And arguably, that’s even cooler than Killing God. You’re not just killing an all powerful entity, you’re killing the man who killed that all powerful entity
We went from “Best boss theme in Fire Emblem” to “Luigi grabs you at 0%” to “NUKES” and I have no idea how that happened but as long as more people discover this song I’m all for it.
TLDR; the game has 4 routes, and in 1 of them the main characters are fighting to end xenophobia and this is the theme that plays during their final fight against a zombified version of an ancient king who is very bad and is both tangentially and directly responsible for creating the xenophobia and racism the characters are fighting against.
@@randomlyrapid8996 I think the vocals in this is implied to be the creator of Racism, apparently if you translate it, it would read out as if he was interacting with you.
@@heathenpride7931 even though this is a combination of both the rain and thunder versions, it would make sense that one would expect the vocals since the rain version is what you hear first in game
@@tomvhresvelg9286 Hmm. Interesting. I don't remember hearing that before and I haven't heard the JP version enough. Claude's English VA did a really cool cover with FamilyJules.
This music is perfect for when you're shooting missiles capable of becoming miniature suns at a godlike eldritch beast of the dark depths on a Jovian moon.
I love how Verdant Wind shamelessly alternates between heroic, full orchestral opera and straight up dubstep. Favourite route hands down, if not for the story and characters, then for the music alone.
I made the "mistake" of aligning with Golden Deer my first time playing 3H. I didn't know the game was going to peak with that house. Truly the Meme House.
@@drygnfyre I picked Golden Deer because I thought Claudr was Bisexual (HE WASN'T, AND I WAS MAD!) I think Crimson Dawn is up there (Silver Snow being the worst one) because we actually see Byleth smile in the end. But yeah, as someone who's more into the lore of World Building more than individual stories, Golden Deer was peak for me. And Dimtri can suck it. He slaughters children and then we're supposed to say "Nah, it's cool, you were just grumpy"
@@drygnfyre I made the same mistake and I do not regret it at all, I love this house. I do plan on going the Edelgard route next though just to see whar's going on with her and the empire (while recruiting everyone from the Golden Deer, of course).
I started with golden deer and now I am on black eagles, and honestly... politically the only one I ever empathized with was Claude, so it's hard to even care for her cause (so far). I love the golden deer characters and story personally..
It's funny how that's basically the plot of FE:TH, but you're the teacher who gets to decide who's right while the strict "motherly" principal watches your every move closely.
I know i'm opening pandora's box with this question, but who of the 3 is right in your opinion? Claude, who uses every dirty method at his disposal for a more open minded society, Edelgard who starts a war for a world free of corruption, be it by the church or the nobility, Or Dimitri who trusts in the way things used to be?
@@Raptor747He's not saying this is dubstep, he's saying that a different chapter in Claude's route *does* have dubstep. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yTjO8hZmIx4.html

Ahhhh, such a beautiful sight. Mine was just Raph running straight through everything and barreling into the boi and destroying anything in his way. Everyone else was support.
Nintendo not realising that having their OSTs online is great free advertising. I literally got into several Nintendo-owned franchises via the music, with Fire Emblem being amoung them.
Tim Barnes At the very least they can release the soundtracks on iTunes or elsewhere. Loads of companies profit from that. It honestly seems to me like they think plugging headphones into your Switch and listening to music from there will suffice. Which is... foolish.
i love that 1st booming note, i was listening to this on a shuffled playlist and as soon as i heard that first chord, the words {GOD SHATTERING STAR} reverberated through my brain like a stone bridge collapsing it's full weight into the river bellow
Q1: In a hypothetical scenario you are in the War of Heroes. In a series of paragraphs explain your battle plan. Q2: (Multiple Choice) What do you do when your enemy lights their capital on fire? A: Pack up and leave. B: Attack them. C: Surrender. D: All of the above.
I honestly lost my shit when I saw the weapons that some units had, thinking "Wait, are these?" and then I realized that "Yes, yes they are." It would have been cool if they had interactions with their descendants or something, but it was an absolutely amazing final map nonetheless. Nemesis being voiced by Lu Bu is a cherry on top for me as well.
Everyone: "Why isn't God Shattering Star in Smash? This is an outrage" Me, an outsider: "Ok, lemme hear this God Shattering Star song" Me: "Why isn't God Shattering Star in Smash? This is an outrage"
Verdant wind was my "Fuck it, I'm done with maddening. Professor solo time." Route. Normal gameplay tells you that SPOILER Professor becomes a God. Professor Solo lets you play it.
“Our song has been sung, but the number of verses in yours, we do not know. The bridge is collapsing, but *INTERFERENCE*. For us there are no stars, only home, but for you the skies are open. They will never know of your sacrifice, but we do.”
Had fun having my Female Byleth "recreate how Nemesis was first killed by Seiros" (Damaged him with a sword....then "BEAT HIM TO DEATH WITH MY FISTS LOL").
I poked around and discovered that this video is a CUSTOM remix/splice of the two official versions of God Shattering Star. The uploader made this (amazing) splice, uploaded it without a description and without putting Fire Emblem in the goddamn title, and got 5 million views. Legend.
Like, this is easily the best version of the track. The way 3:25-4:00 is worked into everything else... the way 4:36 is echoed by 5:01... it's all so good. And it took significant audio editing skill to do it, too (I know because I tried to replicate the editing myself).
Apex of the World- a song that is bittersweet, and yet hopeful at the same time. Funeral of Flowers- enchanting and sorrowful, a truly beautiful peace. God Shattering Star- Powerful and thunderous, literal showstopper.
The pros of having this theme as an alarm would be that you're DEFINITELY going to wake up. The cons would be suffering a LITERAL heart attack every morning.
Exactly! "Turn down for Whammu" Pillar Men Theme is my alarm since 2017... My poor heart can't handle it sometimes but I never miss my appointments. That's a win I guess.
I kid you not, I heard this track a month ago and decided to get Three Houses because I wanted to hear this song ingame. I now have 160 hours and I'm on my third playthrough. I never thought a single song would get me into a game series like Fire Emblem, but I'm really loving it. Heck, with the context of beating Three Houses multiple times, the picture on this video is starting to make more sense.
The First of many Rubix Raptor fans to arrive at this wonderful song he used for the final boss in Barotramua. They swam through the depths of saturn. Faced end-worms galore. While tails clownish behavior slowed them down. To the center of the Eye they went, while going through the gore. Fighting Gibley-Gorb, The devour of Gods and clowns. Though nothing can stand against the might of nuclear fire. As the firing Solution finalized, Off went the missiles. As they lost the echo, the situation became dire. But the missile was found, And soon it was the gods final dismissal. Launch the nukes from the rails and watch the eldritch horrors burn. Their is only one god in his world and his name is Tails. -Tree
Just wanna say, I think there is no better way to finish off Nemesis than to use Sublime Heaven against him, have it Crit, and get "Here is something to believe in!" as the crit quote
I beat him earlier and that is exactly what happened. Im not sure if i found this battle or the Rhea battle with Edelgard more epic. Now i just have to play through blue lions.
I like this cuz it's what literally happened to me. Fallen star crit + sublime heaven crit Quotes being "Strategy in Motion" and "Here's something to believe in"
personally as of now i used Claude to defeat Nemesis and used Dimitri to defeat Edelgard both used their signature relic and combat art while also getting a crit with them feels good
@@eitanr this guy doesn't know what he's talking about what you really need to do is Get a Switch, get Fire Emblem Three Houses, and choose the Blue Lion house
@@wesnohathas1993 its more of an anti fundamentalist experience. Because in all but vw do you become the pope. The god shattering star refers to a stinky old bandit that literally killed sothis and her demigod kids
I’ve never played Three Houses, and people in the smash OSTs comments keeps saying how they were upset that god shattering star wasn’t in the game. I understand now. This song is craaazy.
CaptainSky golden deer is the least emotional route imo. Because you have claude. The most emotional thing about golden deer is not picking that housr because you are going to play another route.
I like how both of the final bosses in the other routes are these absolutely inhuman looking monstrosities, and then there's Verdant Wind with a Boomer Bandit singing opera.
@@actualweeb3885 Don't think so? Haven't gotten around to a Maddening playthrough yet, but the strategies I'm seeing definitely require some Rallying and ganging up.
Imagine having the history of killing the goddess as an ordinary bandit, obtaining her crest, carving the ultimate weapon from her bones and slaughtering most of the goddess' children with that power before establishing an army using more crests and carved weapons. And then returning 1000 years later to rule the world with an even more powerful weapon.... only to be one shotted by a white haired dessert-loving teenager who says "YoU' rE iRrElEvAnT"
@@Lumen_571 Theoretically it shouldn't be but it is. It has higher damage and uses and lower weight than even the sublime creator sword. Although it doesn't crit and has a slightly lower accuracy.
Not if you decide NOT to side with Edelgard and are exposed to A Funeral of Flowers instead 😌 (I love all the final boss themes but AFoF was very touching to me)
@@nicogalax Nah, it's because the Silver Snow crew gets there 1 month sooner because they don't have to fight at Gronder Field. @@hansgretl1787 exactly, verdant wind is the only path that results in you being too slow to stop the revival, and thus borrows on the same trope every damn FE game uses "oh no you were too slow to stop the big bad ritual but through friendship you win anyway"

Both Rhea and Edelgard start off with the best intentions of the future, but take drastic measures to achieve their aims once they lose those they love and become desperate, but while you can prevent Edelgard from becoming desperate, rhea became mad long ago. However, Nemesis and those who slither in the dark where never good in the first place irredeemably evil.

Same. As I said on his Video that if you listened to this first for that moment then to his video he matches up the soundtrack and the alarm practically perfectly.
I specifically avoided listening to this track despite it showing up in my recommended repeatedly just so I could experience it raw in game. Long I have wondered what this track sounded like. Now, having finally completed VW, and consequently the entirety of the game, I can definitely say that this was well worth the wait.
I wish I knew what it was when I stumbled on it and waited as you did. Still got the absolute CHILLS when I saw what that map was. I mean, the previous 10 Elites + Nemesis on the same battlefield where he fought Seiros? And they use their RELIC WEAPONS?! (Or, well, copies? Replicas? Dark versions?) AND THIS THEME? Jesus. Like, Blue Lions is still my favorite route, but The Deer have the best final map BY FAR.
