Godinho's third rule in the Double Sword section of his "Arte de Esgrima" (1599). Combinations of cuts - as well as thrusts and cuts - to make several opponents retreat. Also advice on fighting opponents equiped with rodelas (round shields). Includes the rule text in both original language - slightly adapted - and English. Featuring Moncho Varela as the double sword practicioner of Academia da Espada, and his twin blades as his weapons of choice.

What is the benefit of stepping with the same side foot that the swords are held each time? It feels a bit more comfortable to step to the opposing direction each time for me.
