This video is 150W 1390 (4*3) CO2 laser cutting machine for test cutting 17mm plywood before shipping to clients.

* Yongli-150W (A6s);
* YAKO 3phase 57 stepper motors + Drivers;
* PMI Linear Rail + ONK Belt;
* IIVI ZnSe lens + SI reflect mirrors;
* Blade working table;
* S&A CW5200 water chiller;
* 550W Exhaust fan + air compressor;
* Red dot + schneider breaker;
* Goggle + User Manual book + Tools box;
Option config:
RECI brand tube or RF metal tube;
Panasonic servo motor + TBI Ballscrew;
Smoke purifer;
Motorized up down table + auto focus;

6mm/s, so why you can cut 17mm Wood ;-) The less speed you have, the more you can cut. For ex, cutting 3mm MDF can be done @ 90/80% power and 100mm/s. For wood, the density requires more power to go throught in one pass, so you have to slow down like here ate low speeds. 90/80% power and 6mm/s is not a bad deal at all.

it is possible with a larger focus lenght lens, they are better for thick materials because keeps a smaller light cone due its larger focus lenght but tendo to leave a larger "line", smaller focus point lens are better, faster an more clean for thinner materials

Does the bed move up and down or do you focus by moving the laser head tube?

@Tyler Harney machine without motorized up dwon table, laser head is manual adjust focus distance. Machine can option motorized up down table and auto focus functions ( different client prefer different config).
