God and Money: The Secret World of Aga Khan - Episode 8 

I was practicing Ismailism for the last 32 years of my life, but last year I reverted back to ISLAM. The concept of Ismailism was never cleared in my mind because of restrictions of questioning as u explained. We use to recite “Surah Fatiha” in the first part of dua and “Surah Ikhlaas” in the last part of dua. In the first part (Fatiha) it is clearly mentioned that we say “We worship Allah only, and we seek help from Allah only” then how can dodge our faith by Worshipping Imam and seeking help from Imam. In the last part (Ikhlaas), which reveals the One-ness of Allah Almighty, in which it is clearly mentioned that “There is One God, God is independent, God never give birth nor He is born by anyone, There is no one like Him”, and then we say that Imam is Allah, he depends on our Income which is generated in JK’s, We know the names of Imam’s Parents, we also know the names of their children, and there are many other people like Him in other fiqqah of Islam to whom they call (Baba, Peer, Murshad, Sarkaar etc.) Ismaili always claim that like there is Zakaat in Islam so we do have Dasond likewise. But still there is a difference. Zakat is to be paid to poor people, and Dasond is for Imam. Prophet (S.A.W) never ordered Muslims to pay the zakat to Him or His Ahl-e-Bait, but here its a different story. Even there is a difference in the rates also like 2.5% and 12.5%. One more thing, u can ask question that where is zakat going, but u can never ask any question abt dasond. Its an Ismaili belief that asking question about dasond or Imam is a sin/crime. Because they dont have answers for that. I remember, Once I questioned my Mother that where does Dasond go? “Dont ask questions about it, it is the Money of mowla and it is fire if u dont pay, it will burn you.” She replied. I just wanted to say the Keep it up, whatever you are doing is opening many eyes. The information you are giving with references are reasonable. The internal family life style of Aga Khan Family was never discussed in JK or any other institutions of Ismailies. Its all he game of blind faith. If i can help by any mean, I will be thankful. Salmi Bhaigreat job I was an Ismaili until five year ago I had an revelation from Allah subhantallah I’m a Muslim know I’m so blessed but I’m worried for the people who are blindly faithful to agakhan you forgot to mention that Ismailis don’t have to even do wadu to pray they don’t even have water in the bathrooms women and men just go use the restroom and wash there hands and leave I ask the volunteers about not having water in the bathroom they said because the kids play with water so they took out the Muslim shower and no lotas either how discussed y use tissues and go inside the jk and do dua the dua still has some surahs from the holy Quran please keep up the good work I hope lots of Ismailis watch your videos and may Allah grant them sadbudhi to follow his path AMEEN. 🤲

Salim, it’s a good research, Ismailis Aga khanis should do research on lineage of Aga khan, as you mentioned on one of your episodes, and history witnesses that Aga khan is not a lineage of Prophet muhammad SAW, in Islam or any religion adultery is considered sin. People should understand. Keep it up, it’s a good cause Allah bless you and protect you.

Admire your courage as well as guts to share such information,which is logically presented without shifting out of the truth.Any organisation that is shrouded in secrecy will get abused as the human nature is so. I probably wait to see what happens once current so called Spiritual leader passes on. True spirituality grows if truth is exposed or questioned. What is however amazing and worthy to note that the various AK institutions have grown immensely and broadely to serve many societies which is highly beneficial to not just the Esmaili community but also admirable feat emerging out of nothing in less than 60 years !

The only difference between Aly Khan and Karim Shah is that Karim Shah cares about his image to some extent and therefore hides his numerous affairs. But, in case of both of Karim Shah's divorces was due to adultery, as given the reason by both his ex wives. Apparently, the moment these Western women the Aga Khan marries, and accept an Islamic name, all Ismailis rush to name their children Salimah, Inaara. And then these women divorce and leave, and the poor Ismailis are left with their name for the rest of their lives. 😊

Imams Try to bring Muslims and Christian or other religion together which say in the quran "I have created different religions to learn from one another" if you can't understand that then you are deaf and dumb and blind. Don't think too much just do your part or what ever is your believe follow that don't judge other religion. You basically bringing hate then love.

میرے دیوبندی بھائی اگر آپ لوگوں کواپنے مسلک میں آنے کی دعوت دے رہیں ہیں۔ تو بہتر طریقہ کار یہ ہوتا ھے کے آپ جن پر تبلیغ کر رھے ھیں اُن کو اُنہیں کی خامیاں بتانے کی بجائے آپ اپنی خوبیاں بتاؤ۔اور یہ بات بھی یاد رکھیں کہ لوگوں کو اس بات سے غرض نہیں کے آپ پانچ وقت کی نماز پڑھتے ہو روزہ رکھتے ھو یا حج کرتے ہو بلکہ اُن کو آپ کے معاملات سے غرض ھے جو صفر ہیں۔ میری ساری زندگی آپ جی مسلک کے حضرات کے درمیان گزری ھے۔میں خالق کو حاضر ناظر جان کر کہتا هوں دُنیا کی 99 فیصد لوگوں کی طرح آپ کا مسلک جیسے اپنی ظاہری عبادات پر بڑا فخر ھے ہر اُس بندے کو اؤلیل آمر مانتے ہیں جن سے ان کو معمولی سے فائدے کی اُمید ہو، چغل خوری ان کے نزدیک حلال ہے سود حلال ہے یعنی اپنا اپنا اسلام جہاں فائدہ دیکھا اُس کے مطابق آیت یا حدیث پیش کر دی۔ ظاہری عبادات ان پر بلکل اثر نہیں کر رہیں ایسا لگتا ہے وہ فارسی والی نماز تو پڑھ رہے ہیں لیکن عربی والی صلوۃ نہیں۔کسی بزرگ کا فرمانا ہے نماز کی دو صورتیں ہیں نماز صورت اور نماز حقیقت اگر کوئی شخص ساری زندگی نماز صورت پڑھتا رھے بخشیں کی اُمید نہ رکھے البتہ اگر ساری زندگی میں صرف دو رکعت نماز حقیقت میسر آ جائے تو بخشیں کی اُمید ہے ہم دیکھتے ہیں منافق بھی نماز پڑھتے ہیں جاسوس حضرات تو امام مسجد کا روپ دھار کر سالوں ظاہری عبادات کرتے ہیں مرزائی جن کو امت مسلمہ نے اسلام سے خارج قرار دیا ہے اُن جیسی ظاہری عبادت دوسرے کسی اسلامی مسلک میں نظر نہیں آتیں قرآن میں ارشاد ہلاکت ہے اُن نمازیوں کے لئے جو اپنی نمازوں سے غافل ہیں یعنی نماز حقیقت سے غافل ہیں۔یعنی نماز صورت پڑھنے والوں کے لئے وارننگ ھے جو بظاھر تو نماز پڑھتے ہیں ۔اور ساتھ ساتھ ابلیس کی مکمل پیروی بھی کرتے ہیں۔زنا ، جھوٹ، سود خوری اور وعدہ خلافی تو اس دل و جان سے کرتے ہیں جیسے ان حرام کاموں کی ان کو خصوصی اجازت ہو یا آپ لوگ سمجھتے ہو کہ ظاہری عبادت سے یہ کبیرہ گناہ معاف ہو جاتے ہوں۔ان کے ان ہی کرتوتوں کی وجہ سے پوری عالم انسانیت مسلمانوں سے نفرت کرتی ہے۔ قرآن میں ہے بیشک نماز برائیوں سے روکتی ھے اگر کوئی شخص نماز پڑھتا ہے اور ساتھ ساتھ بِ حیائی کے کام بھی کرتا ہے تو وہ اس بات کا یقین کر لے کہ وہ نماز صورت پڑھ رہا ھے میں یھاں ایک واقعہ بیان کرنا چاہوں گا تقریباً سات سال قبل ہم موجودہ علاقے میں منتقل ہوئے ہمارا ایک پڑوسی تھا پتہ چلا کے یہ سابقہ اسماعیلی ھے وہ جب نماز سے کبھی لیٹ ہو جاتا تو بھاگ کر جلدی مسجد جاتا تاکہ نماز سے رہ نہ جائے۔ اُس کے پاس دو گاڑیاں تھیں ایک گیراج میں کھڑی کرتا اور دوسری Fx بہت پرانی گاڑی جو اکثر شوقیہ حضرات رکھتے ہیں تھی جو گلی میں کھڑی رہتی تقریبا تیں سال بعد مجھے پتہ چلا کے یہ گاڑی اُس نے صرف خلق خُدا کو تنگ کرنے کے لیے اُس نے رکھی ہوئی ہے تاکہ بچے گلی میں نہ کھیل سکیں اور پڑوسی اُس کے گھر کے سامنے والی جگہ کو اپنی گاڑی کھڑی کرنے کے لئے استعمال نہ کر سکیں۔ آپ خود فیصلہ کریں کیا ایسے شخص کو کسی مسلک کو اختیار کرنے سے پہلے انسان بننے کے زیادہ ضرورت نہیں لیکن آپ لوگوں کے نزدیک ظاہری عبادت کو باطنی عبادت سے زیادہ اہمیت حاصل ہے میرا مشورہ ہے ہے کہ آپ پہلے اپنے لوگوں کی اخلاقی تربیت کریں اُس کے بعد دوسروں کو تبلیغ کریں اور یہ بھی پتہ چلا کہ کچھ عرصہ قبل اِسے قرضے کی ضرورت پڑی تھی جو جماعت خانے سے اِسے نہیں مل سکا لہذا موصوف نے اسماعیلی مسلک چھوڑ دیا ۔ تو میرے بھائی بہنوں یہ نفرت پھیلانے ( دین ملا فساد فی سبیل اللہ ) کی بجائے لوگوں میں آسانیاں بانٹیں آجکل کے دور میں جب ایک کلک کرنے سے کسی بھی مسلک کے نظریات کو پڑھا جاسکتا ہے جو طریقہ آپ نے اپنایا ہوا ہے وہ صرف نفرتیں پھیلائے گا ۔ اور لگتا ایسا ہی ہے کے۔ آپ کا مقصد بھی کچھ ایسا ہی ہے ۔ میں یہاں یہ بات واضع کر دوں کہ میں اسمعیلی نہیں ہوں البتہ میں اس بات کو مانتا ہوں کے علوم دو ہیں ظاہری اور باطنی اور یہ کہ باطنی علم صرف اہل دل کو نصیب ہوتا ہے۔ جس طرح ظاہری علم کو صاف کاغذ کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے اُسی طرح باطنی علم کو صاف دل کے ضرورت ہوتی ہے جو آج کے دور میں تقریباً ناپید ہے محترم یہ صدی علم کی ھے۔ اس دور میں لال مسجد کے مولوی عبدالعزیز سوفوں کو یہ کہہ کر جلانے والی سوچ کہ صوفے پغمبر اسلام کے دور میں نہیں تھے کیونکہ انہوں نے صوفے استعمال نہیں کئے تو ہم بھی استعمال نہیں کریں گے والی فرسودہ سوچ چلے گی اس ظاہری مولوی سے کوئی پوچھے کہ پغمبر اسلام نے صوفے تو استعمال نہیں کئے لیکن کیا انہوں نے وی موبائل استعمال کیا تھا جس سے تم لوگوں نے مووی بنائی یا تمھاری طرح لینڈ کروزر استعمال کی یقیناً نہیں استعمال کی لیکن ابلیسی سوچ انسانیت کی خدمت کو کیونکر برداشت کر سکتی ہے اُسے تی ہر حال میں انسانیت کی تذلیل کرنی ہے تاکہ اُنہیں ہر دور میں غلام اور لونڈیاں میسر رہیں ۔ لیکن علم کو جو میرے خالق کا نور ھے اُسے نہ تو کوئی بھجھا سکتا ہے اور نہ کوئی نیچا دیکھا سکتا ہے ہمیں۔ اب وہ وقت آ چکا ہے کے جب اہل علم کو طریقت، حقیقت، اور معرفت کے میدان میں اترنا لازم ہوچکا ھے ۔ جو لوگ باطنی علم کے انکاری ہے اُن کو حضرت موسیٰ اور حضرت خضر کے واقعہ میں غور و فکر کرنے کی ضرورت ھے۔۔ الواعظ مظفر نہال باطنیہ مظفريه

What a coincidence! The most infamous playboy of my country (Bangladesh) belonged to the tiny Ismaili community we have. He was also an underworld kingpin. Once he had a fight over a woman with our the then Military chief, who after a coup d'état became the president. This playboy number 2 put the number 1 in jail. Did I register it right that ismaili imams had abrogated Islamic Shari'a many centuries ago in which case it would seem like ismailis had said goodbye to Islam. So it appears to my simple mind devoid of the Islamic scholarship. This aspect of the ismaili "Islam" may not be known to the scholars of the mainstream Islamic scholarship. What do you say? Imam has nothing to do with what his brothers,or any relatives are doing.....Hazrat Nooh was a messenger but his son was not believer...most of the muslims believe that father of Hazrat Ali was not even Muslim,he didnt accept prophet as messanger of God.Abu lahab was relative of Prophet (pbu) but he died as non believer...so if someone is not an Imam then he is prone to any sins just like other human beings,so the story you told today ,could be right but has nothing to do with Imamat....

How do average Ismailis reconcile the vast differences they have with the majority of the Islamic world? What do they see non Ismaili Muslims as?! Do they believe Sunnis or 12'er shias are wrong?

Aga khan was a genius and a game changer for sure and after reading about the excommunication of mureeds and be expelled for questioning the imam or going against him. Ali lived the life of a Casanova and a play boy but I feel pity his early life when he missed the constant presence of his father. Thank you for the video. To all the Ismailis, followers or not following just watch these videos with an open mind and believe that freedom of speech is everyone's right and you cannot take away only because your views are not in agreement with each other.

میرے دیوبندی بھائی اگر آپ لوگوں کواپنے مسلک میں آنے کی دعوت دے رہیں ہیں۔ تو بہتر طریقہ کار یہ ہوتا ھے کے آپ جن پر تبلیغ کر رھے ھیں اُن کو اُنہیں کی خامیاں بتانے کی بجائے آپ اپنی خوبیاں بتاؤ۔اور یہ بات بھی یاد رکھیں کہ لوگوں کو اس بات سے غرض نہیں کے آپ پانچ وقت کی نماز پڑھتے ہو روزہ رکھتے ھو یا حج کرتے ہو بلکہ اُن کو آپ کے معاملات سے غرض ھے جو صفر ہیں۔ میری ساری زندگی آپ جی مسلک کے حضرات کے درمیان گزری ھے۔میں خالق کو حاضر ناظر جان کر کہتا هوں دُنیا کی 99 فیصد لوگوں کی طرح آپ کا مسلک جیسے اپنی ظاہری عبادات پر بڑا فخر ھے ہر اُس بندے کو اؤلیل آمر مانتے ہیں جن سے ان کو معمولی سے فائدے کی اُمید ہو، چغل خوری ان کے نزدیک حلال ہے سود حلال ہے یعنی اپنا اپنا اسلام جہاں فائدہ دیکھا اُس کے مطابق آیت یا حدیث پیش کر دی۔ ظاہری عبادات ان پر بلکل اثر نہیں کر رہیں ایسا لگتا ہے وہ فارسی والی نماز تو پڑھ رہے ہیں لیکن عربی والی صلوۃ نہیں۔کسی بزرگ کا فرمانا ہے نماز کی دو صورتیں ہیں نماز صورت اور نماز حقیقت اگر کوئی شخص ساری زندگی نماز صورت پڑھتا رھے بخشیں کی اُمید نہ رکھے البتہ اگر ساری زندگی میں صرف دو رکعت نماز حقیقت میسر آ جائے تو بخشیں کی اُمید ہے ہم دیکھتے ہیں منافق بھی نماز پڑھتے ہیں جاسوس حضرات تو امام مسجد کا روپ دھار کر سالوں ظاہری عبادات کرتے ہیں مرزائی جن کو امت مسلمہ نے اسلام سے خارج قرار دیا ہے اُن جیسی ظاہری عبادت دوسرے کسی اسلامی مسلک میں نظر نہیں آتیں قرآن میں ارشاد ہلاکت ہے اُن نمازیوں کے لئے جو اپنی نمازوں سے غافل ہیں یعنی نماز حقیقت سے غافل ہیں۔یعنی نماز صورت پڑھنے والوں کے لئے وارننگ ھے جو بظاھر تو نماز پڑھتے ہیں ۔اور ساتھ ساتھ ابلیس کی مکمل پیروی بھی کرتے ہیں۔زنا ، جھوٹ، سود خوری اور وعدہ خلافی تو اس دل و جان سے کرتے ہیں جیسے ان حرام کاموں کی ان کو خصوصی اجازت ہو یا آپ لوگ سمجھتے ہو کہ ظاہری عبادت سے یہ کبیرہ گناہ معاف ہو جاتے ہوں۔ان کے ان ہی کرتوتوں کی وجہ سے پوری عالم انسانیت مسلمانوں سے نفرت کرتی ہے۔ قرآن میں ہے بیشک نماز برائیوں سے روکتی ھے اگر کوئی شخص نماز پڑھتا ہے اور ساتھ ساتھ بِ حیائی کے کام بھی کرتا ہے تو وہ اس بات کا یقین کر لے کہ وہ نماز صورت پڑھ رہا ھے میں یھاں ایک واقعہ بیان کرنا چاہوں گا تقریباً سات سال قبل ہم موجودہ علاقے میں منتقل ہوئے ہمارا ایک پڑوسی تھا پتہ چلا کے یہ سابقہ اسماعیلی ھے وہ جب نماز سے کبھی لیٹ ہو جاتا تو بھاگ کر جلدی مسجد جاتا تاکہ نماز سے رہ نہ جائے۔ اُس کے پاس دو گاڑیاں تھیں ایک گیراج میں کھڑی کرتا اور دوسری Fx بہت پرانی گاڑی جو اکثر شوقیہ حضرات رکھتے ہیں تھی جو گلی میں کھڑی رہتی تقریبا تیں سال بعد مجھے پتہ چلا کے یہ گاڑی اُس نے صرف خلق خُدا کو تنگ کرنے کے لیے اُس نے رکھی ہوئی ہے تاکہ بچے گلی میں نہ کھیل سکیں اور پڑوسی اُس کے گھر کے سامنے والی جگہ کو اپنی گاڑی کھڑی کرنے کے لئے استعمال نہ کر سکیں۔ آپ خود فیصلہ کریں کیا ایسے شخص کو کسی مسلک کو اختیار کرنے سے پہلے انسان بننے کے زیادہ ضرورت نہیں لیکن آپ لوگوں کے نزدیک ظاہری عبادت کو باطنی عبادت سے زیادہ اہمیت حاصل ہے میرا مشورہ ہے ہے کہ آپ پہلے اپنے لوگوں کی اخلاقی تربیت کریں اُس کے بعد دوسروں کو تبلیغ کریں اور یہ بھی پتہ چلا کہ کچھ عرصہ قبل اِسے قرضے کی ضرورت پڑی تھی جو جماعت خانے سے اِسے نہیں مل سکا لہذا موصوف نے اسماعیلی مسلک چھوڑ دیا ۔ تو میرے بھائی بہنوں یہ نفرت پھیلانے ( دین ملا فساد فی سبیل اللہ ) کی بجائے لوگوں میں آسانیاں بانٹیں آجکل کے دور میں جب ایک کلک کرنے سے کسی بھی مسلک کے نظریات کو پڑھا جاسکتا ہے جو طریقہ آپ نے اپنایا ہوا ہے وہ صرف نفرتیں پھیلائے گا ۔ اور لگتا ایسا ہی ہے کے۔ آپ کا مقصد بھی کچھ ایسا ہی ہے ۔ میں یہاں یہ بات واضع کر دوں کہ میں اسمعیلی نہیں ہوں البتہ میں اس بات کو مانتا ہوں کے علوم دو ہیں ظاہری اور باطنی اور یہ کہ باطنی علم صرف اہل دل کو نصیب ہوتا ہے۔ جس طرح ظاہری علم کو صاف کاغذ کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے اُسی طرح باطنی علم کو صاف دل کے ضرورت ہوتی ہے جو آج کے دور میں تقریباً ناپید ہے محترم یہ صدی علم کی ھے۔ اس دور میں لال مسجد کے مولوی عبدالعزیز سوفوں کو یہ کہہ کر جلانے والی سوچ کہ صوفے پغمبر اسلام کے دور میں نہیں تھے کیونکہ انہوں نے صوفے استعمال نہیں کئے تو ہم بھی استعمال نہیں کریں گے والی فرسودہ سوچ چلے گی اس ظاہری مولوی سے کوئی پوچھے کہ پغمبر اسلام نے صوفے تو استعمال نہیں کئے لیکن کیا انہوں نے وی موبائل استعمال کیا تھا جس سے تم لوگوں نے مووی بنائی یا تمھاری طرح لینڈ کروزر استعمال کی یقیناً نہیں استعمال کی لیکن ابلیسی سوچ انسانیت کی خدمت کو کیونکر برداشت کر سکتی ہے اُسے تی ہر حال میں انسانیت کی تذلیل کرنی ہے تاکہ اُنہیں ہر دور میں غلام اور لونڈیاں میسر رہیں ۔ لیکن علم کو جو میرے خالق کا نور ھے اُسے نہ تو کوئی بھجھا سکتا ہے اور نہ کوئی نیچا دیکھا سکتا ہے ہمیں۔ اب وہ وقت آ چکا ہے کے جب اہل علم کو طریقت، حقیقت، اور معرفت کے میدان میں اترنا لازم ہوچکا ھے ۔ جو لوگ باطنی علم کے انکاری ہے اُن کو حضرت موسیٰ اور حضرت خضر کے واقعہ میں غور و فکر کرنے کی ضرورت ھے۔۔ الواعظ مظفر نہال باطنیہ مظفريه

I personally know few Agha khani and found them very educated, cultured and very socially responsible, but what Mr. Salim trying to express or rather educate in very polite and respectful manner to those educated people to just use a bit of common sense. But, the religion is not follwed by wits but by emotion. I am talking about all religion and that why we have lost the direct connection with God and there always a MAN between Him and us. The God who is Almighty. We don't need emotions to believe in Him, But, for the MAN in between, yes we need. And that the pity.
