It’s time to be honest with ourselves - our lives are busy. Experiencing God's peace and the simple life does not happen as much as we’d like. However, the benefits of seeking out the peace of God are immeasurable.
We intentionally make our lives busy and our days so full of people and things that may or may not need to be a part of our journey that we, whether knowingly or not, detract from the opportunities for authentic, spiritual peace to enter our lives. We need to reflect on our sense of awareness and the cultivation of a peaceful presence in our days if we hope to grow closer to Christ - an important part of our God-given purpose.
Join me today as we chat about finding the peace of God and living a slow and simple life.

Love your channel. Beautiful videos. Your channel was marketed to me and I've been binge watching since. You speak so much truth and, even though I'm a proud Southerner, I did may of the homemaking things you do when I lived in Wisconsin. We didn't live on any land, but visited State Parks any time we could. Keep up the good work, Mama!

That's a very good question. Two things I found were starkly different. One was me and my outlook. I realized when I was in Wisconsin I just didn't need everything I thought I did in Texas to be a successful homemaker. I became minimalist leaning and relied so much more on my relationship with God to survive all the change in seasons. The other was access. Wisconsin had easier access to organic fruits and vegetables and products probably due to the larger amount of farms in the state whereas as Texas is so much consumed by oil and ranchland. It made purchasing or obtaining those items much less affordable. I challenged myself while in the North to make those recipes with things like cherries-when they were actually in season. I learned to love and cook with venison. I ate so many more green vegetables. I didn't let single motherhood or needing to have a work schedule stop me from doing all those things that I wanted to do at home. I hope that answers the question. I do totally agree with that a woman needs to be building a home with her man. My story didn't work out that way, but I feel so much kinship with women like you who include the Lord in their homemaking journey.

I think that I would have moved somewhere 10 years sooner than I did because I learned SOOOOO much. I, for some reason, thought (and sometimes still do) Texas was the only place. But I completely changed my perspective on myself, realized that the people I had spent 30 years around were really toxic and didn't share my values, and I became dependent on God in a very real way. I realized I didn't have as many survival skills as I thought but I learned and very quickly. I'm trying to transition myself into debt repayment as my daughter is older and I can go back to work more. I feel like God just put your channel in my path.

Today was the first time your videos showed up to me. I'm a 64 year old woman; a follower of Jesus. I want to give you support and encouragement for your channel. Very nicely done and so good you constantly use God's word in your guidance in pointing others to Jesus. God bless you and your beautiful family. May I ask which app you use to put your videos together? I've been looking into them. I've just started to do some recording to eventually put together with videos.
