I disagree about the leg criticism. Had someone in discord shown a comparison between a film still and the figure and it seems pretty accurate

Kinda glad that Monsterarts and Hiya chose different suits of the 91 film to represent. Justifies having both, at least for people that love collecting Heisei stuff huehue

God, look at that tail articulation! And this 91 Godzilla has extra hands! They’ve definitely upped their game.

Let's remember that the s.h. monsterarts is supposed to be the other godzilla suit when fighting Mecha king ghidorah at the end of the movie. Instead the Hiya is representing the original Godzilla 1991 suit, so for sure there are going to be some differences.

I've never gotten a Godzilla figure before, but I want to start a collection. I'm pretty young and have always wanted Hiya to make a heisei goji. NOW THEY RELEASED IMAGES AND MY BIRTHDAYBIS IN 4 DAYS LESGOOOOO.

The NUMBER 1 Godzilla figure I want to see HIYA tackle is the 1973/1974 Godzilla. That might be my second favorite classic design just because of the super expressive face, I dunno, that guy is just so lovable. Also, the legs are perfectly fine. They've always been extra thick.

Hate to break it to ya heisei has always been that chunky in the legs but the hiya at this point is superior to Sh monsterarts from price to quality I can’t say I would spend money on a Sh monsterarts too expensive and the quality has just gone down the drain just not worth it

This looks 5x better, more accurate than that SHitty MonsterArts version.

Will some toy company give me an articulated 6 to 7 inch scale 84 Godzilla apart from NECA which was fine for time. Seriously we've had so many Heisei or monsterverse versions let's get some Godzilla 98, or Showa era figures. Hell give me god(Zilla) 98 at this point while not a good Godzilla movie it's a unique design, one I'd like in figure form. Seriously Sh MonsterArts or any other toy company where is Angirus?

I hope we have a movie accurate version of Godzilla 2000 from Hiya.

Hopefully we get a final wars to replace the SH Monsterarts one. Definitely one of the worst in my collection

This is absolutely amazing! I really hope they can get to Megaro and Final Goji someday, those are my two personal favorites that never got (good) figures besides Bandai Vinyls and 30CM fellas (I know Monsterarts gave us Fina Goji but that loose mess was not worth anything especially without a beam for $95)

There are so many Godzilla designs I've been curious to see Hiya do, now I know that they can do them justice

The more I look at the 1991 Hokkaido suit, the less I like it. And Hokkaido is more sought after than the 1991 Shinjuku. Hokkaido looks too much like the 1992, 1993, and 1994 suits but with a less pronounced neck lines. It’s the blueprint of BatoGoji (1992) as they used the same suit but with slight modifications. I think it still looks pretty good but I prefer the skinnier neck and thighs from 1989. I now believe 1989 is the definitive Japanese Toho design. They used two different suits for both 1989 and 1991, one for land and sea. I’m aware the Shinjuku suit is a modded 1989 suit with a wider and flatter head while the Hokkaido one was stolen and damaged prior only to be fixed to become BatoGoji (1992). I think the coloring for this Hiya is slightly off with his eyes and skin but the sculpt is pretty great with the exception of the dorsal plates looking rather small. But it’s tough to see from that angle and many times the figures can look much better in person than in photos and videos. My Hiya KOTM G looked much better in person. Who knows? I might still get this. I’m very happy with my Hiya GvK Exquisite Basic Revised DougheGoji already. My Art Spirits Hyper Solid Series Kong 2021 is nearly at a perfect scale to my Hiya G21. If I get this 1991 Hokkaido, I’m not sure where to put it as I lack space on top of this small drawer where my G21 and K21 occupies it. Then I have a 3.5” Art Spirits G89 that pretty much looks the same as SHMA’s G91 Shinjuku but I got it $60 cheaper. I feel I have all the Godzilla ones covered as I really only like the 1989/1991 and 2019/2021 designs. The 1962 face looks derpy. The 1964 G was losing to a giant female moth and G64 had the best Showa design to me. Perhaps the only Godzilla design I wouldn’t mind getting is Minus One. The problem is MinusGoji is only 164 feet. I want it to match scale with my G21 who stands at 393-394 feet. MinusGoji would need to be only 3”. I doubt Hiya would make a figure that small. Best bet would be Art Spirits or a Gashapon but the latter lacks articulation. Godzilla (2021) = 393 feet Kong (2021) = 337 feet Godzilla (1991) = 328 feet Godzilla (1989) = 262 feet Godzilla (2023) = 164 feet Hiya G21 = 7 inch Hiya G91 = 7.1 inch Doesn’t scale properly. Hiya G91 should be 6.3” like SHMA’s G91. Should be slightly shorter than GvK Kong but it’s taller than GvK Godzilla. I do like the 1991 suits but only the SHMA Shinjuku scales properly. I guess I’m good with my G21, K21, and then I can move my G89 to set on different furniture around the house since it’s so small. Between my G21 or K21, I think I like my Kong slightly more because my Hiya G21 is more of a toy with all the joints, but I’m more into statue figures. Hiya and SHMA toy figures are better for folks who enjoy making stop motion videos. I’ll give this one a B+ so far. If you like BatoGoji and RadoGoji, get it as it looks practically the same as them. But you know which figure do I really want? Skar King. I’m hearing he stands at 400 feet. He’s taller than the Big G. I think he looks cooler than Shimo but I’m reading Shimo is way more powerful. Skar King has this swag to him that I like. Skar King is going to whoop Kong’s ass early in the movie but Kong will get his revenge. I already own Team Godzilla and Team Kong hats I ordered from Redbubble. Now I want merch for that tall, lanky orangutan named Skar King. He looks like a cross between King Louie 🦧 in live action The Jungle Book (2016) with Kubo from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014). I’m all about Skar King. Put that guy right next to your Godzilla and Kong figures. GxK is going to be lit when Godzilla, Kong, Skar King, and Shimo fight. It’s our kaiju Wrestlemania. It’s MonsterVerse’s version of Super Smash Bros.

91's legs and thighs were pretty big on the suit. Thats how its supposed to be m8

And I do not remember the head is to flat in my opinion. I comparison the suit and the figure and both of the head are different. 🤷

Yo Luminous and Gforever!!! I will say this, wow this figure looks amazing from Hiya and to see it for only 50 bucks is simply amazing!!! It looks nice and the proportions looks close to the movie, impressive. Definitely will pick this one up!!!

Face is a little off and he’s definitely a little too skinny, but he’s otherwise really good.
