Glad you found the shield dash! Did you know you can also equip aerial and step burst arts? It allows you to change up your aerial and step combos and deal more damage as well. Also, Hugo is not a tank, but actually a support unit. His entire skillset revolves around giving you burst and supporting you. If you give him a healing bullet, he also makes for a good secondary healer with Claire. Ein/Soma is still an amazing tank though. I left him alone with a Regalia Balmung(yes, there are worse variants of Balmung, luckily this one is post game only) for like 5 minutes and he was fine.
@@Jeikage You can always use flash grenades and stun traps to hold them still for a moment, though some aragami are immune. Lulu has good DPS if you put the right skills on her, but she doesn't take the heat off you very well because she has innate stealth skills. Since you also gave Claire stealth skills, when you bring those two with you, you have most of the attention. Have you used the install skill system? You can also give yourself stealth passives if you need to, though it's pointless if the whole team has stealth. I'd also recommend reading the database, as boring as that might seem. It has some hidden mechanics on the weapons and things in there, as well as other mechanics that aren't directly explained and some lore. Sorry for the really long comments, I just thought you might be able to use a bit of info. God Eater doesn't really explain mechanics well sometimes.
