So the two wolves are referenced right at the beginning of the first game, but they'd be Skoll and Hati, who chase Sol(the Sun) and her Brother Mani(The Moon) across the sky, and they are children of Fenrir. Was an awesome little touch there.
and its even crazier considering their grandfather is standing right next to them but still a child. Some weird time travel shit goin on and i cant wait
@@moehasan7534 dont forget Jörmungandr said that Atreus seemed familiar. Def cant wait to see how they do that. I wonder if Thor hit Jormungandr so hard he went back in time (doesnt really make sense but ok) or if odin sent him so that Thor doesnt die to him
@@earendilthemariner5546 That's litteraly what happened, Mimir said that the fight between Thor and Jormungandr at the Ragnarok was so violent that they splintered the World Tree, sending Jormungandr back before he was even born.
I assume it is Tyr and not Odin's voice, because the dialogue begins when Tyr is first shown in the trailer. And the dialogue about godhood, I assume it's Tyr too, but some say it's Odin, and I can't tell the whose voice is whose?
I wondering if the other 3 had some technical issues with the internet, like i thought their camera froze judging by the lack reaction they had. But now I understand!
Those two wolfs are called Skol and Hati. One chases the Sun, the other the Moon. When they eats both, then Ragnarok begins. So, Kratos and Atreus are starting Ragnarok, by commanding those Wolfs to go fulfill their destinies.
it's complicated, he lost his godhood in GoW2 but then still kind of stayed a god anyway. In GoW4 he says he was "born a god" which is only half true, and he actually shouldn't be considered a full god at this point anymore as far as I know.
fyi the "kid shooting the moon" is basically in norse myth is the way the ragnarok start, those 2 wolves are skoll and hati and they will chase the sun and moon and once they reached it the ragnarok will start and every norse gods will died
Kratos is Zeus’ son so he was absolutely born a god. And Kratos didn’t just get mad and kill all the gods. His family was murdered by them and he vowed to get vengeance.
Also his mom and brother death and everything that happened when he was young that fully set him off after ghost of Sparta following up to god of war 2 👌🏾
I agree with Erik , if this storyline is kratos and Atreus just causing havoc in the realms and making what should happen in the books and the story not actually happen would be so good hahah , like a marvels what if but a video game in this world l.. I would love to see a kratos vs marvel or doc or the boys universes as a game or a show would be fun as hell playing against thanos and iron man … it’s not serious but would be fun as heck …
Have u seen "sardar udham" Movie???available on Amazon Prime.... If not... Then wat are you waiting for.... I can tell you about this movie.. Dat u can't sleep few nights after watching this movie
Corey has confirmed that this will be the last God Of War game placed in a Norse setting, he did not say this would be the last God Of War game ever. In 2018s God Of War, in Tyrs vault, there is a tapestry that shows Tyr visiting 4 different pantheons, Greek, Egyptian, Shinto Japanese, and Aztec Mexican! This most likely means the next games will probably be placed in Egypt.
@Richard Compton Ikr!! Fun fact, there are war gods in all of the previously named religions. In Egyptian mythology Set is the god of chaos, mischief and war. In Aztec mythology, Huitzilopochtli is the hummingbird god of war and warriors, as well as the god of the sun. And in Shinto mythology they worship a god named Hachiman, a god of war, archery, and agriculture.
@@ShiggyShaggy It is mentioned nowhere that "Ragnarok fates that Kratos will die." It is just a misconception created by that last mural in Jötunheim. Those who have really paid attention know that it was not Kratos but someone else possibly Tyr or Odin.
This was supposed to be a trilogy. They are basically compressing two games into one. Someone did an interview last week and the devs said all the things in the trailer happens in the first 5 hours. Game is supposedly 40 hours, with the total thor fight being an hour. They also said the trailer is nothing compared to what is in the game.
likely will be close, he's the one that explains the Norse Tales to the player. Now that we have Odin, Thor, Tyr, Skol and Hati as actual characters, there's gonna be more stories to tell. In God of War (2018), Mimir tales were mostly arounds the Giants and how their tales were connected to the likes of Odin and Thor but now it will be stories more directed to the Gods themselves. That's my guess at least
Ben Prendergast is Tyr and Richard Schiff is Odin Kratos is carrying Angrboda at 2:36 who is supposed to be Loki's love Also I cant wait to see Thor vs Kratos, and the two recalling weapons!!
Kratos is a blood child of Zeus and a human woman, which makes him a Demi-god from birth. He gained full godhood in God of War 1 when he opened the box. He used that power to kill Ares. Opening that box unleashed the evils into Zeus causing him to want Kratos dead. When Zeus stabs Kratos with the blade of Olympus, this initiates Kratos’ war on Olympus. Any God that got in Kratos’ way of killing Zeus became a victim of his rage (basically every god of Olympus except Aphrodite).
For the wolf chasing the sun : In Norse Mythology, Sköll and Hati are the sons of Fenrir and grandsons of Loki. Sköll and Hati chase the horse-drawn chariots of Sól and Máni, the personified sun and moon respectively, every day and night until they finally catch them, marking the onset of Ragnarök.
I was so excited for them to react to this trailer on the channel, and I completely forgot about the pod. So glad I got to see Eric’s reaction to this!
As soon I heard the Valkyries say pretender god, I just thought of Rick Sanchez saying “I wasn’t born into the god business, I fucking earned it” which I feel represents Kratos pretty well 😂
so in ragnarok the wolf is Fenrir and he will swallow odin and of odin's suns will stab fenrir... Jörmungandr the world serpent is gonna kill thor... i hope that this is gonna be the story in GOD OF WAR
God of War 2018 is actually on PC now, and it's totally possible to play it without having played the previous games (or using the Wiki to fill in parts you want to know about/parts you've missed from the original trilogy of games, including Ghost of Sparta, Ascension etc.) :) Personally I can't wait for this game, I'm so fucking excited. I got the platinum trophy for the 2018 game on both PS4 and on it's re-release of the PC. So exceptionally excited.
Talkin about how he's more dangerous because he has someone to fight for, he always had that, just not especially ALIVE. NOW, he isn't blind rage, he's controlled and thinking. He's a guided missile vs the cannon he used to be. The blind rage was used against him multiple times, he's learned and it was one of the earliest lessons taught to Boy.
Start of Ragnarok Death of Baldur Loki and Angrbody are born of three Extremely harsh winter (Fimbulvinter, three winters without summer), during which the entire Midgard will freeze. People will plunge into wars, looting and violence. All morality will disappear. Only one man and one woman will survive, and they will hide in the branches of the Yggdrasil tree. The course of the circle of life in Scandinavian mythology Edit Two dire wolves - Sköll and Hati - chasing the Sun (Sol) and the Moon (Mani) will finally get their victims. Then the sun and moon will cease to exist, the stars will fall, and the entire sky will be destroyed. Roosters will crash, calling for battle: Fjalar in Jotunheim, Gullinkambi in Asgard, and a rooster the color of rust in Niflheim. Garm, the dog of Hell, barking loudly. At this signal, the bonds that bind Loki and Fenrir will loosen. Loki and Fenrir (the terrible wolf bound by the gods) break free from their bonds and decide to take revenge on the gods. The Midgard Serpent will come out of the water to land, and Loki, along with the giants and other allied monsters, on ships to take revenge on his enemies. Hajmdal (the god-guard of the passage from the mortal world, Midgard, to the world of the gods, Asgard), seeing enemies approaching, will play one last time at the corner of Gjallarhorn, so loud that it will be heard in all nine worlds. Bifrost itself, the Rainbow Bridge, will also collapse under the weight of the giants and monsters walking over it - a crossing between the worlds guarded by Hajmdal, the god of vigilance. Odin will lead his warriors out of Valhalla to take part in the battle. Odin, however, will die when eaten by Fenrir. Widar will avenge him. At the sight of Odin's death, Frigg will cry a second time. Loki and Hajmdal will kill each other. Thor will slay the terrible serpent Jormungand, but he himself will die from its venom. Tyr will die in a duel with Garm, killing him at the same time. All the gods will perish and Loki's army will fight the warriors of Valhalla (warriors called einherjerami) until the very end. Finally, the fiery giant Surtr, ruler of Muspelheim, will set fire to Asgard and the rest of the worlds with his flaming sword of vengeance. Then everything will be destroyed
The 2 wolves are skoll and hati.. its said that when loki shoots his arrow to the sun they are goin to devour both sun and moon and then boom.. ragnarok begins
It'd be awesome if the series went Greeks, Norse, then Egyptian next and then ending with Roman (plus an Atreus game somewhere). To my knowledge, the Roman pantheon was similar to the Greeks in personality but were more fierce and brutal - allowing the series to go full circle for Kratos.
@@erichall090909 yeah i recognized it after I made that comment. Their voices sound similar since they’re very soft and withered, plus being right after one another. I think it’s a very good contrast to how Zues was portrayed. I’m glad it’s not just another deep voice man with a powerful voice like the cliche
Sad to know that this will be the 2nd and last Norse game, such an shame though. Really wish there would be at least 3 Norse games for it to be called a "saga"
You need to play the original trilogy or you have no idea who Kratos actually is. Kratos cared about someone in the past but people who only played the 2018 have no idea about it. Which reduces Kratos character as well because of it.
