These videos honestly were the only thing getting me through the week of my mothers funeral, she died unexpectedly April 2nd and it was left for me and my brother to plan the funeral. She was my best friend and the light of my life and losing her made me feel like everything was crashing and burning and I was numb to it all. I discovered these videos the week we had to plan her funeral and I couldn't find joy in anything, nothing was making me laugh or even smile I felt nothing but pain and grief and like everything was over. I put on one of these and immediately starting laughing with tears in my eyes. Your mom reminds me of my mom so much and the relationship we had, it opened up a door of remembering the good times and all the fun we had and how much I cherished every moment even the last year watching and trying to take care of her as she dealt with cancer, then her getting sicker and sicker faster then anyone could imagine. I love and loved her so much and will cherish and love every moments even in the last days when she couldn't tell me anything but how proud she was of me. Thank you Gus, for everything. Please give your mom the biggest hug for me.

I do know that people have the right to stop supporting Gus, but those people should also stop harassing him in every freaking comment section. Move on already. Glass houses and what not. It's been a couple days and I keep thinking about this video man... It hit me kinda hard how when you said "things aren't so bad in god's country" ... The last couple years have been rough on all of us for a lot of different reasons and that idea of being back "home" where life used to be good, before we grew up and took on adult response responsibilities and adult problems that sometimes don't have solutions. Just being back at my parent's cabin in Webster, riding the boat around with my brother on a weekend... Back before politics drove people apart and the pandemic isolated us. Sometimes I wish I could go back to that place, but it doesn't really exist anymore. Love your videos man, sorry you've been having a rough time lately.

I wasn't sure how to feel about the whole Gus business for awhile. I will say that while I don't agree with his prior actions I know people fuck up and things happen. When Gus's mom started crying it genuinely made me realize that there is obviously a lot that we don't know, and while Gus could literally cure cancer or solve world hunger the internet will still be hard on him because he was human at one point and messed up. Gus, I know it probably doesn't mean much but I support your new growth. I hope you and your family are well because you can tell they're just good people in God's country just trying to keep their kids in a happy and safe environment. Here's to new beginnings.

Gus, I went through a very terrible breakup recently, and have had to deal with a lot of loss other than that. In the wake of that I started watching your videos and they made me feel better. Then i heard about what happened recently, and to be honest I was disappointed in you, but i still watched. Something I’ve learned through a breakup is we always have stuff we need to work on and sometimes we think we know what we’re doing and then we find out we didn’t know much of anything. We grow, we learn, we make mistakes, and we improve. When I got to the end of this video I couldn’t help but cry with you.. I think we all know what it’s like to make a mistake and do something we’re not proud of and then get treated like we’re monsters because of it. If we were here to be perfect then what the fuck is the point of being here and going each of our individual journeys? People close to me have done me horribly wrong and I’ve still found the inner peace to forgive them and move forward.

I made a comment on Sabrina's video talking about how I was shocked that Gus would do what he did. This is not to say what Gus did wasn't wrong, or a major lapse in judgement as I truly believe. However I should say that the reaction to Gus for the longest time I thought was too harsh and not necessary, Gus has been one of those creators who listens to criticism and tries his best to be the best influencer he can be. I'm sure he felt the disappointment, so there was no need to attack or harass him during these times. Again, this is not to say what he did wasn't wrong, but to see his most recent content filled with comments filled with threats and constant emotional/mental attacks towards his character is so sad to see, especially since we don't know what happens behind the camers, we don't know exactly what Gus' mom is thinking when she broke down, we know like a 1/3 of the situation but the comments try to assume 100% of the story. Gus isn't Austin Jones, Gus isn't a criminal doing unspeakable things. He is a person who messed up in a major way in a relationship, but yet the comments and people online equate him to that level. I hold a mantra that I try to live by; You never hate people, you hate the actions that they take. And the great thing about that is that it leaves you room for forgiveness, an action is bad but the person was led astray by it. Overall I am here for you Gus, just as I stick by what I originally said and condemn the action that you took. These things aren't mutually exclusive. You have a good heart, you truly do, don't let this negativity cause you to do more bad actions. I'm here for you 💚

I lost my grandpa on the 8th. He was like a father to me and my 5 siblings. There is a hole in the family that will never be filled. We are also from God's Country Wisconsin. The last two years my grandpa use to say you should always go through life with "A smile on your face, a twinkle in your eye, and a song in your heart" and my grandma who passed in 2014 always said "it's nice to be nice to the nice" I among many others know people make mistakes and nobody is perfect Gus. We love you.
