To be fair, athena clarified to kratos that olympus and zeus are one and the same. If one is destroyed, then so is the other. Kratos went along with it and said fuck it.

@@superboyx2837Nahh, even Mimir stated that the Greek Gods had magic abilities that their gods couldn’t wield. Freya stating that their fates couldn’t control time like the Greeks could. The Norse were just powerful beings, the Greek were quite literally the essence of whatever they ruled.

Athena’s Greed tricked him to get it thinking he would return the favor after getting it all done. She however did not realize that Kratos had a change of heart after spending quite some time with Pandora that he could do more aside from seeking vengeance.

Definitely not. Zeus is stabbed by that blade, I think around nine times in the span of a day or two between GoW2 and 3, and still gets back up, so that blade is clearly not capable of killing him.
