It makes no sense that he's upset with Kratos or Atreus. And it makes no sense that Freya would forgive Kratos. And it makes no sense that the studio went woke and decided characters in European culture are too white-so they changed some to black for "duhversihtee"
Ragnarok completely surpassed my expectations; every aspect of this game (gameplay, music, story, acting, etc.) was phenomenal. Eric and his entire team absolutely crushed it!!
This spoilercast actually somehow makes the game even better. Seeing how much detail is in the game and all the reasons for why decisions were made just puts into perspective how much work was put in the game.
the whole series literally starts with him trying to end his own life due to guilt, IGN has never been a great source for video game info, thats why they dont get any where near the views they used to
Really surprised me when he mentioned how hard it is for him to do appearances like this; all the videos I've seen of him talking about this game, he's a really captivating speaker and he keeps your attention constantly.
this game is NOT just a game... it is an EXPERIENCE like no other. the combat, acting and storytelling is some of the best ive seen in years, in not just gaming but storytelling and deep dramas period.
It's so funny that he gave him gold teeth because he read somewhere that Heimdall had gold teeth but it actually in Norse mythology says he was gold-toothed which is an old saying meaning the same thing as "silver-tongued" lol
wish they would’ve had asked him about the raven tree, that was easily the most disturbing thing in the game, the stuff that the ravens said man, odin had no limit to his cruelty
Finding the ravens is much easier your first and future runs through any area with Closed Captions, and the option to show the direction of the sounds on! It's a Raven Radar lol.
@@Caught1nTh3Crossfire “The hammer performs exactly like the ax” Hammers smash….axes cut The hammer wields lightning…the ax wields ice The hammer is incredibly heavy…only a few can lift it…but literally everyone can pick up the ax… Yeah…so similar And miss me with that “the weapon killed all the blah blah and Boy’s family… Kratos wields the same weapons (blades) that he killed his original wife and daughter with… Nah son. Come back with a better retort…
Draupnir Spear beats Odin’s spear in terms of cool factor, imagination, usefulness, and the skill/training of its wielder. Definitely in the top 3 coolest spears ever.
Did anyone else notice- the scene in the beginning with Thor and kratos. The axe and hammer sit opposite of each other on the table. Thor pours wine even tho he doesn’t drink. But the gesture, metaphor. He pours, to test and see if kratos will take it. When he realizes kratos won’t bend , he goes to offer it to ateryus. And then kratos intervenes. This is such foreshadowing.
They should have done a trilogy... The buildup for Ragnarok was so huge and the event was so short. I spent more time picking up fruits with Angrboda than in Ragnarok
The final act starts at the camp and ends at the credits. It's actually quite long. Any longer and people would complain about how they can't get back to the side quests. You only think it's too quick because you only start counting when they go to Asgard.
For me my only major disappointment was the pull back on melee combat with fists. With Lundas set it was the perfect chance to have 2018s melee combat.
When you tell everyone you need to kill Heimdall, Tyr seems mad when they say they stole Draupnir, and blocks Sindri's way, causing him to bump into him.
@@ryanb6614 like RIGHT after they save Tyr and take him to Sindri's house. Sindri asks him if he's hungry and Tyr explains what he wants in detail, even asking "with a pinch of salt". That's being pretty picky for someone that just spent a couple of lifetimes locked away
@@jb0258 the food odin, as tyr, is requesting, is essentially struggle food. He’s being very particular in requesting purposefully bad food to further hit home the fact he’s not as capable as he used to be. Hardtack is literally bread that’s as hard as a brick to help with preservation. It’s not to be especially picky.
It would be awesome if they do one of the next pantheons Japanese, Chinese, Thai, sumarían, Aztec, Olmec, Amazon, Inca. Hopefully they already started to work on the next installment.
ERIIIIIC, PLEASE PLEASE PUT SPARTANS REVENGE (THE L1+X) From Ascension as an armor build for new game plus on Ragnarok. That would be so sick. Y'all please up vote if you're a GOW fan because this move would be so OP
Even if it didn’t become playable, it still would have been sick asf, if they made Kratos at least throw mjolnir at Thor once during one of the fights.
Future game will reveal who it was, it wasn’t Baldur, Jormungandr doesn’t like Aesir so he would’ve attacked & we would’ve felt that battle take place.
Final 3rd of the game felt very underwhelming unfortunately. Maybe covid really impacted dev time. Baldurs boss fights were so much more epic than fighting Thor and Odin in the same 20 meter mud pit in-front of Odins house. ‘Ragnarök’ felt rushed and forced at times.
And there was a lot left unanswered in my opinion. No clue still as to how or why faye died, leaving her marble empty. Tyr was a dud. Hardly met any dieties of the Norse pantheon. The rift and mask turned out to be nothing. Considering this was the end of the Norse saga, it left me pretty unsatisfied.
This series was a great development for Kratos character to not feel dry as he travels into other pantheons, BUT PLEEEEASE BRING BACK THE SWORD OF OLYMPUS ONEDAY! We all wanna see Kratos with his magic back and use the Sword as a Rage option
Based on some comments about Tyr and the movements hes doing when you find him being a hint as to the next games settings, could it be Indian? Kratos vs Kali would be sick
Disagree. It would feel a lot like the axe combat, and glad Kratos finally got a weapon made specifically for him. No emotional baggage on it but what chooses to put on it.
Pat Stares At totally called Tyr being Odin since he saw him at the rescue. And then every time he saw him after that. "Look who conveniently stays in his room all the time" and how he tried to grab the mask from Atreus long before the confrontation.
