Complete, and great, subversion from the last game. If I interpret it correctly, Atreus already knows that Kratos loves him, and he's seen the lengths Kratos has gone to in a vain hope of protecting him from his heritage. He's not a kid anymore, he knows that sometimes action is necessary, and that you have to get your hands dirty sooner or later. Sometimes there's no room for mercy. So now that he's trying to push Kratos towards more of the same kind of decisive thinking he already showed, we see Kratos still has some reservations. It remains to be seen exactly what about.
I hope this game delivers on the excellent storytelling and character building of the last, just with a new theme as Kratos and Atreus are quite close now
@@manuelmateo3392 It also shows Atreus' naivete. Kratos' defiant dismissal of the suggestion shows that he still feels terrible about wreaking havoc and destroying the Greek Pantheon. Scene also shows that Atreus is still unaware to the true ferocity of his own father, may he learn in Ragnarok.
If only Atreus understood that him being a War General is the reason why his sister’s ashes are fastened to his fathers skin. That man lost his soul behind War.
@@danielfrankiensimanjuntak4310 Kratos isn't old, the man is immortal. He hasn't even aged in his face, he just grew a beard. Kratos is just as much if not more capable than he was during the twilight of the gods in Olympus. He is CONSCIOUSLY choosing to hold back and not use his full power. The second he does, he absolutely wrecks the Norse pantheon with ease without breaking a sweat, which is what shocked Modi and Baldur both.
@@2Good2BeTrue45 No, if we look closely his wrinkle is showing up and he himself said. They should continue the journey, when he still have the strenght to do so. It mean that he himself is not as strong as before (in my opinion).
That the point, he lost everything cause he DID stop thinking like father, only as a general and anger, cause that, he lost EVERYTHING , something he don't want his son to do
@@TrumpFTW2024 yep war he kill all Greek gods so he need peace not war. he went Norse to get peace but Blader came ruin kratos peace life now he start war on asgard
You will instead see a thunderstorm over him. Aggressive, unflinching and devastating, before I end his pitiful suffering with a swift smiting from Mjölnir. ⚡😡⚡
A decade ago, I would've laughed at the idea of imagining Kratos as the calm, reasonable guy pushing for peace. Yet here we are... The man's truly come a long way.
Atreus: Maybe we should fight gods Kratos: No. We'll never fight gods. Actually, I will kill all gods just to make extra sure we don't have to fight them.
This game is the best by far, the whole GOW franchise is just amazing. Once Tyr stood up it really hit me, I felt so hyped. In my eyes, GOW is the best game franchise overall.
GOW as a franchise is definitely top 5 and it's not 5. But honestly can't look past legend of Zelda series, and even something as simple as the grand theft auto series.
AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! PAAAAAIIIINNNN!!!!!! I broke my hand yesterday because of the hate comments I get all the time. I was so angry that I punched a hole in my computer. Please don't hate me, dear jo
Slow down bud Not that I don't agree for the moment but there's still years before the next generation So I wouldn't proclaim that yet could be something even better down the line
Also, when he brings in the deer, the antlers of the deer are positioned right above Atreus’s head, thus creating a silhouette that awfully resembles the modern-day depiction of Loki.
I love how there seems to be a lot more enemy variety in this game than in the previous. Previous game was more or less different versions-or elemental variants- of Draug and Helwalkers, with some Trolls, Ogres and a few more oddities thrown into the mix.
I’m just really feeling the graphics - - When Atreus and Kratos get off the boat and you see the barnacles on the village port - everything looks so much more vibrant this time - it’s crazy.
@Kryptoskillet I agree it did sound like that, maybe the comment should’ve been “it’s so wholesome that Kratos decided to keep Mimir around rather than feeding him to wolf” but still wholesome nonetheless 😂
Seeing Kratos go from angry shouty man to giving useful advice and harsh truths about life to Atreus is truly incredible. He has indeed come a long way.
@@AmanKhan-nc5rs That makes no sense. Even in Norse Mythology, Loki is the adopted child of Odin, not biological. They might stick close to mythology with his giant background, but change some of the things for the game.
@@AmanKhan-nc5rs unfortunately that's not true cuz the whole reason behind Loki's sickness was his inner conflict with kratos godly rage inside him. You can see his flames of chaos before he gets really sick when kratos gets the blades of chaos
