The extension pole on the SmallRig could be handy for some people, but I don’t like the way it looks on camera. This looks more like a normal microphone.
Looks quite reasonable. As everyone has said, small rig handle looks awful and very amateurish. This seems like it will do the job well. Thank you for making the video!
All working out pretty well. Sometimes in extremely busy environments (like at a trade show, with wifi, mobile phones, and other equipment everywhere), there seems to be a bit of an odd effect which sounds a bit like clipping. The workaround is to use the inbuilt recorders in the transmitters; that clean file can then be synced with the video track. An extra step in the workflow but not a big deal and it's nice to have that backup.
Hey, sorry for the slow reply... for some reason I haven't been getting comment notifications. The outside is around 75mm tall by 60mm wide, and the inside is... about the right size for a Godox or DJI mic transmitter. I agree with you about the logos - I just blacked mine out with a sharpie, and it's near invisible to the camera now.
