The funniest part about Goblins is that if Purrely ever becomes popular again, Goblins eat those cats alive, not even unaffected and untargetable Noir is safe from the detach effects of the Goblins.
@@WolfPackAlpha-sn2swwhat? Don't you just need Dug for that? Use Dug in hand to detach the Purrely monster material from Noir, then Noir is no longer a quick. No combo required.
I would not be surprised to find out that the spike collar and wristbands were not edited in for the thumbnail. Like, Joseph just *has* those. Purely for theatre kid reasons
The stupidest, most unneccesary localization for no reason. Their ENTIRE THING is that they trap and RIDE a bunch of random monsters. That's why they have different attributes. It's why they jack your opponents monsters/xyz material and get on top of them. There isn't a single bike anywhere in any of their artwork, and they just change the name completely for LITERALLY NO REASON
I really hate the ghostrick package in Goblins. The deck is so much fun when played with Gold Pride or a bigger PUNK package. I finally get to play Wind Up Goblins now since Zenmaity is legal in MD.
The Baron de Fleur towers match is a prime example of why one should run the goblin archetypes continous spell card that gives a 2nd normal summon of goblin monsters. He would have had some gas to atleast go into Gabonga and get any of the goblins that can detach an XYZ material to special summon themselves to field; the removal of said material would trigger Gabonga's effect to suck up the Baron.
@@ADeliberateTypo i mean, the entire point if the Archetype is a swarm tactic + detach XYZ mats from any XYZ card on the field. Grand Bash is what facilitates the entire archetype. No Grand Bash? Why play the archetype in the first place then?
And why is it so expensive?? Just the Ghostrick parts are 3 UR, not including the UR for UDF himself. Mix that with the fact that the engine as a whole takes up 1/3rd of your ED (including UDF) all for a single negate & steal. I get XYZ decks are hurting for negates since their gimmick is way harder to build specific paths when compared to adding numbers up to 10 for Baronne but that's a hefty cost just to mimic what anyone with a tuner can do
@@babbit09 If you are hurting that bad for a monster negate then just run either Cicada King, Ashura King or Gossip Shadow which are cheaper( most players probably have Cicada King from Legacy Pulls, Ashura King is only an SR and Gossip Shadow is an R ) can be easily made natively, take up only one ED Slot and don´t require running a Garnet. I personally like running Kashtira Goblin Bikers, since the Kashtira Cards are good at baiting ash, offer great interruption, gives me easy access to XYZ Monsters to detach materials from and let me use Armored XYZ to summon Ariseheart during my opponents turn, if they run something like Tear.
@@secondmemelord8859 That's my point, there's many other options for GB to run instead. I opt for a couple synchro monsters myself, namely Coral Dragon and Shenshen using Scrap Goblin (and sometimes Nyannyan) as the tuner. Best part about Shenshen? Detaching materials doesn't count as "field to GY" so its effect doesn't work on your detached materials, meaning that it's basically a one-sided floodgate (not to mention it can recycle any of your monsters that happen to get banished)
Sadly I think the best way to use the goblins is as a supplementary engine in PK level 3 combo pile. With Gabonga, 2 level 3s allow u to make 3 mat apo, utopic draco, fog blade and an I:P/S:P (yes generic end board whatever it still cooks with goblin bikers). U could also make vertae > DPE but I don’t want to add 3 bricks to an already bricky deck. I play 2 charger, 2 entrance, 1 mercilous, 1 gabonga and that’s all u need. Basically make gabonga, summon both bodies after charger > entrance, make any rank 3 then draco future. Entrance grave ef add back charger, summon mercilous then u can summon charger from hand. Make cherubini. That’s the general opening path and it gets better based on the starters/extenders. Terrortopand torren scales are 1 card combos but any 2 level 3s can do it, even boots and water enchantress. U can play through handtraps kinda, um, okayish, this is as much as I think it’s possible to break goblin bikers. They needed to not be designed in a way in which they have to detach material to summon themselves, but the amount of material u get off Gabonga is silly.
You can also do something similar except you splash in Infernity cards, which can let you end on 3 mat Appo, a live Tri-Gate Wizard, I:P into S:P, 2 Fog Blades, 2 Barriers, and 1 Break.
@@Ruby_Mullz The gist of it is that you use Pahntom Knights and Goblin Bikers as level 3 extanders to make Cherubini to dump FIendsifh Rino Warrior to dump Archfiend Heriess to search Infernity Archfiend, and then use your onboard monsters as materials for an at least 3 mats Saryuja to summon Achfiend and start the endless chain of spamming out a billion link monsters and searching Infernity traps. I took the list from an old video of Infernity Nerd YGO on RU-vid and slightly modified it according to what's legal in MD (most notably 3 Terrortops + 3 Launchers).
If you have Ghostrickshot in hand the Gobbos have a lot of ways to detach Alucard without using Angel effect! Detaching and attaching material is like 50% of what they do!
0:24 True, all the times I came back to the game were on Runick stun everywhere on ladder, tear format (me broke ass couldn't build tear), Snake-Eye, and now Tenpai. Liking this game is a curse
Honestly seems fine, pretty much every list is running a secondary engine of 3 stars, he can combo without a normal off etele with the punk engine and the extra deck is cracked going first if they cant break it
@@fireky3list has no goblin continuous or grand pile up, which cuts you off from goblin crazy beast, your best spell removal plus mons destruction protection. No continuous means no added extension or level manipulation so you don't get evolzar negate or any other level 6 utility. The stampede trap is not worth for the negate, you could just make gossip shadow or ashura instead, plus you already have the xyz trap to xyz summon, without the restriction to goblin monsters (which are honestly just your extenders). Grand pile up is better as it can cheat out the goblin crazy beast to prevent destruction and can act as graveyard removal. Ghostrick package sucks and is super bloated. 5 ED slots for one monster is bad, you can go into more toolbox level 3s instead or links monsters.
@@fireky3along with the stuff jaqtonido said(though bash sucks fat dick pre support only pileup is worth it), punk package can indeed be good in goblins but even the package he's using is bad madame and gabu are horrible useless bricks you only need 2 ze amin for foxy and etele targets, also running etele without ghost ogre in tenpai format should be a crime and he's also not using crossout when the deck implodes to the roach
Yeah, they technically ride monsters with customized armor that may be motorized. I will admit the "Goblin Biker" moniker sounds really cool despite technically being Riders....but I have to say, the entire localization for the core deck monsters sucks balls.
Yeah, they technically ride monsters with customized armor that may be motorized. I will admit the "Goblin Biker" moniker sounds really cool despite technically being Riders....but I have to say, the entire localization for the core deck monsters sucks balls. Instead of Mianda the Merciless, we get Mean Merciless.....Are the localizers 4th graders? Clatter Sploder? Dugg Charger? Boom Mach? Instead of bikers with cool titles they sound stupid
Their Japanese name is Goblin Rider, but they chaned it to biker probably because... idk, they didn't want you to assume they were riding goblins or something
There’s a version of this deck that I like to play with a Cherubini and the two BA’s that go along with it. It lets you go into bardiche for a monster negate and brigandine which lets you go into IP. I also run sangan to search arboria so I can summon Malong. I can use that to overlay into lars with the lvl 6 goblin so I get an omni and a compulse. Pretty cool stuffs
Mbt, seriously. Why the hell didn't you put at least 2 copies of Grand Bash? It is basically the backbone of the entire archtype, allows the Bikers to swarm, makes them bulkier and lets you modulate levels for an easier XYZ Crazy Beast. Sure, they will try to pop it as soon as they can, but at least your board will be made
I'm enjoying the deck but I don't play the P.U.N.K cards, they just felt like a tag on when the deck isn't that desperate for a special summon, next wave of support should help but I do hope at some point the deck just gets it's own special summon or a way to cheat out a XYZ, like a card that just did XYZ summons any goblin XYZ and attached itself as material and easier access to crazy beast from such a card would be nice but that would be the dream.
the kash duel at like 10:00 is the epitome of why i stopped playing the deck tbh it always feels so close to being able to do things but it just doesnt have the teeth
Just saying, Goblin Bikers play fairly well with Evil Eyes. The Evil Eye engine by itself can get you a Rank 3 from 1 card, and they have 3 of those one card combos.
Considering the only in-engine UR this deck needs is 2 Bongyahead, its actually an insanely cheap budget deck you can go for. I had my list built and ready after like 20 packs. I dont got the dust to go for Tour Guide and Punk stuff but deck does just fine without it. Ashura King also is insane for finishing games.
You can cut down on a lot of the unnecessary URs on Joseph's list. Cut the (3 UR) Tour guide, run 3 Ze Amin, 2 Psychic Wheeleder 2 Psychic Tracker For the extra deck, you can drop the Ghostrick cards (also 3 UR) for budget options like Gossip Shadow and Ashura King. Other cards like handtraps and Extra deck staples (Zeus, Ty-Phon, S:P) are worth crafting because you're gonna use them in other decks anyway.
@@harusrl because it's 3 UR you have to craft that gets you 2 Lvl 3 monsters on the field, SR Ze Amin could do that, SR Psychic Wheeleder could do that, N Psychic Tracker could do that. If you could afford 3 Tour guides good for you, but I just provide cheaper alternatives for budget players.
@@owenbas Another cheaper option than 3 Tour Guides are 3 Terror Tops with 1 Taketomburg. At the cost of running one semi garnet you still get access to any play you want without even using your normal summon
- you realize playing 2 means you draw it more often right? Even if you preserve the target in deck, it's still a brick in hand. - Maybe I'm missing something, but wouldn't you have to draw the continuous spell in that scenario? I guess it helps sometimes but would have done nothing for that hand.
@@markgarr7836 -it preserve the combo, and is a discard outlet for whatever, like Utopic Ray Lancer -Dugg can search it, so in that particular scenery it would have allow him to make a play like going into Gabonga and search another dude to trigger Gabonga and remove Barone, or some other rank 3 to do so or a link play if you prefer...
@@markgarr7836 In the Baronne Scenario MBT had Imperm in Hand to negate Baron. He could have negated her, summon the Searcher, search the continuous spell, extra normal summon the other guy, make Big Gaboonga, search Boom March so it could detach from Big Gaboonga, use Big Gaboongas Effect to suck up Baronne, swing twice, then make Zeus. Unless his oponnent then drew their one remaining Unicorn, Fenrir or Birth ,MBT would have won.
Tour guide summon mean rider, rank 3 gabonga search dugg, dugg detach mean search entrance, mean rider ss, then make torpedo, torpedo effect draw 1, rank up rank 5 armoured guy, detach add xyz armour trap, rank up to dark Knight, then grand entrance search biker that ss summons from grave, remove dark Knight material summon the biker you searched then ss a biker from grave either go ip or leave 2 level 3 goblins on field to xyz in opponents turn, Gabonga attach boom mach in end phase.
Goblin player since pre-release. You gotta get rid of the ghostrick and punk package. Playing ghost ogre is pretty good cause it doubles as an extender in a pinch or interrupt/bait. Gossip shadow feels way better than cicada king if you only want to play one of them. I don’t like imperm cause everyone is on board breakers this format, mourner and effect veiler felt much better to draw. I’d get atleast 2-3 more links and dump the Utopic line, plays harder into nib. Grand pile up into crazy beast is also good when they try to raigeki your board, also does clean up on field spells any backrow. The best supplementary engine is Horus, full armor into Lancelot is funny. Sequence it right and you can full armor into Ashura king and otk for game when you attach xyz armor. Once you learn the sequencing you will have the time of your life, trust me.
Was hoping I could get lucky with Tenpai but literally the only UR I got a playset of was Gabonga. (Hell, it and Flood were the only ones I got more than *ONE* of.) But at least it gave me a reason to use the Tour Guide playset that was rotting in my collection doing nothing. Especially since I pulled a *ROYAL* of it. 2:53 - I did almost the *EXACT* same thing last night. Right down being the -second- first game trying them and winning in spite of the fuckup. The only difference was that I was trying to summon it off of merciless.
I've faced this deck on ladder exactly once and they Transversered me an Acid Golem that they proceeded to strip of all its materials. That's the only way to play this archetype as far as I'm concerned
you dont need shot outof your hand goblins can ungarnet both the armored xyz engine and ghostrick engine be detaching armor torpedo and alucard with their own effects
I have literally never seen a goblin showcasing where the deck wasn't tripping over itself. If it wasn't dirt cheap, I'd say the deck was a trap otherwise.
10:37 it would be better if he had putted the goblin double summon card in it. with that you can start an combo just with dugg and any goblin in your hand.
@@patrickmunneke8348Not even kinda true. The mix does everything Gold pride does plus everything Goblin does. Plus everything P.u.n.k adds to both decks.
There is no way you have room for a respectable amount of non-engine unless you go over 40 cards with a deck like this, and then you just die to Maxx C because you see your outs less often. I love PUNK and Gold Pride, but it gets progressively worse into Maxx C as you throw more engines onto the pile. PUNK especially sucks into it, I hate this stupid roach man
Good to know from that horrible Kash Barrone control duel that Goblin really suck if their Normal Summon got stopped. If they ever became top tier, I know when to Solemn them now.
@pvpineapple3825 I can't argue with that, in the case of not having a LP difference it has bricked. I love GP and am trying to make it work, but your extender idea is objectively better.
Why the hell did MBT use Imperm on the Baronne that had already spent it's negate instead of setting it for next turn to stop her pop to try to get out of the turn alive in the Kash game?
This deck is not that complicated, I understand the reason to play ghostrick package but to be fair that package sucks, also you can play a link version as well since compared to other xyz decks this one does not lock you at all
Funny is if you build it right the deck is stronger then you think. Also you you don't want to be a xyz player against the deck either as they can just detach your materials as well. I used the deck and ran against a rank 7 spam deck and really you can win against some powerful decks. The way i built my deck it has a high potential to OTK a player.
Goblin Bikers isn´t awful by any means. Yeah it isn´t Meta, but it´s still competent. MBT just had a garbage list. There is no reason to include the Ghost Trick Engine, which requires 5 URS and one Garnet, when you have already access to cheaper Monster Negates like Cicada King ( Legacy Pack Card that most players already have one copy off ), Gossip Shadow ( R Rarity ) and Ashura King ( SR that can also OTK ). You can use these 5 Slots for other Rank 3 XYZ or Link Monsters since Goblin don´t lock you into anything. Not running Grand Bash for an additional Normal Summon ( which would have saved him in that Baronne Match ) not running Crazy Beast for protection and spell/trap removal and not running Grand Pile up to summon Crazy Beast during his opponents turn. He could have also easily replaced Tour Guide with an Terrortop Engine, which would have given him access to his plays without using up his normal summon )
