Listening to the Sunday eucharist, not in the comfortable surreal otherworldly environment of church. But real and refreshing.A homeless woman tries to hid herself and a supermarket trolley from security, the public pass by inches from her ,but not a glance she is invisible to everyone but security .she probably would wish it were the other way round ,I've seen this in church so many times and the invisible one get up and leave ,and those near by relax and breath a sigh of relief. Its not the same here ,the football fans as they lezve offer their half smoked cigarettes ,an act of kindness. She is grateful. How does she feel, day in day out accepting such kindness. I think and have been there .Just what that does to a Person, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I only see the weak and oppressed those who can't cope .the excluded the lepers of life .And I'm pretty sure god is the same.
