid she'll jump. Make a few tiered platforms (with a lip around each edge for when she jumps itll catch her) no more than 20" for each tier since she's just a little goat. This will give her little platforms to lay around on a chew her cud. 3. If there's any other spots you think she might jump from or fall from block them off with a railing, or some other blockade. 4. Add one more goat so they can play together.

I still like your idea but maybe you can find a way to make modifications where you will feel a little bit more comfortable. I like the little Jim you made for bambamaybe. The tree is a little high but if you cut a piece of that wood like the length of your bucket. Of the tractor and take the board out of the tree and put it on another tree stomp, not in the dream and then put smaller boards across it. So he has a little grip for his feet. Dan, I love the care that you put into your animals! I think you are on the right track, tree and all. Someone else had mentioned placing strips on the board for goat traction. I can agree to that. What you might consider is adding different levels that Bambi can jump to from the tree. Goats love to play king/queen of the mountain. You just have to think ahead and provide further options to keep them out of trouble. I have seen folks use wooden ‘playgrounds’ like pirate ships and such to allow their goats play. They love it! Bambi will learn where and where not to go. I love it! Just provide an option or two coming down through the tree or back over Bambi’s right shoulder. Creative and fun. Love this!
Out on a limb Dan!! Lol What about a platform (4'x4') behind the tree halfway up or so from the ground? Add another ramp from it down to a log. Add small pieces of wood going across the ramps to prevent slipping. My concern would be, Her climbing higher up into the tree? That could be a dangerous fall. Prevent climbing higher and I think she would really enjoy running up the ramps and the use of the platform. She could use to take a nap. Along with the other logs placed around to jump from one to another would be lots of fun.
