Brilliant vlog as always chris, the funniest thing was when you said to Marvin” you ok Marvin” and she replied “NAWWWWW” aka NO in English or Naw in Scots, the look she gave her kid and you was “WTAF IS THAT?” I do hope all is well witb your Ewes & lambs and you beautiful new young cows. The absolute joy of soring summer is skipping lambs and kids with young calves but while we love seeing them in the fields it’s people like yourself who remind us what work goes into the care & damn hard work that farmers do to bring food to the table. I can’t wait until the day that Little Farm Fridge is open again. Well done Indy on telling the nosey parker where to go to. Much Love Izzy in The burbs of Glasgow.
Impressive - relatively cool calm collected lambing set up - organized - seems relatively easy to walk the fields with the ewes about/already lambed...👍👍👍👍 So many other sheep channels are running/driving around like chickens without their heads to check up on and catch ewes with problems. Great to see a content proud sheep farmer checking up and seeing some good results from his many months of work getting to this point.
Great video. I like your style, some of the others I struggle to watch as it they ruffle my feathers with the way they do things. You are very organised chaos and calming, even when shit is going wrong, you just have a great outlook on it all that gels with me.
Great fan if your videos, I don't think my daughter of 14 years appreciates them but it is important to learn where your food comes from. Happy to say that since I started watch your channel we have gone from never having lamb to cooking it at least once every two weeks.
I agree with you about foxes, I have a friend who lost 10 chickens to one! Just killed the lot! Lovely lambs tho! Oh how I laughed when you said one good cough! 😂 will you dare say that to Zoe when you have kids? 😂😂 Shame about Zoe’s nice leopard print coat getting ripped tho!
Good luck with caravan life and Lambing. I could do with those spare ribs as i fell from a ladder and ended up in hospital for a week. Now stuck inside watching RU-vid farmers all day.
I blame cartoon animals for making the public forget that carnivores often kill for practice or just for spite. They don't skip about in a colourful vest with a jar of "hunny" in real life.
My vegetarian friend tried to tell me that foxes don’t kill lambs. With 1540 ewes lambing outside I have picked up plenty of 1/2 eaten lambs. Our cade count is 40, and still lambing.
Great video. Well done on getting that huge lamb out - and the backwards one. Please tell Zoe how sorry I am about her coat. I've got a leopardprint coat, too, and I'd be devastated if it were ripped. Hopefully, she can mend it so it doesn't show.
do you vaxinate for toxo? we got hit this year annyingly... think it had been bubbling under surface since covid but didnt notice as was only hitting prelambing on %s
While I, as a non-farmer, like foxes I do not blame farmers in the slightest for hating them. I won't try to change your opinion at all, because those lambs are your livelyhood and how you support your family. In your shoes, I'd hate them too.
Its not just foxes its the crows . Sad day at a other farm sheep got trapped and the crows plucked her eyes out . It was so sad to see .They put her down .
You’ve got hundreds of sheep havent you?Usually you have some here and some there and we don’t see them altogether.Do hope the weather stays warmer for you.
