@@LolaOpheliac it's a LOT harder than it seems. Cory rehearsed that demo for a MONTH. There's a reason it had never been done before...and hasn't been done since then.
@A M maybe winter 2021 or at most early 2022 but either way I'm already hyped so doesn't matter when they come out now we know Ragnarok it's gonna happen
Lol cory barlog is the man! You can just see the passion that he has for this. When the fans reacted when kratos came out of the shadows, it put a big smile on his face. Then when the gameplay happened at 8:40 he looks at the camera and throws a punch at it. It just gives me so much confidence that this game is going to be amazing man.
Here we are... 2 and a half years later. The game was launched and took home many awards from various publications. 2 and a half years later and this reveal still gives me chills.
Sony E3 2016 will be on I never forget. - God Of War Announcement - Days Gone Announcement - The Last Guardian Release Date - Horizon Zero Dawn Demo - Detroit Become Human Game-play - RE7 Announcement - PSVR Release Date - Crash 1,2,3 Remakes Coming Next Year - Hideo Kojima New Game : Death Stranding - Spiderman Announcement Wow i am beyond glad I am part of Playstation Nation!
So much hype after that music intro! Love how the new God of War looks, really hope this one will have a great story next to the awesome combat of course. Sure looks like it :)
Unbelievable. The trailer that wowed us with graphics, combat and narrative but the final product was even an improvement on that. Being amazed by a trailer but being even more amazed by the final product does only happen very very often.
I literally have tears watching people reacting this way to the gameplay. And I am just a gamer and not in anway helped create the game. I can only imagine how Cory Barlog and his team must have felt watching the fans react this way to their project and hard work. This is amazing! Kudos to Santa Monica and Thank you!
The Gameplay is being accompanied by the LIVE ORCHESTRA . they went out of their way to make this as atmospheric as possible , by removing the music in game and playing it THEMSELVES . it shows the DEDICATION they put into the game and the REVEAL !
This game was EPIC. After finishing it, I can say without a doubt that this game is 100000000/10 Stars. I’m depressed that it’s over now, what a game, wow!
The game that singlehandedly killed Xbox one, the game that singlehandedly save E3 2016..... Well not this game alone but Sony in general saved E3 2016
Eh, I was very underwhelmed by Breath of the Wild to be honest. Like, it kind of looks cool, but it offers nothing new. And despite the fact that it's "open world," the world looks and feels dead and just looks... honestly rather boring. I hope that this changed when the final game releases but as it stands, Breath of Wild does not look as good as everyone makes it out to be.
The conference was meh imo. Wasn't interested in any of the new games shown off. But the new gameplay of Horizon that was shown did get me hyped for the game.
gamerprince1999 Knew someone was gonna bring that up. The thing is if that's really true, it's a really stupid excuse. "Oh no, spoiler warning: The game is gonna have NPC's!"
Watching this in 2020 (May). Maybe the best presentation of a game ever. My wife told me that she remember me crying and jumping watching at this hahahahahaha 3 years of this... Incredible!
Man,I've never been so excited to play a God of War game since God of War 3. This new God of War is amazing! The intro music is as excellent as "Vengeful Spartan",which is a classic.
The fact that these people have NO IDEA what they are seeing or listening to is amazing. They know its epic. They know it sounds amazing. They just have NO CLUE. But when Kratos stepped out into the light and revealed himself the roof probably felt like it was going to blow off of that building. To see a man who we have ALL emulated. We have all dreamed of being that strong. And we all thought we wouldn't see anything like this. To see him step out, it was amazing. And no disrespect to TC but Christopher Judge is now forever Kratos to me. Edit: And to see Bear having so much fun and having the pride and surprise in his face is also heart warming.
Just finished the main story, but there's a huge amount still to explore and achieve. Such an amazing game :)...and as the video is playing, just saw the full relevance of Kratos saying 'do not be sorry; be better'. Amazing.
@jeffery cody "Don't count your chickens until they've hatched". My friend Console generations have always been fickle, time will tell if Sony can fend off what the Changes that Msoft is putting up and remain King a. GamePass, Xcloud, Multi Billion dollar studio Aquisitions and "theoretically" the more powerfull console. Sony and Consumers would be foolish not to watch and take notes on what's going on around them.
@jimmh hynes Yes Sony has definitely dominated the 8th generation of Consoles, After a early struggling 7th gen. Where Microsoft had the advantage easily in hand. If not for their bumbling out of the gate for the 8th, what I'm trying to say is that the general console consumer has no loyalties and if they think the pastures are greener elsewhere they'll shift. Where do you think that Extra 30/40 million Ps4 owners came from (+-brand new gamers). They had to be 360 gamers who Transitioned over. My point being with Microsoft steadily improving you shouldn't count them out until the very end. Because unlike other Console manufacturers that have failed and gone Microsoft has the money and influence to do much more they just need to execute and follow through so you shouldn't count them out.
@Kanishk Singh A fan no just someone who is fond of Computer/Video Games and remembers playing Joust on the Atari as young kid in the 80s and sees Video Gaming objectively. I have more history with Sony and Nintendo products as whole but mostly really enjoy watching the evolution and advancement of the medium into the future.
If the Director Cory Barlog ever had problems to motivate his crew to work as hard as they can on that project ... I bet he just showed this Video of crowd reactions to them and they didn´t need anymore motivation for that!
I remember perfectly this moment and that E3, I had no idea what was coming at that time, it took me by surprise and although they announced it that year it took 2 more to come out, but it is my favorite saga by far, GOW is the best game that it Played since PS2, I love that game, I cried when it was introduced at E3.
Who are watching this again today? I can still feel the goosebumps when Kratos came out! Still can't believe finally I am playing on the game right now! I also noted that there''re some adjustments in the final release comparing to the e3 2016 trailer back then.. Superb from Sony Santa Monica!
I've lost count of how many times i have watched this reveal over the 6 years and i still get goosebumps. Santa monica delivered a masterpiece. Twice. What game studios these days can say that?
The change of camera made the troll look gigantic, even if it was technically about the size of a cyclops in the other games. The scale is going to be even more overwhelming now. And for those who are new to God of War- that troll wasn't a boss. Oh, no. Prepare to have your minds blown.
I could watch this video thousands and thousands of times and still I couldnt be able to hold back the tears of joy and goosbumps I get from seeing Kratos reveal himself and the crowds reaction, and u can clearly see Cody Barlog's happiness a soon as the crowd goes insane and starts cheering Kratos. It makes me soo happy.
man oh man this is still one of my absolute best gamer/gaming memories of all time. More often than not, these conferences are definitely over hyped but I was cheering so loudly during this event, man oh man
