It's hardly any wonder you reacted as you did! There are several things you got wrong (through no fault of your own). 1st, you are meant to butter the toast before applying the Marmite. 2nd, you are meant to put a THIN scraping of Marmite on it. 3rd, it's always better with a big pot of tea to guzzle with it. 4th, and most importantly, you are meant to be given it as a little baby when you will grow to love it with a passion that will last for the rest of your life 5th, if helps if you're British! If all these points are adhered to, I guarantee that with the odd exception, you will LOVE Marmite!!
