I was really surprised that there wasn’t a ng+ at launch considering how popular it was when it come out in 2018. Hopefully they don’t take too long to add that. Wouldn’t mind some DLC too since this is most likely the last Kratos game
@@sofianepeace6554 exactly. It's pseudo rpg mechanics. Majority of the gear in the game is useless and does nothing, late game gear you get from the final endgame monsters that you can't even use because everything in the map is cleared. It's stupid. The games story is great but it fails as an rpg
If you drop the belt that procs on blocks and switch to the piece that slows time on a perfect dodge, you can use Alfheim enchantment instead of Midgard to get a separate Alfeim damage buff and a realm shift on dodge. So you can have the damage buff from time slow and dodging stacked

Instead of guantlets and waistguard I use muspelheim waist and gauntlets with berserker chest. 30% extra permafrost immolation build up. Along with nine realm hilts and you will be freezing time about every 30 seconds. Made the King and Valkyrie queen bossfights easy af.
The relic is hilt of hofud and the alternate rond is Purification. In my 2 extra slots for amulet I use kinetic resilience rune for faster charge on permafrost and immolation. Also getting hit you dont lose the entire bar. Attuned runic gem boost dmg of relic attacks whem PF, IMMOL and MAEL are full charged.
I wish we had presets because I like the whole idea of a “God of Time” class. Even though my gear setup is a little stronger than this (all around higher stats) this would still be a really enjoyable build
Just a heads up imo using the berserker gauntlets and waistguard eith Giptumadr's breastplate is wayyyy better. I tried both quite a bit and the luck chance at auto regenerating 70% of your relic or runic attacks is just way to good. Against the king of berserkers I pretty much just alternated runic attacks and probably used the realm shift relic like 8 times in the 1 fight
@@AllDayErrDay. yep, you have to choose between the passive benefits of the other shields or the combat benefit of the guardian. I tried playing with dauntless and working on my parries, but Guardian Shield + Rond of Deflection was just an unstoppable combo for me. I could parry everything and anyone except for Gna. I didn't change my Rond the entire game until I got the Rond of Obliteration.
Something that is not really talked about in ANY of the build videos I've seen is the MOD tokens. It is imperative that you get as many momentum tokens as you can to help build your immolation/permafrost as quick as possible.
I'm curious what they come up with in NG+. Compared to the last game, Ragnarok has more of an RPG feel to it because there are many builds that work quite differently, while in GOW 2018, armour sets' passives were kinda shit and didn't change much (aside from Zeus of course)
Dude the traveler set was my go to because i LOVED the melee aspect its my only downside to this game also sindris set was amazing for luck builds its more honed in this game but cant just say they’re “shit” just didnt suite your playstyle
@@Kybx i dont think you understood me. I didnt say the armours were shit, i said their passives are. Sindri's armour give some buff to runic, fire and frost. Traveler's has that barrier on the armour, the belt and the gauntlets have no passive. So yeah, compared to Ragnarok, the passives are quite simply shit
Hi, very good guide and video. I would suggest however to display all the stuff of the build in an unique sequence, and then in a second where you get that stuff. It will allow people to get ideas of the synergies and combo without being spoiled on locations.
Only if they do something similar to how Witcher 3new game plus worked. All enemies gained like 30-50% more health and they doubled or tripled their damage, and they added one or two moves to almost all enemies. They also made I think certain enemies more aggressive not by a lot but it was noticeable. They almost doubled the level cap, and added a bunch of new armors and weapons and added a new cool level up mechanic to increase Geralts power even more. A whole new area to explore similar to the crater.

I have a similar build that revolves around realm shifts, I got handles in every weapon when u activate L1 + triangle on build up elemental, it causes a realm shift. And there’s a armor set when you perform a perfect dodge you cause a realm shift, and using the relic, bezerker gear, and an amulet that makes you do more dmg during realm shifts, on perfect dodge you get your next attack boosted, AND every perfect dodge boosts the weapon charges then you’re constantly doing realm shifts
While I’m waiting for NG+, I’m currently rocking the steinbjörn armor with the berserker gauntlets and raven tears waist piece. Most of my amulet pieces are for raising cooldown and vitality, while I also have the celestial panacea and two health regen amulet pieces equipped as well. My axe handle just raises my vitality, while my blades pommels and spear attachment are the nine realms, so I have the ability to slow time, and I have the onslaught shield for higher luck and the rönd of obliteration equipped for bifrost status application to enemies. All of this, plus the hilt of Skofnung add a lot of damage plus survivability to Kratos for me. It’s kinda all over the place, but it’s working out for me in the trials at Muspelheim at the moment.
This is the build that I finished the game with, though I never got the beserkers gauntlet. I don’t feel like it broke the end game for me. It made me feel actually powerful, like young Kratos. In Ragnarok it felt right to be absolutely obliterating stuff like in the old games. Like this was finally showing Thor and Odin the guy who brought down Olympus.
Ive got the radiant waist and wrist and the default chest to lvl9 and its crazy when u know the patterns and evade at the right time. Its like u are flash
@@lzgrizzly2397 true the beginning chest armor at max level have really good stats.. hopefully in NG+ we don't have to craft our previous armors(perfect) like GOW2018 instead just level it up to 10 and the only thing to craft are those NG+ new armors..
You know what the best armor set is? The survival armor set when you fully upgrade it actually gives the most rounded and highest stats, there are no special features but in exchange it gives a boost to more attributes at higher levels.
I noticed that immediately. I checked everything at max before I upgraded a thing. I randomly created a build with berserker cuirass, gips gauntlets and I think raven or surtrs waist. Also the invulnerable relic
Don’t sleep on the survival armor at max. Raw stats are king in most games. Yeah, there are no bonus perks, but I would argue that with the right relic and amulet perks, this is the most op build out there.
Thank you! I was having a hard time beating GNA queen on Give Me God of War mode you got me through it. You thought Berserker King was harder? I thought GNA Queen was way harder than Berserker King. Give Me God of War mode is the hardest mode right?
What I don't like with the Berserker chest piece is the massive damage received for getting hit. That and the only way for the given damage to trigger is by activating the Relic which we all know takes the longest time to cooldown so the opportunity to use it is far and wide.
Gow 2018 didn't get a NG+ feature until 4 months after release, I'd just be patient and expect to see NG+, If you're like me and feel 'overpowered' for end game exploration.
I basically wear the same build, only changing the rond, cuirass and enchantments, and wearing the Berserker King Relic. I wear the Valkyrie Queen rond, the survival chest piece and: the Alfheim & Jotunheim enchantments with the Bifrost storm enchantment, the constant regen enchantment and the enchantment that grants you an Invincibility aura when you’re bout to die, gives a Strength boost and regenerates a bit of Health after the boost and the aura effect
Honestly I never felt confident enough to use permafrost/immolation/gale force *until* I equipped the grips/handles of the nine realms because that realm shift lets you dodge any incoming attacks and unload a quick combo to boot.
Tried something similar but you get literally one shotted during the buff/debuff of the chest so I'm just using it to clear trash encounters while I use the Stenbjorn for anything else since I played the entire game with the wall shield and never learned the parry timing ^_^" Just got Platinum after 70 hours of pure joy and fun so it doesn't really matter that much anymore at this point, only difference I had from your build was that I was using 2 different set of runes, the one that gives bonus stun dmg based on defense and the one that gives bonus melee dmg when ho above 75% based on defense.
You have to make sure you generate enough weapon gauge to activate the other realm shift. Also be on point with the parties. They are so strong if you learn to time them
I’m surprised I haven’t seen a build around the Hilt of Tyrfing relic yet. A relic that deals more damage the more health you sacrifice. Sounds counter intuitive I know but it does a crazy amount of damage as well as having a sub 30 second cooldown with very little investment into the cooldown stat. Run the berserker chest piece + fate breaker gauntlets + fate breaker waist. 3 Jotunheim amulets, 3 helheim amulets, then both regen essence amulets and the last amulet slot is kinda up for grabs honestly. Run Valor for your spartan rage ability. Then simply run weapon/shield attachments that give a chance at rage/health burst. Between all these you’ll be able to spam the relic, dish out crazy consistent damage, and stay ~50% health (for the damage boost from helheim amulets), and have 1-2 bars of rage at all times. Did amazing things for me on GMGOW
When I saw that relic I knew it wasn’t for me but I knew someone gonna come up w a crazy OP build around that relic. I actually might try it out now, along w other item I previously thought were useless.
I love the fact that you can mix so many different variations together like I like the healing aspects from the nipple home mama)edit😂😂😂( NIGILHEIM armor ) … I love the realm shift stuff from the berserker armor, and the Musheilm ruins it’s like pick your poison whatever you like you like some health you like to make your enemy not be able to move I like both, I need to find that crazy attack with all the freaking swords, is that some endgame stuff ? That is waaay op what made Odin look like a freaking boy lol 😂
Ngl, i am playing on God of War difficulty and the berserkers really are on another level here. Health, moves, dodges and so on. I find that the fight for this berserker chestpiece ist literally harder than the king himself. On my difficulty i cant just slap the melee guy aside like so many yt videos do on their no mercy or whatever difficulty. Also any hit in basically a guarantee for instant death. Combos are always fatal and if you‘re extremely lucky it just takes off like 75-85% of your health bar. This is btw with endgame stats and equipment - i really boosted my strength and defence and only now am i able to resist some lower level bosses a tiny bit more.
It's strong no doubt. A little too powerful in my opinion. Trivializes all encounters. Instead of developing the needed skills, reflexes, timings you just rely on slow time crutch
i had gone through the entire game trying to get this build but since I'm on give me god of war, each of the three berserkers hits like a truck, and now I've done every thing in the game except the berserkers... so i can really only use it on a few more bosses
I'm going to try this because I've been prioritizyn streght over everything I currently have 615 but I'm not able to defeat GNA and the Berserker king. I've done everything possible, so I'm going to try this.
I've been doing a wrath build and I can do about I mean if I'm fighting a single like Berserker guy and not any of the double fights I can take one out within like a solid 20 seconds Max but I think I'll be adding some realm shifts ability on to that build.
Does the musphelheim enchantment set still activate its buff when you do the L1 + R1 or does it want you to keep the gauge full but dont activate the L1 + R1? I've always wondered.

have you been to the crater yet? cause there are spots where different enemies will respawn when you pass through, hell theres even a wandering troll to kill in the daytime
I don't see how the Muspelheim set bonus matters if you will be popping your Immolation/Permafrost basically as soon as it becomes available for the time shift. As soon as you activate the shift, the set bonus disappears... The only time it would come into play is if you have both full immolation and your relic is usable at the time, but if that's the case then you're kind of wasting some uptime.
noob question: why you use amulet set bonus that increases damage of triangle abilities? this build does realm shift with the triangle, right ? does that mean it affects melee dmg during the triangle realm shit?
What are you going to fight afterwards lmao requires you to damn near 100% thr game then you have nothing to fight with ur op gear shit even ng+ will make jt obsolete. The rpg mechanics are the one thing that hikds this title back.
Use lundas for poison and then use the melee boost enchants and the one that boosts dmg to status inflic enemy. Its what i use and it wrecks. Punch 👊 everything to death, and it builds stun very fast. I used it since i got lundas on gmgow, and didnt change anything until beating the game. Now im trying other builds, else it gets stale.
I was reallying hoping for Sindri’s dwarven armor set from 2018 to return. With a different appearance though . Or at least an armor set similar to it. I suppose the closest one to it would be the fallen star set but somehow it doesnt feel as strong
My hilt of skofnung is not working right. It only attacks enemy's when I attack. If I use it and stand there it does nothing and it only lasts a couple secs even tho its at level 3. Am I using it wrong or is it something stupid going on.
doesn’t the Muspelheim amulet perk require you to have a full permafrost or immolation gauge to get the damage buff? if we’re popping the gauges as soon as they are full to get the time shift then shouldn’t we use different amulets?
i just use the starter armour max, and the nine realms rond, pommels, and then i use the original wooden grip maxed, i use the jotunheim set on my amulet
I'll admit to being the only one to have maxxed out all the gear and I can't freaking beat the V queen or the B king. I come close more often than not but I have yet to beat either one. I must be missing the mechanics of dodging and parrying and activating the perks.
All these "op" builds are never on gmgow mode. Everytime I try these on my gmgow playthrough it literally still comes down to just knowing enemy moveset and timing. No build is op when you die in 2 hits because you don't know wtf is going on.
I don’t have a gmgow save yet so no mercy was best I could do. If it’s of any help, the best gmgow no damage berserker king fight I saw also used a variation of this build
@@Evparo18 my build fits my personal playstyle of a DPS and constant realm shift based build I run berserker chest, radiance wrist and waist. Relic that gives realm shift 3 Musphelheim enchantments, 3 vanaheim enchantments (or 3 Asgard enchantments depending on how I’m feeling), enchantment that boost damage in realm shift, enchantment that boost dodge Axe and spear pommel that activates realm shift, blade pommel that bless cooldown on triangle ability (to get relic back faster) Dauntless shield with Rond that give cooldown when breaking the blue rings with L1
