If a friend gives me a gift that ends up making me go through years of pain, insecurity and isolation, I'd say that it was a bad gift, no matter what also came with it. I spent three whole years thinking I’d find happiness when I would eventually discover what the meaning of life is, and after I’ve given up that pursuit I’ve never felt happier. I think purpose is all subjective; It doesn’t really matter how we got here because we’ll find out in death and since no one has come back from that dark cold depth, no one truly knows. If we did know, everyone would agree on what happens after death and if there’s a god. It’s not for us to know right now apparently, so why waste time trying to figure it out when we could just live and enjoy what we see in front of us?
There are people who have and do know. You can find them on youtube: testimonials of hell ect. Its incredible how a black inner city pastor can report near identical experiences to St John Bosco despite more than a thousand years and entire deposits of faith between them. I have a story to share if you are interested. I heard Jesus voice and he saved me from offing myself in my teens. I was a depressed teenager despite having a wonderful childhood. The world was bleak and i felt like living was an exile from where i was meant to be. For whatever reason i got the idea that sleep was peace and that death was the eternal sleep. I would only be free with death. What a demonic lie. But i believed it; months and months of deepening depression makes it appealing; and went to kill myself. Timed so my parents would find me hours too late. But just before i could do it, 3 people appeared in my mind to dissuade me. My best friend, my mother and what felt like my conscience but looking back was my guardian angel. After i dismissed all of them, and set myself on getting it over with. I heard him speak to me to chide me. Jesus said my name but with so much love. Hearing his voice cured my depression, completely erased any and all of the feelings of oppression i had and my anxiety and i cried like a baby for half an hour at the least. I felt like a baby before that love. I cannot go back to unknowing. Not only does he exist, but he loves us so much that it is unfathomable. Of all the love i ever experienced in my life, the closest love to it was my mothers when i was a child and there it was like a candle compared to the sun. A single penny before a pile of gold as far as the eye can see. And this is to show how significantly i was loved and cared for by my mother that her loves worth would even be a copper penny. Everything else was less than dust. Not a single thing matters except loving god and it is something you do through people here and now as well as with your soul in private. What im describing sounds way beyond but i felt it. My words will never do his love justice. All i can say to you is that he is real, and you do not need to die to find out. You just need to go to Jesus with an open heart. Go to a Catholic Mass and ask God to show you. In his house he always does; this is because the spiritual and the physical have a unique relationship; proximity to holy objects, holy places ect matters. But he can and does reach you anywhere if you cry out with persistence because he made you. And like with the prodigal son, he runs to you even if you are down the road near the gate saying "my son is home". And like the lost sheep, he leaves the flock behind to reach out to take you back. I wrote a lot and let my zeal get the best of me, God bless you.
Stop theorizing, stop regretting. What's going to happen will eventually be, what has already happened is gone. Don't live in the past or the future, only present. Observe, act and enjoy what's happening right now. That way, you won't be caught off guard, for you don't have one to rely on. Think of it like a net (present moment only) and wood (future planning) trying to pass through water (rough times). The net does get wet, but it passes a lot of water through without much effort. Wood, on the other hand, gets fully soaked, but still passes after a lot of time. The problem of having thick skin is getting under it to heal an infection. You know V1 and V2 from Ultrakill? V1 has thin layering making it fragile, but in return agile, can regenerate from stealing blood and dries off fast. V2 is the opposite, being tough but unable to heal and dries slower.

Yes, but you and and the woman/man you are meant to are already written next to eachother in the book of life. When you meet the one you will know and and so there is nothing wrong in doing love together when you know you will get married together. God will give clear signs when you meet your future spouse and any love you do together will never be unclean. Of course dont immidietly breed with anyone you meet thinking they are the one but instead take time to mature in love and only when you see it aliging with biblical definition of love proceed. Its best to get married first but sometimes its not possible and so its fine to do it before. In eyes of God you and her are already married.

Thats why i mentioned that he will clear signs to you who you are meant to be with. Starving your spouse from sexual intimacy hurts her more than fullfilling them. Just listen to God and Pray and it will go how its supposed to.

My mother was convinced that God had told her to marry my father despite in the end they turned out to be one of the most dysfunctional couples I've ever seen or heard of. She is also perhaps the most devout Christian I know. Trust your logic, the counsel of the wise, and the word of God to know when you've found the One, not your heart.
I used to be a misandrist and think this world is doomed and we all live and die for no purpose, but I rediscovered love and hope, despite we not having any intrinsic purpose, we have made our own purpose: to love each other and prosper despite this universe's hardships, live to the fullest while you can and teach the next generation to do so as well

Of course other interpretations are more akin to satan creating the world just for humans to suffer by their own hands. Some would even say that Jesus implied humans should create their own heaven on earth, because of the demiurges failed creation, to take power from the gods and give it in the hands of humans, who had the potential to surpass themselves.

My father suffered a stroke a few years ago, now all he can do is lay in bed and scream in pain all day everyday. Can't move, cries himself to sleep every night. This world CAN be beautiful, but it's not inherently so. The suffering can outweigh the positives for some.

This video is really interesting to watch and the comments are really interesting to read as an atheist that grew up in a somewhat christian society that didn't take religion completely seriously in a deeper way. I feel like I learned something here that I could not have learned elsewhere weirdly.

Nobody cares about the soulless theories about the creation of our Eden, even more if they are to justify the decadence and lack of spiritual acomplishment that modern life has turn into.
