You just jumped in a BIG adventure here: the Godzilla mythos is vast, epic, goofy, funny and everything inbetween, even the kaijus you've seen here are but a small fraction of those whose the Big G met, fought with and, occasionally, along. What you have to keep in mind is that Godzilla holds the title for the longer standing uninterrupted movie series of all times, with the original movie dating back to 1954, with many reboots and reinterpretations scattered throughout all of its timeline. This is a brief list of the kaijus you have met in this video in order of appearence: -Space Godzilla, evil clone of the Big G born when some of Godzilla's cells were swallowed by a black hole, he can enhance its powers and its telekinesis by generating crystals in the land around him -Biollante, affectionatly referred by some as Godzilla's "sister", she is a man made monstruosity created by fusing Godzilla DNA with that of a rose and that of a girl, whose soul now inhabits the kaiju. She's basically immortal, turning into "pollen" particles whenever her body gets destroyed, allowing her to regenerate at a later date -Hedorah, the smog monster, basically an acid trip on legs (especially its debut movie), imagine a shapeshiftig colossal Muk from pokemon feeding on Earth's pollution and able to regenerate from it -Rodan, one of the most iconic kaijus of the saga, this gigantic pteranodon is arguably the greatest flyer of the whole roster, able to flap its wings to create winds strong enough to cause fatal injuries in other kaijus -Mothra (first in larva form, then in her adult moth form), dubbed "queen of the monsters", is a benevolent mystical being who's wings can emit reflecting particles able to reflect and neutralize Godzilla atomic breath -King Ghidorah (also known as Monster X) is THE villain of the series, the archnemesis of the Big G (think Joker and Batman), this absolutely humongous three headed alien dragon can emit gravity beams from its mouths and is so powerful that, more often than not, Godzilla needs to team up with other kaijus to bring him down -Mecha King Ghidorah, remember the three headed dude just described? Basically after being demolished by Godzilla he has been brought back to life (and back to the present) by some people in the future just to be used as a weapon against Godzilla -Battra (first in his larva form than in his adult moth form), the angry twin of Mothra, whereas she aims to protect the world and all life on it, Battra just wants to destroy everything in his path, he can only be calmed down by Mothra herself and the occasional beating courtesy of Godzilla -Anguirus, MY BOY! The first rival AND first friend of Godzilla, he's a gigantic carnivorous ankylosaurus (even if he resembles more a kaprosuchus IMO) with an incredibly durable shell on its back and surprisingly agile, his most iconic attack is rolling up like an armadillo, exposing nothing but sharp spikes, and rolling over his enemies -Gigan (in his edgy 2004 redesign), an alien cyborg weapon outfitted with eye laser, sharp scythe like claws (occasionally swapped for chainsaws), harpoons and a frikkin' buzzsaw in its chest... basically a cyborg cyclopic alien chicken... -Jet Jaguar, giant robot built by humans to protect humanity against all threats, he can fly and enlarge himself from human to kaiju size -DESTOROYAH! This dude is, as the name would suggest, pure walking (and flying) destruction. Born as a colony of microscopic prehistoric crustacean irradiated by the weapon who killed the OG Godzilla, this composite monstruosity can shapeshift, split into smaller entities and emit deadly rays able to annihilate everything in its path, this devil looking guy holds a special place in the Big G roster as the ultimate monster, the being that *SPOILER* Godzilla -Mecha Godzilla I, robotic replica of Godzilla created by aliens to invade Earth, it's a giant pain in the back, outfitted with all sorts of weaponry to cause the maximum amount of distruction... seriously, who needs MISSILE TOES???? -Mecha Godzilla II, anti-Godzilla weapon built by humans by reverse engeneering the parts of Mecha King Ghidorah, it is incredibly resistant and armored with an alloy able to reflect Godzilla's atomic breath, after fusing with the aircraft Garuda (as seen in the intro) it gets dubbed "Super Mecha Godzilla and its arsenal an firepower increase to incredible level, Big G really risked not coming back from this one -Mecha Godzilla III, also known as Kiryu, is quite a unique entrance in the Mecha G family tree, being a human made mech built using the skeleton of the OG Godzilla as internal structure. Incredibly powerful and with really quick reaction times, housing the skeleton of a rampaging monster within it can have EXACTLY the consequences you can expect... -Godzilla (Legendary), the Big G in the 2014 american reboot, an ancient titan who protects the balance of the ecosystem of the planet, one of the bulkiest and tankiest incarnation of the character -Godzilla (Heisei), arguably the most iconic look of the titular character, this is how the Big G appeared (save minor alterations) in the movies between 1984 and 1996, this guy have a LONG track record of fights and a lot of powerups throughout the years, if you ask anyone what does Godzilla looks like, they will point to this guy -Burning Godzilla, the most powerful form of the Heisei Godzilla, imagine if the most powerful thermonuclear gigantic reactor ever existed started to go meltdown and decided to make it everyone's problem... made unstable by all the mentioned powerups, it is said that, if this dude was to blow up, it would set fire to Earth's athmosphere, turning the whole planet in a lifeless molten husk As I said, the Godzilla cosmology is VAST and there are monsters, and variations of monsters, for every taste: even Godzilla himself went through a lot of redesigns, revised origins and behaviours throughout the years. If I were to suggest a few movies, they would be: -Godzilla (1954) -Godzilla returns (1984) -Godzilla vs Biollante (1989) -Godzilla vs Destoroyah/Destroyer (1995) -Godzilla Mothra King Ghidorah, Giant monsters all-out attack (usually shortened in "GMK") (2001) -Godzilla Final Wars (2004) -The whole Legendary Monsterverse... seriously, it's so cool! (2014-present) -Shin Godzilla (2016) I know these seems a lot, but keep in mind this is a 69 (nice) years long legacy. Sorry for the long post, I hope it helped to shed some light on this topic.

It's unfortunate that this video really doesn't do anything beyond just glimpse a scant handful of Godzilla's better foes and allies. There's a lot more to all of them, typically each having at least a full movie of their own. Some, like the spiky puppy ankylosaur (Anguirus) and the moth (Mothra) have been long-time recurring characters across decades with their own lore.

Like many other comments have suggested, I think if you are interested in knowing a bit more you should check out the older fighting games where they show the full monster and announce its name before the battle starts.

I was a Godzilla fan for the majority of my life. Hell it was my childhood. When this game cameout I was over the moon because the last major godzilla game came out on the wii for context. Sad it did not get alot of praise. The big red guy is destroyah godzilla's most powerful adversary and the last godzilla monster of the heisei Era of films. The film he is in is one of the best godzilla films to. The three headed dragon is king ghidorah and is godzilla's main rival and my favorite The turtle puppy thing is anguirus who is the first monster godzilla fought in 1955 sequel to the original and is a fan favorite The crazy thing with all these monsters all of them are practical effects no CGI.

Ken threat levels like our Defcon go from 5 to 1 with 1 being the biggest threat. I agree it is stupid, cause you cant go anywhere from 1 except "maximum". Having 5 be the worst lets us see things as the biggest threat... SO FAR! The possibilities are endless!

The Death Battle for Mecha-Godzilla vs Dragonzord helps shed a little light on the crazy world that is the Godzilla lore. This was cute, but it doesn't do much for a reaction when you don't even know their names.

It seems to say this that the Game didn’t receive that many praising as I heard it’s a low quality game that should have been a PS2 game with newer graphics, but it holds some value for the gamers to witness some monsters during Godzilla’s history from their past to present timeline. 😅 Also this game seem to be fun to see the fights without playing and witness the story in Japanese to feel like a true Godzilla style game.

Major enemy & technically the Spawn of Godzilla & the plant/woman hybrid Biollantè, when she released her spores with some of Godzilla's blood into a Black Hole. 00:48 Biollante, a scientist trying to keep his murdered daughter's memory alive mixed her ashes into the soil of a mutant plant with the G-man's (Godzilla) blood. Mutating from giant rose to the "Little Shop of Horror" you see here. 1:10 Hedorah. The sludge monster, a statement monster talking about the pollution of the 70s - 80s. Eats pollution just to use it as a weapon against humanity and Godzilla. 1:27 Rodan. One of the big 3, along with Godzilla & Mothra being the only three here to have Solo movies. Originally a Evil pair of awakened pterodactyls, Rodan fluctuates between good guy/bad guy or equal to Godzilla to everyone's punching bag. 1:36 Mothra (infant). The Queen of all Monsters in her cute baby form. 1:45 Mothra (Adult). Another big 3 who is arguably behind Godzilla in popularity & number of solo films. She is again the Queen to Godzilla's King of All Monsters. Only a few monsters are as constant as she is at being a defender of Humanity. Meaning her and Godzilla have been great friends, better enemies as he barely tolerates us at best most times. Their relationship elevated to symbiotic in the Monsterverse. 2:15 King Ghidora. The Destroyer of Worlds, Eater of Stars, The Three-headed Devil.... Whatever you call him Ghidora is the Megatron to Godzilla's Optimus Prime, the Joker to his Batman. Even in the weird Godzilla, Mothra, & King Ghidora: Giant Monsters All Out Attack (2001) movie where Godzilla is the bad guy Ghidora is his antithesis. 2:27 Mecha King Ghidora. In the future humanity discovers the remains of Ghidora & revives him with technology, sending him to the past/present to kill Godzilla before he becomes OP and drives them to extinction. Didn't work, but hey, they tried. 2:58 Battra (Larva to Adult). Yang to Mothra's Yin. Tangled with Mothra & Godzilla in a chaotic three-way. Even sacrifices themselves for Mothra by "tanking" Godzilla's attacks until they could drop his ass out in the middle of the ocean till he chilled out. 😢 3:33 Anguirus. The best boi is here! Godzilla's first nemesis turned into his Best Friend 😊 literally. First appearing in "Godzilla Raids Again" the sequel to the very first "Godzilla". Anguirus shares the honor of being in the first Kaiju Battle on the big screen with Godzilla. Now Godzilla's best friend & right Claw, unfortunately this means that most other kaiju treat Anguirus like a punching bag or a puppy ready to be kicked to get at Godzilla. Being the most beaten up Kaiju besides Manilla (Godzilla's son) & Baragon. 3:45 Gigan. One of the meanest kaiju ever thought about, Gigan usually fills the role of the "School Bully" or the #1 Henchmen of most of the antagonist in Godzilla's rogues gallery. From Ghidora to man-eating aliens trying to gain authority over humanity, Gigan is usually leading the charge for these Monsters willingly. Being 1 of only 3 enemies to make Godzilla visually bleed profusely. A cyborg kaiju who looks like the unholy union of a eagle, mantis, & a buzz saw. Gigan is being constantly upgraded with this version being most overhauled. You didn't get to see any of his armaments here but they consist of Shotgun style plasma bolts from his eyes, interchangeable hook arms that can be exchanged for twin dual headed chainsaws, a giant buzz saw protruding out from his chest to his navel, rocket propelled harpoons that pull you into all that pain.... and more. 3:58 Jet Jaguar. A giant robot modeled after the drawing of a kid who won a drawing contest. This is the result of him "cleaning" up the original. Jet Jaguar is normal size but inexplicably even to the MAN WHO CREATED HIM through the power of friendship developed the ability to grow giant & learn Karate. 🙃 4:16 Destroyah. The End, The Red Tide, The Many, but more importantly the only Kaiju to ever kill a Godzilla. Destroyah isn't just one creature, he is an amalgamation of trillions upon trillions of prehistoric microbes that were awakened & altered by the Oxygen Destroyer, the weapon that killed the first Godzilla. Destroyah forms go from the tiny microbes to the bear or bus sized terrormorphs who terrorized army personnel to the larger flying form to the gigantic final form which he used to abuse & kill his son Manilla. Forcing Godzilla to breathe life back into Manilla before engaging in a brutal battle with Destroyah which saw both kaiju meet their end before Manilla revived to become the new Godzilla inheriting his father's power & name. 4:30 Mecha Godzilla. The first Mecha Godzilla, this alien controlled monstrosity of a robot was first seen masquerading as Godzilla in a meat suit, terrorizing Japan. Only his close friend Anguirus & a girl who was always mysteriously linked to Godzilla realized he was a phony. Mecha G brutally beat Anguirus almost to death but Anguirus was able to escape & call Godzilla. In the ensuing battle Mecha G would be the 2nd kaiju to make the G-Man bleed, but thanks to the help of a Guardain Diety name King Ceasar, Godzilla tore the mech apart. 4:51 Mecha Godzilla Mk2. This time the UN creates the United Nations Godzilla Countermeasures Center (UNGCC) which in turn creates this Mecha Godzilla from the salvaged parts of Mecha King Ghidora. It's piloted by 3 crewman including a young female psychic named Miki who you see docking in the video. 5:15 Mech G3 or more affectionately known as KIRYU. The strongest version of Mecha G & is the only one with a several Wins against the G-man. This version of Mecha Godzilla is a cyborg made with the original Godzilla's skeleton. Unfortunately because of the inclusion of the OG's skeleton the current Godzilla's roar awoke it's spirit & caused several incidents. But together with Kiryu's pilots were able to force Godzilla to retreat multiple times. 5:45 Godzilla (Hiesei). In my opinion the 3rd or 4th strongest version of Godzilla & that's not an insult. One of the few versions that can use the Spiral Ray, a very powerful red tinted version of his Atomic Breathe that can incinerate large kaiju. The glowing version you see later is his "Burning" state, turning him into "Burning Godzilla" whose body was in a state of meltdown. This was the version who fought Destroyah. His final Spiral Rays ending the terror before he melted in a attempt to minimize the damage in his final moments, stopping a world ending nuclear explosion.

The Caterpillar/Pretty butterfly is Mothra: Queen of Monsters The 3 headed dragon is King Ghidorah, Godzilla's arch enemy. The monster with the spikes on his back is Angurius, I think that's how it's spelled. "Cyclops Godzilla" is Gigan, and he's known for having blades for arms. The next one is Jet Jaguar. The one after that is Destroyah

Space Godzilla is basically what happens when an alien crystal gets exposed to Godzilla DNA. Biolante is tragic monster because scientists used the DNA of Godzilla, and human woman, and a roseplant, mix those together you get Biolante. Hedorah aka The Smog Monster is a creature originating from The Dark Gas Nebula in the Orion Constellation. Rodan aka The Fire Demon is a creature from Mexico the was found in a pyrostasis in a volcano on Isla De Mara. Mothra is Queen of the Monsters is a monster that protects the earth and its inhabitants. King Ghidorah, an Alien Hyrda that came to our and became a power rival to be king of the monsters, and if he was, he would destroy all life on Earth and reshape the world to his liking. Mecha King Ghidorah is King Ghidorah from the future but was defeated by a earth protecting monster and was sent back to our time with cybernetic upgrades. Battra is a dark counterpart to Mothra and was created by Earth itself after an ancient civilization (and I don't know the hell they did this) created a climate controlling device. Anguirus is the first monster Godzilla fought. Though they were once enemies they became allies to friends (Though its more like Anguirus is Godzilla's pet). Gigan is a freaky ass fuck cybernetic space dinosaur created by a alien species from "M-Space Hunter Nebula". Jet Jaguar is a robot created by inventor named Goro Ibuki but was stolen by Seatopions to lead their guardian monster: Megalon in his destruction of the Earth. Destroyah is a monster created from the colony of Precambrian era crustaceans that thrived living in anaerobic environments 2.5 billion years ago but survived into the 20th century. They were awoken by the detonation of Dr Serizowa's Oxygen Destroyer Bomb. This very weapon was used to kill the original Godzilla back in 1954. As a result of the bomb they were awaken and they were evoling, well technically its more like mutating. And the were doing that abnormally for 40 years, resulting into what you're looking at. Mecha Godzilla is basically what you get when a group of cybernetic experts and scientists use the bones if the first Godzilla's corpse from 1954 and build a robot with them.

Anguirus, the "cute shimming-spikey dog," is the Yamcha of the Godzilla universe.

Oh, this is a remaster-port of an older ps4 game that wasn't very good... The magma looking godzilla is known as Burning Godzilla and basically his internal, biological nuclear reactor is going into meltdown and is about to blow up the whole world. The big red one with the horn (Destroyah) is actually from the same movie as Burning Godzilla. The red one was created from the fallout of the superweapon (non-nuclear) that killed the original Godzilla in the original 1954 movie. This movie was marketed as 'the death of godzilla' and his final movie... but ofc there ended up being more godzilla movies later, if not in the same continuity... The one with the shoulder crystals is space godzilla. Some of godzilla's cells were blasted into outerspace and entered into a black hole. it changed the cells and created the monster, who came back down to earth to rule it. The spiky turtle dinosaur looking thing is Anguirus, and was featured as Godzilla's opponent in the second ever godzilla movie. He returned in later movies, not as an enemy, but as godzilla's friend and ally against threats to Earth. The one with all the teeth is a hybrid of the cells/dna of a human girl, a rose, and godzilla called Biollante. The dark worm looking thing was Battra, a sort of dark/edgy version of mothra that skips the cocoon phase and is very aggressive in comparison. Mothra is the one that looks like a butterfly and has a habit of sacrificing herself while saving/giving a boost to godzilla. The three headed dragon is King Ghidorah and is usually considered Godzilla's greatest foe, since it took the combined might of Godzilla and other monsters working together to take him down originally (although the red one, Destroyah, is considered on par with it). It got resurrected with mechanical enhancements in a later movie. The creepy looking robot is called Jet Jaguar. he's the creation of a freelance inventor and was intended to protect people/children and is heavily inspired by all the shows and action style that the power rangers originated from- so he's a good guy with goofy moves and design.

The kaijus you’ve seen are all from old Godzilla films throughout the past 69 yrs in movie history. Next year Japan will celebrate his 70th anniversary. The three robots are named Mecha Godzilla from different generations. The first is from 1974, the second is from 1993 and the third one is from 2002. The three headed dragon’s name is King Gidorah, and he’s Godzilla’s biggest main rival for a long time. The giant moth is called Mothra, the slime monster’s name is The Smog Monster, the giant plant monster is Biolante and the giant demon like monster is name Destroyah, and he is the one that killed Godzilla in the 1994 movie where they celebrated his 50th anniversary at that time. Oh the creepy robot you’ve mentioned is called Jet Jaguar. He was created by an elementary school student. Toho the studio that made the Godzilla films, held a contest where each kid will get to create their own original character, and will put one of theirs in the upcoming Godzilla movie. So Jet Jaguar became the winner, and made his debut in 1973 in a movie called Godzilla Vs Megladon. He even has his own theme song too. The Godzillas you’ve seen are also from different generations too. The one with the giant crystals on his shoulders is Space Godzilla, the 2014 American Godzilla and he is fighting against the 1993 Godzilla at the end. The glowing Godzilla is the 1998 one. He is overheating due to the nuclear reaction that he was created, and if he overheats he’ll blow up like an atomic bomb.

This game had potential but it wasn't quite up to snuff. Still, the fights though was pretty enjoyable

God i wish i hadn't sold my ps4 copy of this game. Every once in awhile i get the itch to play it but last i checked it was around $450. -_-

I’ll be honest. This game was awful. Sadly, a lot of the better Godzilla games come from the era of PS2 and Xbox.
