To all the atheists or none believers reading this comment. This is a movie about a woman who fights for what she believes in because she's not ashamed of loving God or getting frowned upon because of her belief. It was not meant to hate upon atheists or other none believers, because we respect your beliefs as well, that's our job as Christians. We understand that you feel like we're discriminating your beliefs but we're not! We're simply spreading our own and that's no crime. And honestly, if you think about it, if actually listen to the things you're saying about Christians, you'll learn about discrimination.

My great uncle was an amazing man, one of the best people I have ever met. We sadly found out a few years ago he had cancer, I visited him everyday and it broke my heart to see him going through the therapy, I am so grateful that he managed to fight it and make a full recovery. Unfortunately I showed him this video and the cancer came back :(

I wonder how much hate a "Allah's Not Dead" movie would get from the Christian community if it got as popular as the first God's Not Dead did. Christians (just so you know, I'm saying this as a currently questioning Christian myself) always preach that there needs to be more freedom of religion in schools, but forget the fact that that would mean that Muslims, Buddhists, Satanists, etc. would be able to practice their beliefs freely too (not that that's a bad thing,it just is in a lot of Christian's eyes). After all, it's freedom of religion, not freedom of Christianity.

I've never heard a modern atheist utter the pretentious phrase "God is dead." Either they are unfamiliar with the phrase, assume it is literal and reject it, or they are familiar with the phrase and reject Nietzsche's bizarre nihilistic feelings towards the irrelevance of the concept of God. Atheists think God doesn't exist and feel no need to be gloomy about it. To make a movie franchise built around a position next to no one holds is weird.

I preferred the religions when they were "holier than thou", before they were "more persecuted than thou".

Why not make an actual movie about Christian persecution and set it in the Middle East?

Nobody wants to ban the ability to pray or have God in schools. Everyone is more than welcome to do it. What people want to do make everything secular and neutral as it should be. Jesus should not be taught in schools the same way Muhammad should not be taught in schools. Everything should be neutral.

I'm assuming the premise of this movie, much like the first one, is that Christians are somehow oppressed in the bloody US? Yeah, no, they are actually a majority and if anything people are seen as weird if they DON'T believe in God. I'm infinitely glad that I was lucky enough to have been born in the wonderfully atheistic and secular country that is Sweden, because there's no way I could deal with the amount of religiosity across the pond.

If you don't believe in God, why are you here? Why did you take time off to search up this movie and feel the need to ridicule someone else's religion? You leave comments saying this movie is trash or that there isn't a God, ok? Well, to each their own, right? This is hilarious. The whole premise is "ohh us Christians are so persecuted in America, feel sorry for us..." Are you serious? Christians are the dominant group in the United States and they're constantly forcing their religion on people in this country, whether it's trying to pass Christian legislation or discriminating against gay people bc of "religion" or trying to take away abortion and birth control rights. This teacher can't talk about God in her class because it's a public school and you can't show favoritism to a religion in public school - duh!!

I'm Christian. I thought the first movie was okay... That was years ago... I watched it again. It's bad... it's really bad. And I'm ashamed it exists. Why are there Christians in the comments defending this?

Just because you can't preach about Jesus in public school doesn't mean your religious beliefs are being infringed on. I don't understand why this concept is so difficult for christians. No one should be targeted or bullied for their beliefs. Respect others. Believing in God is not a crime. Love and Kindness is the whole fabric of the entire universe. It is time we start showing it and giving it back to others and all living beings.

I actually watched this all the way through on Netflix as I wanted to get an insight into how the other side thinks for two reasons: 1) it is always possible I might have something wrong that another perspective could put right and 2) you can better argue your own case if you understand the other side. I must say, it's a huge disappointment. There was absolutely no subtlety or nuance and the entire film was one giant illustration of the Christian persecution complex. All the atheists/non-Christians (apart from the defence lawyer and he seemed to be moving towards Christianity) were shown as mean-spirited, shallow and self-obsessed to the point of caricature. We were asked to believe that two parents who had lost a son didn't even give a damn because they were atheist, we had all of the school staff and legal team being shown as not only not religious but militantly atheist. In contrast, every one of the Christians was shown to be impossibly polite and innocent at all times. No attempt was made to capture the reality that the world is really made up of shades of grey. Pretty much every character in the film was either a die-hard atheist who didn't just happen to believe in God but actively hated Christianity or a fully committed born again Christian. How is that even slightly reflective of reality? In addition, the premise of the film (that a teacher would be dragged through the courts for a minor infraction like that) is laughable. However, actually it IS technically true that she broke the rules. She quoted from scripture with no qualification such as "Christians believe that..." and then offered up a Christian view of Christ's good character. That is preaching not teaching and it does conflict with the separation of church and state. I don't think though that anyone would have seriously made a huge fuss about it and the very least she'd have got would've been a slap on the wrist by the headteacher. The thing which was genuinely not ok though was how she talked privately outside school and didn't attempt to refer the child for counselling or anything like that but, again, preached her religion. I don't know how things usually are in the US but it would be considered highly unprofessional in the UK for a teacher to be meeting with a child outside of school full stop, let alone trying to convert them!

when I was in 7th grade we were studying ancient myths and legends in my english-lit. class I asked my teacher why we didn't talk about the Bible. He replied that he would love to but some people would get offended because they believed the stories in the Bible were true. I never understood this.

_I saw a comment where they say that atheist are bashing this movie and that proves Christians are doing something right. I'm Christian myself, and I was raised into the doctrine of attempting and having to believe in that religion. And if I didn't, I'll be prosecuted and lectured saying "I'll go to hell!" because I don't feel God. I mean, people hsce tried to justify to Mr clearly that God's there, but I never feel him. I have contacted constantly in the past, but I rarely do it now cause I don't see the point or feel anything while doing it. I had that faith that's needed to believe on what I'm doing and praying for, but I honestly got nowhere with it. I mean, I could've kept doing it and see a change, but I had a feeling that I was just wasting my time by doing such things like that. And they say "God died on the cross for all of your sins" But, if he died on the cross for our sins, why does sin still exist? Yeah, it still exist because they say the devil as in Satan attempts to make people feel the need to do certain things. And yeah, God gave us the freewill, but our freewill to experience things that we feel that is "us" as a person. But either way, experiening that is wrong if you're not living up in "His" sight. Then what's the point of freewill of its going to be wrong whether if we find it right or if it's right in general. But our standard of right doesn't matter though, only his does. And if we have thoughts other than what he provides specifically, then it's wrong. But wouldn't sin even exist if hr dud for all if sins to vanish forever, but yet, he created us with din again and will contradict what he says and will say we'll go to hell for things he should've already known from the beginning of he's perfect as he sets himself out to be. And people always try to rationalize things as they want too because the believe in God, and since I believe in God, I can justify my thoughts freely without judgement. Well, that's not fair then, knowing that you're basing your own knowledge on what you think instead of get the Bible says to follow. Wouldn't you consider that a bit... hypocritical in a way. And God is suppose to be SO loving that everyone says, but he has destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah instead of logically trying to see what he can do.
