hey, sis! There is a typo on the verses coming out of Genesis 16. It's Genesis 16:13 **, not verse 33. sorry about that! okay, now let's chat! i know this video and topic is a bit heavier but i pray you feel seen. heard, and less alone as I shared my own struggles through seasons of suffering and that you're able to be more aware of God's presence with you, always. so with that in mind, today's question: what is 1 promise of God that you hold onto during your seasons of stretching/ suffering? for me: honestly, all 5 that i shared today are ones i learned to recognize and hold onto. i know firsthand that it's not easy to feel the pain and speak these truths over yourself when they feel contradictory to reality but let's commit ourselves to living a faith OVER our feelings life w/ the Lord. love you!!!

Knowing that Jesus saved me from myself (prostitution, stripping, addictions, rejection and abandonment etc.) Keeps me going. Why would someone save someone like me? Who is rejected and looked at as worthy of nothing to others in society. The lowly of all. But Jesus seen me as a cornerstone just like Him. ❤ He reminds me nothing is wasted & allowed me to be rejected just like He was/is so I can truly understand why He does, did, and keeps doing what He says He will do.

One of the promises I hold onto is Ephesians 3:20 - God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think according to the power that worketh in you. This verse reminds me that before, during and after my suffering, God can create a solution better than I could ever conceive contingent upon my willingness to tap into the Power, the Holy Spirit, and faith God has placed within me. Needed this today. I just left a job interview. I truly want the position really bad. I think it would be really good for me and them. I think it went ok, but I'm questioning myself cause I couldn't really tell what she was thinking. She said she had a few more interviews to do and I'll know in a week or two. When I go through suffering it’s like I forget everything I’ve learned about Christ and his promises. But one thing I’ve been hanging onto lately is 2 chronicles 20 12” I don’t know what to do, but my eyes are on you”. A promise that keeps me in such seasons is just being reminded that he is always with me and that he will never leave me (Deuteronomy 31:6) I’m now starting to hold onto this with also realizing who God is, and who he is won’t leave me… so in this case wisdom won’t leave me, knowledge won’t leave me, peace won’t leave me, light won’t leave me, truth won’t leave me, love won’t leave me, comfort won’t leave me, his power won’t leave me hanging it’ll be right there with me and for me to see a thing through whether it be a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual battle.. he won’t leave me and all of who he is and what he has is with me. He is an abundant God and all things are his so I also don’t have to worry about lack. I got all I need spiritually emotionally financially and physically. He is a good father and he knows it’s his job to care for his children, he won’t slack ever. He can’t go against who he is so I can rest with more expectation and joy when I dwell on this promise. ❤

Twice in my life, I cried out to TMH, and He made my mother-in law’s tongue (snake plant) bloom white flowers that gave off a magnificent smell! A sign that He was with me, comforting. I’m in a suffering season now, but He is faithful.

1 Peter 5:7 casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you ❤ shows me that those things big small and in between that I care about God cares too. Love to come back to this scripture when I need that reassurance. Whatever we face God is there to meet us there to care too. I am in a time of suffering and wouldn’t feel the gift of peace, love and clarity without the Lord. Starting to memorize Bible verses have given me something to cling to in these times. I’m so grateful for Jesus and his suffering. I certainly have reflected on how I can improve my support and offering of comfort when others are in hardship. So happy to see there’s a related verse. I’m currently in this season and it has been hard! I’ve gone through the roller coaster of emotions time & time again, but this video reminded me of the truth of God’s Word. Sometimes it's the most unexpected people 😅 People I have had MAJOR issues with in the past who have hurt me in some way or another, have now become my sisters that I take care of. Please pray for me. I am in a valley in my career that constantly delivers blows to undermine my confidence and contributions. I cannot lie, despite knowing God, I have felt alone. I have cried out “why”…but I’m trying to hold on His promises. I’m trying to find praise and even joy in the midst of this pain. It’s been really hard. This word encouraged my heart. Thank you. Praying for you sis! I had a work situation where I had been trying to leave for 2 solid years. Interview after interview and then nothing. One night I was praying and crying out to God “why Lord, why can’t I leave this job?!” I honestly hated it, and it had become a situation of more bad than good, very stressful and overall a miserable place. Do you know the next morning (a Friday) we were informed by an impromptu visit from our Regional Director that our office was being closed and we were being laid off! It was the best news I could have heard! I was planning to put in a 2-week notice, enjoy counting down the days til I was out of there to start a new job, take a week off in between jobs. But God had an even better plan for me! I ended up being out of work for an entire year! God provided more during my unemployment than he had in any of my jobs! I had so much peace, I was able to be there for my mom when she was sick in the hospital for 2 weeks. So many things about that time were beautifully orchestrated by God! It all started with me crying out to Him and he answered me so sweetly over that next year. I had to be at that job til that very day to get severance (a paid vacation), to be out of work when I needed to be available for my mom, etc. Sorry for the long comment, but I a hope this encourages you to keep talking to God about your cares, desires, frustrations, etc. He is the God who sees you, El Roi. He is faithful, El Emunah. Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Call to him sis, he will answer ❤

@@DanyellBordeaux From the very depths of my heart, thank you for your response. God is all knowing and it was definitely His divine urging that had you respond to my comment. I needed your kind and reassuring word sis. Everything you describe is what I’m experiencing at my job. This also started when I needed to take time off to care for my mom last year and was supported in words only but undermined, maligned and betrayed during the time I was gone. Even those that I considered not just co-workers, but friends lied on me during the time I was gone caring for my mom. They were even overheard saying “they were going to take me down”. Silly me, I thought my unblemished reputation and years of productivity, leadership and excellent performance would shield me from their deception and attacks. Surely, HR and my department would see through the lies…but NO! After much pain and suffering my mom, (a strong and faithful child of the King) went home to be with the Lord on September 2nd. When I returned to work it was hell. I have (and I am) enduring so much mistreatment and disrespect, but reading your testimony has thrown me a lifeline to stay the course, continuing to cry out to the Lord, try my best to have faith and praise Him enduring this affliction and watch God fix it. Thank you again sis. I pray that God will show me mercy and in His timing, I will find relief, peace, and new opportunities, as you did. Please continue to pray for me. I will also pray for you. I hope your mom is recovered and well. Bless you and your family. 🩷

One promise from God that I hold on to is: 4) God Will Comfort us in our suffering and we will be able to comfort others. I have been through various trials this past month. Trials where I retreat to my war room and call on our Heavenly Father! People needing comfort, most times,presents itself at a bad time. I always push my pain aside and comfort others who are hurting. Guess what? I always feel better when I'm done, always! Helping someone through theur pain you are inadvertently Helping yourself by speaking of God's goodness and grace, mercy, favor, and kindness. It's a WIN/WIN!!!

Melody, you are loving and kind in your messages ❤ God has increased your wisdom and anointing to give His good news. Thank you for being a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, you are changing lives with your work. One promise I hold onto is Romans 15:13, for others and myself. The Holy Spirit has been leading me through the dangers of choosing hopelessness over hope, and how hopelessness makes people stop stewarding the blessings of life He gives, which leads to yielding to the enemy instead of our faithful Father. Even more, as you beautifully said, this season has been teaching me the absolute beauty in knowing that God cares, His compassions never fail even when anyone else would have given up on us. Hi sisters, The Lords promises are awesome and it’s wonderful that we walk with the God and maker of heaven and earth! One promise that gets me through these times of suffering is the promise that The Lord is faithful, He never leaves us or forsakes us. and that He goes before us! He is The Lord ! When we long to hear from God but He is quiet, I remember the book of James and how it says that the testing of our faith produces patience! and the book of 1Peter that says after suffering for a while He will exalt us in due time! Keep fighting women of God, our Father is with us every step of the way guiding us through the valley of shadow and death! Hallelujah 🎉

Love the video Melody, its right on time & his promises is what I needed to be reminded of in this new season. A promise from God that I hold near to me is that he promised to never leave nor forsaken me- Deuteronomy 31:9. That scripture keeps me grounded in knowing nothing is to hard for my God, knowing that he sees me, he still loves me & he’s with me in the midst of each storm.

Loved this video! It was so timely, so thankful to the Lord for your continue obedience to the Lord, Melody! A verse that has helped me throughout my season of suffering is Deuteronomy 31:6, Be strong and courageous; don't be afraid. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you." So encouraging to know that even in the suffering God has already gone before me, and He will remain with me.

Psalm 37:4 delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart, I hold onto this one because I truly do delight in him, I’m always wanting to learn more about God and spend time with him, and when I start to worry about xy&z I am reminded now, are you delighting in him as much as you should? And if so why are you worried, if not then get in his presence. Right now I’m in a season that so many things are piling up on me and I know another thing about God, he will never leave or forsake us, he will not embarrass us. So when I am doing a new thing I can trust that God will not allow me to be embarrassed! When I remember that it gives me reassurance that God will equip the appointed, another promise❤️. A promise of God that I go back to is that He will provide (Philippians, 4:19). I hold onto this promise to know that He will provide to my deepest needs (stable mental health, mended heart and a peace that only Him can provide)

Your videos be on time like seriously 🥹😳 thank you I mean it wholeheartedly. One promise I have been holding on to is that God works things together for the good for those who love him and are called according to his purposes. Also, more recently I’ve been leaning in that verse talkin bout we are citizens of Heaven. I’m trynna get back there and have been telling God that more consistently lol. Lastly, I hold onto the fact that He said we are the light of the world, cities on hilltops, and the salt of the Earth. In one way or another I always find a way to weave that into my prayers.
