There have been a lot of great wrestlers in WWE over the years. And ever since SmackDown first started airing in the summer of 1999, there have been a lot of them who’ve found their main home there. After all, with it at point’s being the company’s A show, it's no surprise there’s frequently been a deep roster of main event talent holding down the fort on the blue brand. But who are the greatest smackdown superstars of all time? Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to be looking at today.

I hated him mainly because he was always beating Angle and Guerrero who were 2 of my favorites. But the older I got the more I appreciated his run. I have always been a fan of the heels, just couldn’t get into jbl as a kid. Now I’m older and can say he is underrated

We laugh about it now because they used it so often. But the "I'll put you in a tag team match main event" was brilliant. It promised stars would be in action, while keeping the big singles matches for PPV. New Japan uses that booking all the time. Also there was something really fun about watching someone responsible deal with the madhouse of crazy gimmicks and intense wrestlers instead of a scheming boss trying to constantly screw over his own money making babyfaces.

Remember a match on Smackdown where Batista had to team with Colin Delaney, Nunzio and Funaki. If his team lost, he'd never get another title shot while on the show. Colin, Nunzio and Funaki took a metric ton of punishment and really showed how tough they were by making sure Batista won the match. EDIT: He teamed with Nunzio, Funaki and Colin Delaney against La Familia. That was the match.

To answer your question about Cena, I thought there was a good chance he might have missed the mark because so many other guys are more closely associated with Smackdown in my opinion. Sure, Cena grew and first became World Champion as a Smackdown guy, after that, he was mostly a Raw guy through and through and that was when he was the top guy. So much so, it took them forever to finally put him back on Smackdown proper (still haven't forgiven the tease in 2011). But yeah, his run is certainly good enough to justify the spot on the list.

Smackdown always has special place in my heart, since i was so poor back then and my family doesn't have tv cable(Astro in my country) to watch Raw. And i knew Benoit does do bad things to his family, if that accident doesn't happen, he will be my no 1 wwe superstar for SD. I mean he is the 1st person who got Brock submitted with Cripple Crossface.

AJ style is so important for Smack down that he make that program relevant again when was left behind by Vince after Edge retirement. Was 5 years that smack down was just a secondary show. Not until “Smackdown became that House that AJ styles Build!”

Its a crime you left eddie out of the thumbnail… Also not sure about current followers of WWE but as an older fan i feel like smackdown is the original 1999-2008 … the newer one just doesnt have “IT” . That being said, I started watching smackdown live again for the first time since 08’ … i have been tuning in last 3 episodes.

2009 heel Randy Orton was RAW guy but 2018 heel Randy was Smackdown. Still debate if he is a raw or Smackdown guy, but I say RAW mostly and hope he returns to RAW in the next draft.

It’s probably high school day bias speaking here, but I look back on 2009 SmackDown! with fond nostalgia. Batista, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, MVP, Edge & Big Show, all watched by heel GM Vickie Guerrero. Again, probably high school days bias, and probably not reflective of the product.
