Godzilla fans after the GXK Trailer in a nutshell: 

It's not the fact that it's goofy, it's the fact that it's goofy and looks like SH*T Godzilla designs and movement is a prime example. The CGI at the start of the trailer looks good but at the middle to end it looks like a rainbow coloured mess.

Pretty much said it perfectly. I I like serious tone Godzilla films but at the same time I like the mindless action ones too. Sure GxK is gonna have some flaws but overall your pretty much there for the action. Idk why fans can appreciate that we are eating good rn

I watched this trailer and geeked and love the serious tone stuff lol Its been awesome seeing godzilla have more agrresive and eratic movement and running, we literally never ever seen him like this, so just fucking chillax and go be a fan somewhere else if it bothers you that much we godzilla fans are gonna eat this shiiit up cause he looks fuckking amazing and i can't wait for this movie.

To be fair, ishiro Honda didn't direct godzilla vs megalon (which is the film you're reffering to), the last godzilla film ishiro Honda directed was terror of mechagodzilla. If anything, the few kid appealed showa films Honda did direct were mostly a nice balance of being campy and a little serious from time to time but still campy. The worst film he did direct was godzilla's revenge

Because starting from Godzilla (2014), while not a perfect film provides a serious tone which is to be expected among the other films. When you begin to become more loose with a tone by allowing dumb action it then destroys any rules within the universe therefore believability and credibility the work had. There's now a divide between fans which is why there is arguments. I am not of the crowd that says you should not have fun with a film but problems arise when those argue against viable points made by either side which are objective events within the film whatever that may be. Taking something like Godzilla and making a goofball starting off a trilogy or whole series of films is fine but imagine if after GxK we got a bloody, horrific film that would confuse everyone and would be just as bad if it was written poorly. Just like with Godzilla (2014) and all the way to GvK and now GxK it asks so many questions is to how we got to this point of breaking continuities and rules within the world. For example, Godzilla being able to sense monsters across the globe due to him being an alpha as revealed to us in both KOTM and Dominion, but in GvK he doesn't finish off Kong during the sea battle because lights and engines to the ships are turned off. Godzilla shouldn't care for artificial things nor should he sense them, otherwise he'd sense them across the globe as well and probably destroy them as they aren't bowing down to him as he wants with any monster, etcetera. Kong being awake just about breaks any argument against mine because Godzilla should absolutely sense him at that point. And if he knows he is up but simply hopes he conceded then throughout the entire movie he probably shouldn't be trying to outright kill him with his atomic breath as that would instantly kill him. He should be using tactics like brute force if it means he won't be killed in the process. This is all important, because in G14 Godzilla used critical thinking to defeat the MUTOs while he was alone with them meaning he is a capable and smart creature to put together two and two to solve his problems. He now is so imprecise with his attacks as if he is now a big dumb monster. Where did this come to be and why? If the next argument is that Godzilla is angry against Kong so that's why he is so reckless then why isn't he just as angry with King Ghidorah and the MUTOs? They both did things personally to Godzilla with battles and the killing of another of his species, not to mention questioning his rule across the planet. Summed up, as long as a beginning series whether that be film or show keeps a consistent tone, and world rules then there wouldn't be much of a problem. There is now so much conflict within all four films and even the show and we'll have to see what happens with GxK.

i love the design, it takes the best aspects from most of the previous legendary godzilla designs and improves them as well as adding more stuff, it has the head size of 2014 godzilla, proportions that look like a mix of FW godzilla and GVK godzilla, new and improved versions of the dorsal plates from 2014 + a mix of godzilla 2000's dorsal plates, bigger and longer arms (which allows for punching, which would be nice to see as a mix up of the fighting choreography in the films) and the atomic breath VFX look similar to GVK godzilla's atomic breath, except magenta.

After all MV Godzilla went through changes in previous movies so he has a right to change his design

​@@rainer999 the millennium era was a anthology series of films that weren't connected to each other, it used the godzilla 2000 design twice before swapping to gmk for 1 film, then using the kiryugoji design for 2 films then the FW design for the last film. Over the course of 6 films, the millennium era used 4 different designs. 1 design twice, another design twice and 2 only once

I think the reason why they changed his color for the movie is for visual appeal since Shimo will most likely be blasting blue beams. Keeping Godzilla blue would make the titans’ color schemes redundant.

@@carlsfc6807 Some of the MV does cook as somebody who doesn’t have Apple TV, Legacy of Monsters goes so hard and I can’t wait for a season 2, but I’m just worried about GxK and how it’s going to be in tone. I think that moving forward, it could be a mix between Kotm and GvK but I will give GxK a fair chance and who knows what it’ll be. I just don’t want it to go down the same path as the shows series which ended in a hiatus

The MCU has ruined the perspective of action blockbusters. It made everyone think that other blockbusters such as Transformers, Fast and Furious, and Godzilla are copying Marvel with it’s CGI set pieces and nonsensical stories when in reality they are trying to do their own thing.

to be fair in the MV we know there are 2 distinct versions of kong, the skull island Kong's and the hollow earth Kong's, the baby kong is clearly a hollow earth kong, who are MUCH, MUCH bigger then the skull island kongs.

The baby Kong (Suko) is a different sub species of Kong. So that's probably the reason it is bigger than Kong's teenage form in the 2017 movie.
