Finally someone gives some love to the combat in God of War. I actually find it more complex and rewarding then the original, where square, square, triangle was pretty much everything you need it to beat the game.
But u can beat gow 2018 with the r1 combos and runic spam tbh. But that's what I love about all the games in the series. U have the choice to go berzerk with incredible combos, and that's what I always do
@@W.M.O. you can, but it would be a challenge. In the og god of war using anything other that that combo was straight up a bad idea most of the time. You cannot beat GMGOW by spamming runic attacks or random combos. I loved the og games, but the combat in the new ones has a deeper layer
Haven't fought final Baldur i'm currently at the Path to Jotunheim quest but i have all the trophies aside from odin birds and jotnar entries(only 1 left) It means i almost beat every challange in the game and all of them on second hardest mode(give me challange) That fight was the only one that i felt the need to lower the difficulty to the easiest.
Thank you very much of showing me the walkthrough on this one now I know what I'm getting myself into happy Sunday to you and yours and I also do support this channel
Waw!
I really wish the game has the feature to relive fights across the realms including valkyries. It makes no sense to get the best armors when there’s nothing but the two farming realms
It is not just about skills anymore... everytime I see sth like this (god of war hardest mode level 1 blablabla), I have to admire what kind of big heart you guys have to try this: that requires courage. Seriously, in such situation, courage might be even more important than simply game skill. Sadly even till today, I still don't get myself adapt to the design of new god of war, especially the camera view. I always find an appropriately bigger camera view is more suitable to me, for example, that of DMC 5 and MHW. I really hope that the next Norse God of war can do some improvement regarding to these; however the possibility of this has grown thinner and thinner day by day after more and more award and praise the new God of war has got. Sure it is not perfect, but the sale number and comments nearly make it so, and I doubt that SM studio are willing to pay attention to these "minor" issue, such as camera view, given the current game has already been this level of successful, even if they know its flaw ------- if not changing and changing the current design would lead to the same good result (same big sale number, same good praise, etc), why bother it? Back to the Chinese social media that I frequently use, I try to create some topic like this to discuss, but sadly all the replies I can get is sth like "new god of war is perfect and flawless, are you blind? Can these problems be seen as problems?", "old slags eat shit", "what kind of nonsense are you talking about?", etc. I used to try to talk some sense into these responsers, but eventually I give up ----- just feeling too tired to fully explain what I was talking about. P.S. I watched the gameplay of resident evil 2 (or biohazard 2) remake serveral days ago, and personally found it to be great... only realized later that resident evil 2 remake is using exactly the same camera view that new god of war is using. All of a sudden, I lost my words.
I somewhat agree with the camera view opinion. But you have to admit how well the enemy off screen indicator and Atreus yelling "behind you!" made the camera view a lot more bearable. Yeah you have a right to say it isn't perfect; it isn't. Lets not forgot about how difficult it must have been to take a step away from the traditional style of the game and create a new game engine from scratch to support this decision. With the first installment out of the way, they have set a solid foundation to work with for next game. I don't doubt they will look at the camera and increase fov or even make it adjustable like DMC5. It's annoying how people can blindly follow/support something and not accept criticism... don't worry about them. I think RE2 wanted to achieve 3rd person view that acted as personal as 1st person to match the setting of the game. This is a good example for a low fov 3rd person camera, gow isn't. Thanks for commenting :D
@@SmvR Just hope SM studio has enough motivation to keep improving... after all, the new god of war has gained so much high praise already. RE2 is a really good example indeed; it's the perfect demonstration of how to use a low fov over shoulder camera. Such camera should be used with a game emphasizing shooting, horror and survival like RE2 remake, not one focusing on close combat and 1 vs many/large monster like the new god of war. I do realize how hard it is to make the game from zero, but still I wish that it can keep improving itself instead of sinking in current glory. And it would be absolutely fine if the new god of war can combine more of old god of war's good part (gameplay wise); after all it is the official sequel of the god of war franchise.
@@TerWinchesterReal Yeah, guess it's impossible to one vs the whole game market. I just hope that SM studio knows what god of war can still improve, and the whole meaningless conflict of new and old god of war fans shitting on each other can stop. There are lots of ways to improve, but I do suggest that make the camera adjustable and provide an alternative camera with high fov can efficiently solve many problems.
BRUH LEVEL FUCKING 1 😳😳🤦🏽♂️😳😳 You sir are a god among men with the way you handle this game! Remember watching your videos ages ago and was just been blown away and impressed..🙂 You and GBG are the best by far I’ve seen when it comes to this classic game! Big respect ✊🏾 my brother 🙏🏾
I don't know but watching this is so relaxing and give me a reason to finish this gem another time. Thanks buddy PD: at min 5:19 there is a cut, something happen?
Hey Mr S...can you do a vid about which skill you must get first to do those epic combo's in your other vids?...btw...is the build you use the same build from your walkthrough and your ng+ walkthrough?
I've done the valkyrie queen NG+ GOW no damage and it doesn't even come close to completing even 1 of these relm tears at this difficulty let alone zero damage. This man is the only true God of War
I can't be sure if it's been sped up slightly or not. Maybe its just that you're on a PS4 pro and the occasional frame drops on the base version make me look slower. That or I'm just not as good as you lol
@@SmvR All of the combat was impressive but getting out of the maze to refill the timer was brilliant. As to which games to play next: Look at the different game mechanics you could try to perfect. Arkham Asylum etc would be a similar approach and skill set but I think those combat styles might be too similar to GOW. May I suggest you have a look at the channel "Rabbit's Respawn" to get inspiration. Keep doing what you're doing!
