^Rodan was not like starscream, more like soundwave. Rodan had no fear when fighting king ghidorah, went straight to fight the three headed golden dragon. And even though he was loosing he kept fighting till ghidorah finally stretched out his wings and shot a gravity bolt at his chest knocking him into the ocean. Then Rodan submitted to ghidorah because he knew he couldn’t win. But the thing is his allegiance Is always shifting, that is the only similarity I can see with starscream.
No wonder Rodan is all angry and attacking everything. He’s sleeping, minding his own business. And then he is rudely awoken and is getting fired at 😂😂
For as ferocious as he is, this dude is SMART. He knows when to back down when he's outmatched, learned maneuvers by just seeing them once, and used his own natural features to his advantage, like trying to cook Mothra.
The only issue i have is that no living creature no matter how big is keeping up with a stealth bomber or any aircraft like it. They travel at over 600 mph so that big beast would get left in the dust.
@@skillethead15 Its a fictional movie. It doesnt need to make sense. Tbh with how massive he is, those legs would break if he try to stand on them . Acording to physic of how gravity affected by mass. But then again its a fictional movie so just ignore it and enjoy how cool it is.

i think rodan could have avoid going against the three headed devil but instead went straight against it because of his ego which is why rodan is my fav.
He might be "weaker" then godzilla, but hes probably the most destructive kaiju weve seen so far. After all, Godzilla coming ashore causes a flood. Rodan taking off wipes the surrounding cities off the map

Rodan’s not only pissed because people woke him from his slumber but also because people mistaken him for some big bird, birds have feathers, Rodan has scaly skin, scaly wing membranes, and he’s a pterosaur, well the original toho rodan’s are but the legendary, monsterverse Rodan is a flying reptile that pre-dates the pterosaurs and birds. Also the design for Rodan is epic in this film.
Pterosaurs we’re obligate quadrupeds on the ground and they weren’t scaly. Plus, it looks like Rodan actually has a lava-powered jet propulsion system in his wings (explains how the hell he’s so fast and nimble despite his size), which is obviously not something any actual pterosaur had.
Rodan and Mothra can fly, they are supposedly lighter than the average kaiju (Rodan likely has caved bones like birds, and Mothra has an exoscheleton like insects) But yeah, that is one hell of a building

Michael did a great job creating this new version of Rodan but I feel like the movie lacked more scenes with him. I really hope Rodan will return in GvK and even someday he will get his own solo film
You know Rodan had his own film and he ate smaller monsters called meganula. These guys also woke up Megaguirus, their queen, in Godzilla vs megaguirus. I really, REALLY hope Rodan and Megaguirus fight. It wouldn’t be fitting to see Two Destroyer class titans fighting instead of one or two destroyer Titan vs one or two protector Titans

Y’know, this scene does something awesome, that I can remember Pacific Rim did. All of the shots are CG’d in a way so it looks like a physical camera, a shot from afar in the town, a shot with camera shake and tilt like a plane, and the in cockpit cameras too. Makes it grounded and feel like you are actually in the action.
Holy crap I just noticed a super cool detail about this scene. So at 1:32 when Rodan is flying over the city and his downdraft is obliterating everything as he goes you can see the Church stays put. Architecturally and logically this makes sense because churches namely Catholic and other pre-reformation houses of worship, are almost entirely made of stone. This made them essentially immune to storms and all but the worst weather related disasters! Love that an animator actually took the time to include that little bit there.
I’m an atheist and don’t believe in god but I saw that before and I always thought it was just Jesus/God protecting the church but what you said makes a lot more sense 😂

Rodan being the Starscream of the MonsterVerse -until Godzilla claims the kingship- for 5 minutes straight. Kidding, I love Rodan, he's my voracious volcano vulture boi...but he totally bent the knee, and fast, after getting his pyromaniacal posterior handed to him by Ghidorah. It was actually Ghidorah's yodeling that did it, but still rather mercenary of the titanic toasty turkey...
I still love that you see Rodan actually Bowing to King Ghidorah. And when he bows to Godzilla, his true king, we see he actually closes his eyes too. Also I love that little grin before he takes out all the fighters by rolling.
No one talks about how Rodan literally flew up into Earths atmosphere faster than anything Humans have. Rodan flew up with more speed than our fastest Rockets. Rodan can fly faster than anything we have.
Rodan is perfect in this movie, he's tacticle, he learns from the military and other titans, he doesnt just flail when attacking the military like in previous movies, hes smart about it, and he fights until he knows hes beat and is willing to give up at that point
Well alright then, I'm going to say it: Rodan has the best entrance in this movie. All those people gazing in terrified silence and then, Rodan catches them in his sight.... Also was a bad week for giving up flying a fighter jet.
I love how powerful the kaiju in this movie felt. In the first movie we saw a small flying one that didn't seem to do much damage but then Rodan who's much bigger effortlessly destroys a whole town just by flying over it.
This director absolutely nailed the shots of the kaiju when building tension and showing off their scale. The movie was great to watch in theaters and as a "casual" fan of Godzilla I think its my favorite one of the Legendary Pictures trilogy. Imagine if the people behind Godzilla vs Kong bothered to pay closer attention to the cinematography and pacing in the previous two films.... we would have had a MUCH better movie lmao.
I love the fact that in these movies modern high tech aircraft have to get close enough to literally get bitten even though 1970s US fighters could fire over the horizon.
The fact Rodan's flying alone can cause something equivalent to the shockwave of a nuclear bomb is a great way to demonstrate just how powerful and huge the fucker is.
GOD ! I know it’s a movie but feeling that kind of pressure being chased ? Literally in a sound breaking jet & the damn bird is on top of you barely struggling if any simply flying over you wanting you dead.
damn. my man was done dirty 😔 -was awaken in the middle of the sleep and got fired by missles right after he woke up -had oppotunity to show off his coolest scene for like 2-3 minutes -and then got his ass whooped twice in the row after that (by ghidorah and mothra) 😂😂😂 what a life bro //its kinda funny that hes actually one of the alpha ranked titans (i guess) but still got most of scene like that (respect for the fact that he had a balls to attack ghidorah tho lol)
Ok, so Rodan isn't a bad guy after all just thinking about it. Wake up from thousands of years of sleep someone tried to wall you in... Ok maybe they didn't know. Then you break out and realize there's a new civilization and you're like cool oh what's this some new kind of bird that launches mini fires at you and then suddenly explodes on you. Ok, they're attacking me for no reason time to die.
I gotta say Rodan is probably my favourite Kaiju by a mile and just by flying he wiped a whole city of the map! It also has my favourite Kaiju roar!Also I think the reason is because it’s a FUCKING LAVA PRERODACTYL and I’m addicted to prehistoric creatures
