Tears comes to my eyes when I see these videos she reminds me of my greatgrandma and my grandma they were both over a hundred years old and they thought me as well as some of my cousins this traditional life style oh how I miss my home when I was a child. Thank you for this video and the beautiful memory of my ancestors! Many times the ignorant forget how important the elders are I will never let that memory and special moments die. This lady in this video is truly a blessing!
Granny has had a hard life: Widowed at 18 with 5 kids, a fire, just "life" in general. But she never gave in to self pity nor ever lost her faith in God or goodness.That is why God has blessed Granny and given her good health and a strong will. Even if you do not believe in God, you can still be inspired by Granny's example. God bless you Granny!!!
In English subtitles you see she says she was married at age 11, to a "very handsome" man. He died 7 years later, after she had the 5 children. She also said she'd asked him before he died, what would she do without him - he told her that she's smart, she'll manage. And so it seems she did... Not that it's right by any means. I have an old, old book of Indian poetry and in it are poems by child brides... not very happy at all. I'm sure Grandma, just like many through the ages, accepted her lot in life because she had no other choice. Perhaps prayed a lot as Samidella idella states.

The blessed Grandma resemble my sweet grandma,.who used to make great fish curry and loves watching me have it after I'd returned from school, ..reminiscing my grandma through you dear grandma. BTW the secret of this blessed grandmas long life is that she makes other happy with his cooking and care, hence god is with her always. Good that we are blessed to watch the amazing cooking ability of blessed grandma,..who has been very genuine with her life, caring,sacrificing, being strong in bringing up her children and watching her great grand sons and daughters at this grand age with good health. I think her life is contended life and people like me entangled with this modern world,.who's unsure how we are going to handle this complex world at present and going forward, grandma is an godly example.
