Perhaps ur right about that but saying faye is skadi is.... farfetched since her weapon of choice is the leviathan axe that was given to kratos before her death but perhaps her hunting skills would come from her sister or cousin skadi having atreus learning and even having hunting in his blood

Faye and Skadi are two very different beings. First of all, Faye already exists in Norse mythology, as Laufey the Jötunn, mother of Loki. And as we know, she died very shortly before God of War 2018, as we bring her lifeless body to the fire. Unlike Faye, Skadi died way before God of War started, and she died with her dead father in her arms, both covered in snow. Also, Faye's weapon's of choice is the dwarves's Leviathan Axe, and she only taught Atreus how to be a bowman.

Well... The story of skadi in this game is completetely different from the actual one in the eddas. It is explained that Skadi's father forced Loki to help him kidnap Idun. Loki advised the aesirs of what he had done, soo he with the help of the cloack of Freya that turned him in an eagle, tricked the giant, also turned into an eagle, to fall in a great fire preparated by the gods, burning him to ashes. Skadi was furious, and demanded a resarchement from them. They offered her the hand of one of them... She chosed Baldur. But obviously Frig was not ok with this... Soo, Loki tricked her into chosing her husband by only seeing the feets of the various guys that were covered by a cloack... She chosed the most gorgeus feets, thinking they were Baldur's ... But they were not. They were the feets of Niordr.. Freya and Freyr's father... The two got married and lived accordingly to the seasons in the home of one or another. But eventualy they started to live separated. Because Skadi could not stand the sound of the seaguls that roamed around Moatun, and her husband could not stand the howling of the wolves in her palace... This game took a lot of liberties.. But that is ok. It's not like the norse myth is accurate on anything... It have more holes than scottish cheese...

@@hermescarraro3393 I'm sure there were details about their marriage but it sounded like these two were fine being together but the only thing keeping them apart were the sounds they dont like when sleeping.

The god she married was Njord, one of the Vanir gods living in asguard, but before that she also challenged the gods into making her laugh (nearly made Loki a Eunuch)

@@aureum7479 1 Odin never wanted skaði as a wife and 2 she didn't kill þhiazi all the gods did when they saw him chasing loki into asgard as he was bringing Iðun back home after she was kidnapped by þhiazi (with the help of Loki after getting into trouble with þhiazi)

As Atreus puts it, "Odin and Thor, ruining everything for everyone." :(

Cause without Loki (Atreus), the story changed. Loki was the reason Thiazi died. But because of Kratos the stories changed

Highly unlikely, the two are described pretty differently, yeah the two share the similarity of being powerful female warriors but the two have very distinct differences. Skadi is described as a giantess who strictly uses nothing but a bow and arrow....Skadi was also described by Mimir to be very prideful always trying to show off her beyond Godly archery skills to those arround her whilst Faye who we later find out was actually named "Laufey" is described as being the Just/Honourable Guardian of the Jötnar who went out of her way to free the sick and starving from the Aesir, she seemed to be a very noble and benevolent individual and seemed to be more multi-faceted with her fighting style, she had a bow, shield and a magical frost axe...so based on their roles, personality and fighting styles Skadi and Faye/Laufey are most likely two different people....BUT I personally think there's a high probability that the two were very close friends since they're both female warriors who probably admired eachother skills, Atreus even said his mom Faye seemed to really like her, maybe part of her liking for Skadi was because she might've known her as a close friend and if Skadi was a friend of Laufey then it means by default she's also a friend of Kratos and Atreus which would confirm that we might see Skadi in the God Of War sequel where she becomes our ally and maybe she gives both Kratos and Atreus new powerful equipment, maybe she upgrades Atreus' bow and gives him more powerful arrows, not sure what she'd give Kratos though.

@@joyboy2413 totally agree with you that was my first thoughts but then it got me thinking this is god of war where fact meets fiction and everything has its own spin on things I thought the same as you until I herd her story what if it was her in her younger days being a show off and trying to prove her skills with the bow until Odin tricks her into killing her father who could shap shift into animals just like Loki and then she changes her name and becomes more helpful and cares for those in need hence the bow and shape shifting what Loki will have in the sequel and would explain why that story she told her son was her favourite it was her past self they could go that road but just a thought you are right though but god of war is full of twist and turns

@@mattjordan6250 Yeah I but the thing is individuals don't dramatically become entirely different people, yeah people evolve but evolving to make your core values better and getting hid of some of the negatives of your personality is very different completely ditching your core values and turning into someone drastically incomparable, so I don't see Skadi completely ditching her core vaules and creating an enitrely different persona, yeah she'd evolve from the experience but I highly doubt it would motivate her to be thid morally just individual who likes to save people, if anything the experience would make want to seek vengence against the Aesir specifically Odin since Odin was the one who caused her father Thiazi's death, so I still don't think the Skadi = Laufey theory really has a lot backing, if any at all.

@@mattjordan6250 that's the logical guess is that faye and skadi were sisters, close friends, cousins even but yea a close bond they had and if we do meet her in the next game she will be an ally for sure once she sees the axe on kratos (would be threatening at 1st just like how sindri was trying to pick a fight with kratos thinking he killed faye or fought her taking the axe from her but realized after atreus telling him shes his mom and kratos is his dad so yea same scenario with her) definitely she can be the one to give better insight of the history she had with faye and it might lighten up kratos's spirits a bit hearing about her again

“liked” is far too vague of a word to come to that conclusion.

More like they liked each other like sisters or cousins in a sense from wat I'm seeing cus it seems the 2 had talked alot before any of their tragedies
