What's up Pete! I have no clue if you remember me. My name is Chris Taylor and I went to school with you in 4th and 5th grade at Hawthorn in Cape Girardeau. I spent the night with you once when you lived in Ashland Estates and we watched Friday the 13th part 4. Hahaha! Anyway, I don't do Facebook so I just wanted to say hello and that I'm glad to see you're doing so well.

Calling myself a beginner is being to kind to myself. I simply want to become a beginner. I've been watching and reading to learn as much about electrics (which I definitely know is my preference) for about a year. As a pure listener, over the years, I've concluded the tone I like best is the ES 335, although the 345's smaller body would be a better physical fit for me I think. However, paying for an American made Gibson seems like a steep ask on price since I don't know how to play! I learned about Godins because of their piezoelectric pickup guitars, but I really want a semi-hollow, ES style (partly because I love Noel Gallagher's playing). I also know I want a fixed bridge because I don't want to have to retune constantly while I'm simply learning to be a beginner. I'm writing because, as an experienced gigging musician, I'd like your opinion on whether this model would be a good model for a beginner to learn the rudiments of guitar playing? Cheers.

Took a chance and ordered this guitar without trying it. Should get it soon! Hoping the new Seymour Duncan's sound just as good as these custom pickups. Im also using it to mostly play blues.

Got one, too. I chose the P90's and the Bigsby. Love it!! That makes for 3 Godin's in my stable ... all great instruments.

How is the higher fret access in this? I have an ES-175 which has a similar cut, but obviously thicker and I much prefer a ES-335 type of double cut to play higher up. But I have never played a single cut thinline ES-135 type like this guitar. I have been thinking about getting a Montreal. But not sure I can get along with that shape. I play lead. Another thing I don't like is the 2 knobs system. Never understood why companies do this to 2 pickups guitars. Can't be to save money as it probably saves them 2 dollars. But one can modify it to 4 knobs and this is what I must do if I get one. By the way, is it ES-339 sized? it doesn't look ES-335 sized.

seems like a very Interesting axe, sounds great. Cool guitar and amplifier! Love that thinline single cut look. would be cool to try one out! but a floating bridge wouldnt be a problem, I like mine floating, but I bet that bridge works great for what it worth. Interesting gear, thanks for posting some tasty playing.

Turn off the reverb so we can hear what the guitar really sounds like. Appreciate the video, but we're hearing your amp, not the guitar.
