@@gaudd US troops werent involved in WW1 till 1918, and they didnt step foot in Turkey or any othe battles round the world and Germany was under economic collapse due to the naval blockade and wouldnt last much longer, Bulgaria and Austria Hungaria capitulated but not thanks to US troops but Brits, Greeks and commonwealth in the south and Italy in the West. WW2 was largly won in the Eastern front however, if the UK surrendered in 1940 then the war wouldve been over and the UK and commonwealth were the only countries in at one point, also the African front was mostly Brits and commonwealth, same with DDAY and the invasion of Italy.

tbh Makes No Sense . Britain was successful in keeping Germany away from their island and prevented an invasion . Its not a Victory . Its a stalemate . But its not the Brits who defeated Germany . More than 80% of German causalities are inflicted by the Soviets . And it wasn't untill 1944 that the Germans lost all their stronghold in the east that the Brits & Americans dared to make the "D Day" . Britain played a role ,but understand its not Britain who defeated Germany in ww2.

I've always thought our National Anthem isn't the best. This one addition has made me change my mind. Bravo whoever came up with that. Simple but so very effective.
