God of War Ragnarok - Boss #52 Berserker Soul Svipdagr the Cold & Sisters of Illska Boss Fight (No Damage Taken) on Give Me God of War Difficulty (Max Difficulty / Hardest Difficulty) / How To Beat Svipdagr the Cold & Sisters of Illska Boss Fight No Damage No Hit Guide GMGOW / Svipdagr the Cold & Sisters of Illska Berserker Soul Location. Just a quick video showing this boss from the newly released God of War Ragnarok on GMGOW difficulty, taking no damage. Thanks to PlayStation for providing me with a review copy of this game. Details below.
Surprisingly another very enjoyable fight, despite it being a multiple bosses at once design. The mechanics are done quite well where they spread out attacks, so it keeps it more enjoyable than getting ganked all at once.
I'm completely easing up the self-imposed restrictions of spoilers at this point. I still won't post key moments purely to spoil the story of the game, but going forward as I intentionally slowed the pace on uploads, for boss fights I'm going to be keeping names and pictures in the videos from here on out. The game has been out for both long enough, and I was more than cautious of spoilers at the beginning.
I plan to post all of the bosses on Give Me God of War difficulty with no damage taken. I'll also post any helpful guides to puzzles, locations and whatever else.

Beat this last night after about an hour and a half. Use vidar arms and waist, dragonscale chest. Stonecutters knob on axe with breath of thamur runic and Nemean crush runic on blades. Also use realm shift relic along with niflheim enchantments. Beginning the fight with a nemean crush runic instantly followed by a full breath of thamur runic, then activating your relic. By this point the axe should have a full permafrost bar, activate permafrost and target the big one. By the time the relic timer is over each of the bosses should be down to about 50% to 60% health making the fight WAY easier. From now, only use melee attacks as using runics will get you slaughtered by the sisters. Continue like this until everything is dead

This comment is old, but i learned that the more you aggro svipdagr the more the other sisters attack to interrupt you. i noticed that this player wouldnt do follow up attacks after blocking svips man attack flurry. Everytime i did a followup attack after parrying the other sisters threw something at me. But if you simply back off after parrying then the other sisters aggro you less.

Focused on the sisters and that did it for me. It only took a lot of rage within myself to beat, as well as maybe a broken controller along the way. The worst fight I've done in a game, and in GOW. I gotta say, no wonder it didn't get game of the year, this boss fight clearly was the reason.

Did they change the patterns on this boss fight? Daudahogg throws four projectiles instead of two and the four projectile unblockable/unparryable also has a two projectile river like attack that forced you to do a delayed roll to not get hit by it. Am I tripping?

I disagree. When you kill the main guy first, the sisters change their movesets and become even more dangerous. The main guy on his own is super easy because he is very predictable.

How not to design a boss 101 This is not hard, they just reuse some attacks from older berserks. The aim "assist" in this game is also broken, whenever i try to explode those giant spheres it keeps pushing my aim to some other enemy.

Enemy health bar colour is based on your level relative to the enemy, not the difficulty. This is GMGOW.

Health colors are base level difference, green is close to same level or over, yellow is a few levels off, purple is couple levels below, red is heavily under level. Thought they was plenty aggressive, just that everything getting parried and blocked it don't seem like it

Beat them last night at level 6, so I did roughly half as much damage as you were doing. Constantly repositioning to keep all three of them in frame was the hardest part, died so many times to offscreen attacks that I even knew were coming from the audio cues but didn't know the exact distance or timing to dodge/block/parry effectively.

Beat them last night on "give me god of war." By far the most frustrating enemies in the series, they constantly change the rules. Some advice: turn of ALL target lock ons (sometimes my spear would focus away from their orbs and on to svpidgar); BE PATIENT since the sisters will attack you after a few hits on Svpidgar; use the bit frost relic early on and siphon power from Svpidgar (I was able to almost halve their health in a single volley of attacks; finally parry constantly and try to always track the sisters while avoiding svpidgar. It's doable! But what a horrible battle.

TIP: I had to go into settings to finish this fight smh. I turned off aim assist(you need complete control of your reticle in this fight, aim assist pulling it will get you killed). I also increased my aim sensitivity a bit, default is 5 and I went to 6. This is what I did, helped me tons.

I'd rather replay the entirety of Elden ring than deal with this boss fight. At least in Elden ring, when I die, I can sit here and say yeah that's on me. With this, I feel like I die from BULLSHIT. ANIMATION LOCKS, STUN LOCKS, 3V1 leading to poor targeting situation, off screen attacks that I can't do much about owing to the limited play space. It's so frustrating and so poorly done.

Finally beat this boss yesterday. So many kept saying you have to try to beat them together. Not necessary. I focused on the berserker first though of course I was hitting the sisters any opportunity I got. But I killed the main guy first and I was able to handle the sisters. They won’t both come at you at once. You just have to notice when they are switching and dodge all their moves. They will start jumping like the berserker after he is down so you have to be careful to dodge that. I used one realm shift armour piece and also realm shift relic. Realm shift is so important to beat the berserker easily. Wish I knew how to record my fights like you guys do.

Finally beat this after 4hrs at level 5😂. So the thing that worked for me is that: 1. Kill the sisters first 2. Doge attack to trigger realm shift and to get to the sisters. Im basically following the sister. They do not tend to attack if i haven't attacked the berserker 3. I use posion and fist because they're the best damage i have 4. Then just parry the shit out of our main guy.

ikr the fact they have mimir/freya/atreus screaming “BEHIND YOU!!!” every 10 seconds and the enemy indicator arrows flashing constantly is living proof that the devs acknowledge they got a camera problem since the first game, and yet they still won’t zoom out…and the dumbest thing is, if you notice in the vanaheim dragon fights, the camera _actually does_ zoom out. so i dont know why they wont just swallow their pride and make it zoom out across the board.

And yet, here's video proving that this challenge can be beaten in perfectly. I don't have an issue with this fight. It is challenging yet possible. This boss design is quite alright and not poor. You have a brute charging you whilst two long range ones take their time to pick on you as well. So, you decide which ones to beat first. Do you go for the evade and attack tactic by beating the brute first or go straight for the long range ones since they die quick if you pick the right skill sets. You'll just have to notice when the brute is closing in on you. It is a pick your poison situation.

How do you tell if Svipdagr is going to follow up his first yellow attack with another yellow attack or the quicker side swiping attack? I got caught parrying too early on the follow up attack like a hundred times it drove me crazy. Had to switch to the shield where I could press R1 right after

I used lunda's armor for all the named bosses, and used the talismans and perks that directly influenced my melee damage. it was a breeze on hard difficulty. The thing with lunda's armor is that it inflicts poison status, which lowers the enemy level and thereby increasing the damage they receive. So to start a fight, I unequip my weapons, inflict the status effect with my punches( it was hardly like 4-5 punches ) and went ham with my runics, both light and heavy, and rinse and repeat

This fight is one of the hardest fights I’ve ever fucking done, sigrun, berserker king, sans, gna? Light work in comparison.

Bro when I entered the fight I saw 3 red healthbars I was like shit there’s 3 ?😂 and the big brute instantly k.o me and after a day of continuous death I finally won I really hate the orb attacks from the sisters it’s a guaranteed hit unless you throw something at it or dodge it ( which usually fails) and idk how ppl usually defeat the sisters first I always had to kill the dumb cold brute first

The only fight where I dropped difficulty from No Mercy to Balance, and I obviously beat it the first attempt on a lower difficulty, it’s literally just the damage, they never stop attacking you and a single mistake is death, I needed to drop to normal just to survive the few mistakes I made against these assholes

Honestly i dont hate this bossfight because its hard, i hate it because its bad. It honestly feels like one of those mods people make for games to make them really hard but they have no game design experience so it ends up sucking.

This aint on Give me god of war mode. I can tell because when the sisters do their projectile, it's supposed to be another two coming from the middle. When they do that projectile that fires four fire/ice projectiles, there's supposed to be another two from the middle

This build isnt optimal in the first place, if you're bad at parrying no build can work. For me i go strength build with vidar hands legs, dragon chest,learn to dodge and parry on the hardest. MOst OP builds use realm shift to boost damage. Such search it.
