Thwm were the days, no death timers only like 5 minutes to fet your stuff. Going bandos in basicaly rag and 4 good items to tey and get kills in groups of 5 or 6, getting rassies was god like but took so long to sell back then too with no ge and plenty of scammers

I remember being in Lummy and seeing a guy in full dharok walking near the general store. The massive axe and the strange colour of the armour confused me as all I knew was bronze to rune, and I’d maybe seen some people with the occasional dragon item. When I asked him and he told me it was the next tier above dragon it blew my mind. It became my goal to get the levels for the armour one day. Last year I got my first Torva piece from Nex (platebody). How times have changed. I still think dharok is the coolest looking set.

I was lvl 80 combat with d scim, d long and dds as my bank. I was woodcutting to 99 wc saving up for dragon axe which was like 3.5mil. Didn't have the gear or stats to do GWD day 1... took me a couple years. Holding a Godsword those days meant you were rich af.

I remember world 1-2 varrock West Bank was the “GE” scamming rune scim trades with iron, free trim. I remember pking with my group and got update forced log, to log back in and not be able to attack anybody was a trip. Didn’t read any update and just scoped around wildly, stumbled upon C-wars close to the Hill giant and ghost spawn, also salamander spawn at varrock wild, and just confused at everything. BH release ruined my experience, I was into massive clan pk’ing it was big at the time my Clan GPZ (Golden PkerZ) then the community ended up making BH pking somewhat worth it but at the end of the day. I felt like that was the update that ruined RuneScape in general

I started doing godwars dungeon in early 2008 so I was late to the party but the coinshare masses were so much fun. A tasset would drop and everyone would get their split of the loot in instant gp. It was amazing times.
