Thanks for your reaction and thoughts! From the “current era”, I think the live performance of Under the Sun (which you reacted to) has backing vocals/singing by the other band members, as well. But probably not as noticeable, for lack of a better word. Highasakite has plenty more musical treats. It would also be fun to see some of the other artists you haven’t checked out in a while back on the channel (Sigrid has a whole album you haven’t heard much from, and she also released a Special Edition with acoustic versions of every song). Ina Wroldsen, Sissel, Susanne Sundfør, etc. :)
I love HAAK and this song is hauntingly beautiful. Norway makes such a huge contribution to music that simply passes English-speaking audiences by, which is a huge shame. In the same vein, maybe give Emelie Hollow's «Hvor er du nå» (Where are you now) a listen. Her voice is crystal clear and beautiful, while the song itself was written by Ingrid Helene Håvik from HAAK.
there are a programserie called Hver gang vi møtes(every time we meet) Ingrid is one off 6 others in 2024. she is singing songs of the other artists, its on tv2 norway
I've been fortunate to see them live 3 times (2 times opening for Of Monsters and Men in like 2015 I think, and then this past summer in Norway!). First time I was blown away by her vocals and the atmosphere of the band and every single time after, along with all of the live/acoustic videos I find. Best voice I've ever heard and it's not even close.

Hm. It's not bad I'll grant you that but it doesn't compare with the original band's version from 2016, which featured more inventive synths, female backing vocals in perfect harmony and even Ingrid's vocal was considerably more powerful than this (and yes, I'm talking about live performances). It was also more 'ethereal' than this version. I think you are mixing the vocalist I Highasakite with Anneli Drecker, vocalist in Bel Canto (and solo). She toured with a-ha some years ago. She has a beautiful voice…… Check out Bel canto “shimmering warm and bright”. Take care. Knut, Oslo Norway

Just a heads up....Liliac has just released the 10 song Live@MadLife 2021 Concert.....all ORIGINAL songs, BTW.....You MIGHT be able to select a couple that you have never heard, yet? Song #8 ( Crazy Nights) has Melodia using Yoda's Light Sabre as a Mic Stand.....Looked to be a good show....
