My friend is an amateur mma fighter and at the last fight he used this song for his entrance. It was brutally motivational, for the opponent, because he beat the hell up my friend
I used to watch my brother play it. He didnt let me play back then. Sometime after i played it myself. One of the most unforgettable games ever. I wish we get another game from ubisoft.
My dad found Godsmack during his divorce with my little brothers mom that cheated on him and he went into a deep depression. It really spoke to him, and got him through a lot and he became a huge fan. So much so he even got the Godsmack sun tattooed on him lol. That was also the first concert I ever went to and it was with my dad of course. It was Shinedown, Rob Zombie and Godsmack. They all were great but Godsmack was incredible. I still love them and I’m thankful to their music for helping my dad work through his heartbreak.
i love it when i get lost in youtube , i get to rediscover long lost songs that i used to listen to when i was a kid but have no idea who or what song was it
It his different when you scream “I STAND ALONE” with pure rage and determination to make a better like for yourself bc your the only one who can and will love you for who your are!! ❤
God smack was apparently my dads favourite band. He died when I was 12. I am 20 now and have been listening to this band recently and I can see why he loved them
I ve been dreaming playing this song on on a guitar for my entire life. Always dreaming myself playing this but never took the guitar to learn how to play it. after 20 years, I decided to learn guitar. And today - today is the day I played this song perfectly. I can't believe I played this song perfectly !
Godsmack is like a damn fine wine, gets better & better every few years I put them back on. the drumming, the bass fills, the stoner-esque guitar riffs and that fucking VOICE man, that fucking voice is where it's AT!
Once upon a time a wise man once said "When your happy you enjoy the melody... But when your broken you understand the lyrics"..... This holds true to this day💯
United and all commentors I wouldn't say it's better to be broken but I can admit my smart little mouth needed some life lessons and boy did I have some teachers. Thinking so if I can dig the melody AND I know the lyrics could that mean I am broken AND I am back!!
Something inside me It's, it's coming out I feel like killing you Let loose the anger, held back too long My blood runs cold Through my anatomy, dwells another being Rooted in my cortex, a servant to its bidding Brutality now becomes my appetite Violence is now a way of life The sledge's my tool to torture As it pounds down on your forehead Eyes bulging from their sockets With every swing of my mallet I smash your fucking head in, until brains seep in Through the cracks, blood does leak Distorted beauty, catastrophe Steaming slop, splattered all over me Lifeless body, slouching dead Lecherous abscess, where you once had a head Avoiding the prophecy of my new found lust You will never live again, soon your life will end I'll see you die at my feet, eternally I smash your face Facial bones collapse as I crack your skull in half Crushing... cranial... contents Draining the snot, I rip out the eyes Squeezing them in my hands nerves are incised Peeling the flesh off the bottom of my weapon Involuntarily pulpifying facial regions Suffer, and then you die Torture, pulverized At one with my sixth sense, I feel free To kill as I please, no one can stop me Created to kill, the carnage continues Violently reshaping human facial tissue Brutality becomes my appetite Violence is now a way of life The sledge's my tool to torture As it pounds down on your forehead
Well he isn't running away, he heard my daughter his Mom play some Godsmack in her car the other day, he's all who's this Mom?... I really like it-Ohhh this is one of Gramma's favorites forever she tells him and me and your uncle grew up listening and loving it too... So I came looking the other day to share and I came looking for this video to share with him bc he also loves cool movies. Cool kids
I'm about to be 30. 😢 I was about 10 when this came out and when I got to middle school my best friend was obsessed with Godsmack. She had a temporary tattoo that looked like the bands emblem 😅. Love this song.
This was one of my father's favourite songs. I have a lot of memories of him repeatedly playing this song as loud as he could in the car. He passed away two years ago and now, this awesome song makes me nostalgic and brings a smile to my face.
Playing the trilogy for the first time but I ended up getting the bad ending to warrior within so I’m replaying it then I’m on to two thrones. Favorite trilogy in gaming without a doubt and haven’t even played the third one
No more PoP because of AC.. but there is a hope.. see the Origins and the Odyssey? Those are not totally ACs.. they are different.. so maybe.. they Will made for us a new PoP in the next 5 years.. AC Will die soon so they Will need a newer thing and that Will be the PoP ;) (sorry for my English)
Bro. Couple this with Dahaka chasing you ! The nostalgia!! If i'm not wrong I think Warrior Within got me into metal in the first place ! That main menu backgroud score had me hooked. I was 10 or 12 then !
And it was the first time I sat at the end of the game and fully watched the credits. And I even did it a couple of times more The reason for it was that they played Godsmack - Straight out of line during the credits
First heard it on a god of war tribute when I was about 12, I looked the tribute up and the videos still there from 13 years ago, great times great games
Once when i was little i was playing pop ww and at the end of the chase the fucking dahaka glitched through the fucking waterfall, nevertheless i scramed like a little bitch
I like that you're implying you know something about the end of "our" human times...come on please do tell. In the meantime, I'll be jamming to Godsmack...love Sully's baritone voice!!
Teacher: "Why does the group assignment only has your name in credits?" Me, who had to do the assignment alone because I was surrounded by traitors: "III!! STAND ALONEE!!"
"Many believe that time is a river that flows safely and swiftly in one direction ... but I have seen the face of time and I assure you that it is not so. The time is an ocean in the storm"-The Prince of Persia.
Time is literally Saturn ...or Kronos... The river you speak of ciundnt posibley be time you fucktard ! The flowing river is consciousness flowing merging into one single source of energy. If time did not exist would the river still flow..?.... you find your answer there ...seeker...

This song reminds me of childhood. Heard it first while playing Prince of Persia: Warrior Within in some extra materials in the game, listening to metal for ever since
"I Stand Alone" had two Grammy nominations for 'Best Rock Song' and, 'Best Hard Rock Performance' respectively. This song served as a single from the Scorpion King soundtrack on March 5, 2002. It would reappear on Godsmack's third studio album, Faceless, the following year. It won a 2002 Metal Edge Readers' Choice Award for "Song of the Year From a Movie Soundtrack." "I Stand Alone" reached No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock chart and No. 20 on the Modern Rock chart in the US. The single achieved Gold certification for more than half million copies shipped in the United States, spurring sales of over 1.5 million copies for Faceless and propelling Godsmack to worldwide popularity. In an interview with him, Sully Erna said that the group's two Grammy Award nominations took the band by surprise, because they didn't release an album in 2002. "It did take us by surprise, because we've been so busy working on the new record and things like that, we didn't even think about," Erna said. "2002 was kind of a wash for us, except for that one track. It served its purpose. It kept us afloat the whole time we were down working on the new album and stuff, so...but now that it's soaking in I'm like, I'm pretty excited that we just got nominated for a couple. Whether we take it, or whether we don't, it's still...Someone recognized us for the hard work we've done." Also, Erna admits that the band was pretty excited because they were nominated in a rock category. "It was definitely a surprise being nominated again," Erna said. "The first year, I don't even know why we were nominated, because we were in a category with Joe Satriani and these other guys for best instrumental performance. And the instrumental that we had on our record was an accident, so that was pretty bizarre to be nominated for that. But this year we're pretty excited because we consider ourselves a rock band and we're in a rock category." "The song was written about the character, the Scorpion King, in the movie," Erna explained on the set of the accompanying video. "It's about him being this big, masculine badass, but he has this hidden sensitive side to him. He feels like he's isolated, and he likes to do things alone because he was hurt in the past or whatever. I don't really know why he is the way he is. I guess there's always this mystique about those people who are really tough but maybe feel a little bit lonely inside. So the lyrics are kind of based on his character - being as masculine as he can be but yet isolated and a loner." "I Stand Alone" features a chugging main riff enhanced by textural, single-note guitar lines and powerful, melodic vocals. The song starts with a lunging beat and a guitar riff that shifts between a low, rumbling buzz and an eerie series of notes much higher up the fretboard. Then, for the verse, the song locks into a crunching, percussive riff reminiscent of Metallica before kicking back into the eerie opening passage with Sully Erna scream-singing the song's title and the lines "I'm not afraid of fading/ Feeling your sting down inside of me/ I'm not dying for it." During the midsection of the song, the music turns creepy and atmospheric, and the singer moans, "It's my time to dream/ Dream of the skies/ Make me believe that this place isn't made by the poison in me/ Help me decide if my fire will burn out before you can breathe." "I Stand Alone" was written by Sully Erna and produced by Mudrock. Erna elaborated on how the song was created: "I had a little bit of time before we started writing the new album. And it turned out that The Scorpion King director Chuck Russell was a fan of Godsmack and wanted to use our song "Voodoo" in the movie. Because the song was a little dated, he wanted me to redo it, and I wasn't really up for that. Instead I submitted some new music I had written 'I Stand Alone'. Once we were working together, he leaned on me a little bit to help him find some of the best up-and-coming bands." In terms of production, Robbie Merrill stated that Mudrock managed to bring Sully to another level with his vocal range and trying different ideas that the band wouldn't have tried in the past. They wanted to give the producer a chance and it worked out well.
