Well I’m becoming Woody.EXE’s Queen on July 20th, 2023; my 21st birthday the same day as our coronation. I’ll be taking my reigna name as Queen Elizabeth III
I’m 20, and proud to have enrolled in Her Majesty’s Canadian Army. Hope to serve Canada and her majesty well. Proudly have a portrait of her on my wall.
@William Dryden Yes, well I'm a Catholic. lol, don't expect me to support a Muslim Monarch. Any Christian Monarchs will do, Catholic or Orthodox. (I know I'm not the one who you're asking with.)
God Save the Queen! Long Live Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of her other realms and territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith!
The endurances, efforts , the speeches, qualitative examples, and legacy bounding loyalties of such from a majesty that has had a seventy year span of empowering women all over the globe and to know we love, respect and admire queen Elizabeth .
When done right, this is the best anthem on earth. Personally I think they sing it too fast most of the time, but versions like this- slow and with lots of chord changes, going back and forth between major and minor- are chilling
I will be playing this anthem for Woody.EXE’s coronation in 7 months time and I’ll definitely be crying as he is crowned by me and my mother. I literally can’t wait for my 21st birthday now
There has never been, can never be a rendition of that anthem that will compare with THIS, the very first time it reached her ears as Queen anointed in full regalia in her coronation church, a royal peculiar. She was only 26. The back story of the BBC broadcast is fascinating. And this is the only play of the fanfare after this fashion as its opening was alerted to the more familiar rendering of today.
That's very observant of you to notice the difference between the fanfare as it was played then and now. Do we know why and when it was changed and what the exact differences are? I assume the arranger, Gordon Jacob, made the revision: he died as late as 1984. The main change I can hear immediately is on the 3rd chord which in the modern version is a straight root position major chord of B major but in the coronation version is a more interesting dominant 7th. I wonder why that was changed? It sounds good to me. It's a rather similar situation to the changes William Walton later made to his "Crown Imperial" march (1937 coronation) which included cutting out some rather good bars (I like them, anyway) towards the end.
Great Britain and its people have a lot to be very proud of. Anyone who vilifies GB is obviously suffering from a severe case of "Tall Poppy Syndrome" as it's called here in Australia.
@@tucoselby : A righty mighty round of thanks to you and to all Australia....Always an admirer of the great People of Australia - the Diggers as we used to call you and with pride in our hearts to know you! Convey my compliments to your absolutely superb Group « The Seekers »! Their singing « I am an Australian... » is the greatest! And never forgetting - how could one?, - « Waltzing Matilda » Love The little story and the lingo! Cheers Cobber and thanks again!
Maybe the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, but the Empress of the World and the Goddess of our hearts! Long live the Queen, Vive la reina, Gott schütze die Königin!
Hello everyone! I am from Bangladesh, I love English culture, in fact I had my British ancestors for example: my grandfather is my great-grandfather etc... Coming from the British Raj, I miss them so much I would like a return to the great British Raj, they were the bearers of civilization and culture I am proud of it, I am really proud of my ancestors in fact I found the English traces in my DNA I am proud of, GOD Save The Queen, God Bless England
My dear, you only say that because Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is a wise ruler, from the mid-50s to the late 90s, Hong Kong was under the golden age of British rule because of her reign. I just want to say, you wouldn't say these words were you born in the Victorian Era when Hong Kong was first conquered. Discriminations, Corruptions, and Poverty were common things back then. I just hope you can think about that before saying these words. Of course, as a fellow Hong Konger, I do prefer British rule as it allows us to exists as an international centre for all sorts of cultures. We are able to see through different perspectives in our unique culture with the perfect mix of English & Chinese. It brings me great sorrow to see our unique culture ebbing away as time goes by, and each changes the mainland made here. But I digress, I just want to tell you there's more behind the definition of "better under British rule", things like this were never simple or black and white. 😉
@@Curios_Cat From the current situation, the Victoria Era is still better than today. I prefer that corruption you described over China, Britain has been a civilised country since the 16th Century. Idc about discrimination or anything, at least they won't kill people as much as the Chinese and provided security for basic necessities, which China has never been provided for the citizens in the last hundred years . No Britain, there would be no Hong Kong.
I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms (Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu), Crown Dependencies (the Bailiwick of Guernsey, the Bailiwick of Jersey and the Isle of Man), Territories (Anguilla, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn Islands, Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands) and Head of the Commonwealth. Long live the Queen - Greetings from your southern neighbours, Spain.

Pray for the queen Elizabeth! God save the queen, God save the Commonwealth nations and Falkland islands. My condolences to the UK and Commonwealth nations from Mexico. God save the king! 🇲🇽❤️🇬🇧
God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen. Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us, God save the Queen. Oh Lord our God arise, Scatter her enemies, And make them fall. Confound their politics, Frustrate their knavish tricks, On Thee our hopes we fix, God save us all. They choicest gifts in store, On her be pleased to pour, Long may she reign. May she defend our laws, And ever give us cause To sing with heart and voice: God save the Queen!
I have only been under Her Majesty. So have my parents. And my Grandparents. My Great Grandparents likely wouldn't have remembered much outwith her too. Lets see how far this goes. Lizzy first at heavens command!
People of the United States respect her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II and we pray her can keep alive 100 in 2026 the Year will be co-celebration of the U.S. 250th anniversary
1953 was the year of Her Majesty's Coronation, although she certainly ascended to the throne on her father's death in 1952. This version of the anthem is of course otherwise utterly rousing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the QUEEN May She Long Live and Reign Our prayers and condolences on the loss of her partner her consort of 73 years, Prince Phillip, RIP sir, you proved your loyalty to your wife and Queen. GOD BLESS AND GOD SAVE THE QUEEN. Note: When Obama went over on his 1st tour and was embarrased for talking over the National Anthem of the UK, he later asked Prince William if he, Obama could ever be king, since supposedly there is some blood way down the line on the royal family. Prince William, was to have said, no never king, but you could be a Queen! Bada Bing Bada Boom!
I’m missing Prince Philip so much every time I listen to this. And I’ve never heard him talk publicly until after he died and I loved how funny he was. Love you Prince Philip
