The rods will line up to the seams perfectly when you do it properly. This was not done correctly in the video. The pockets the rods go into are a huge pain for disassembly. The pocket edges are folded over, which locks the rod caps by their edges into the pockets. Very poorly thought out. Spend the extra on a softbox with hinged rods if you need to be fast. You can grind the rod cap edges round, or cut the edge off the pockets to speed things a little. I replaced the confusing numbers on the Bowens mount with my own corresponding letters on the back in marker.
