I mean there's actors who live as their characters to make it more believable for them. But growing into a suit and having it adhere to your skin? that's going a lil too far and thinking of yourself as a god? Hell no. . This is actually a real nice nod to the traditional Godzilla cuz it's liked an extremely fucked up version of the original story. Godzilla as a story was about a monster created by radioactive activity that's been dropped into an atoll. The same kind of radioactive energy that not only liquified and mutated the human inside the suit into a literal monster, but also shaped his mind into one as well. It's also horrifying that The Man in the Suit *believes* he is Godzilla as he expresses how he kills to avenge nature for all the terrible things we've done to it as humans (I mean, he's not wrong XD) in one of the tapes, bringing the full circle of a fake monster turned into a real one (why I also like Greylock so much, minsters that are literally based in and made of your nightmares). My theory is that the man in the suit found some sort of drug made by scientists that was originally meant to make humans stronger, but failed horribly. When the man in the suit took the drug he got back into the suit and then the side effects began, he grew into the suit and then he couldn’t escape
