The Return of the Jedi review is still on it's way. After that, my next review will be about a Godzilla movie. I'm doing videos about Star Wars, Marvel, and Godzilla.
I guess Godzilla acts angrily and viciously because of how he's being persecuted and assaulted by humans and other kaijus he just wants to have a place in the world but gets the hate just for what he is
2:10 baby Godzilla: dad? Godzilla: son it’s me I’m your father baby Godzilla: dad!!! Godzilla: son!!! baby Godzilla: you came back for me Godzilla: of course you’re my son 2:58 Godzilla: come on son let’s go home (Godzilla walks into the ocean with baby Godzilla behind) baby Godzilla: I’m right behind you dad
Ah, what I'd give to see one of the ideas come to life...and for those wondering, the idea of Godzilla carrying Baby Godzilla in his mouth like a Crocodilians do.
Haven't decided. Depends on if I have the time and energy. If I did, I'd reboot the series. For now, I'm sticking to video essays (about Marvel, Star Wars, and Godzilla).
Considering how Miki tried Telepathy on Godzilla before, I so wanted the King to approach her like he did in the water, but instead of a battle over minds, it's a subtle understanding between Godzilla, his newborn, and the humans who protected it.
Baby gamera: mom Gamera: son it's me i'm your mother Baby gamera: mom!!! Gamera: son Baby gamera: you came back for me Gamera: of course you're my son Gamera: come on let's go home baby gamera: i'm right behind you mom
“Will there be a dinosaur age, long after man’s present, here has been forgotten?” Well.. I surely would hope so. It’ll give earth a chance to recover from all the pollution and destruction that mankind has caused.
Honestly, quite overrated. Gamera 1&2 have rather basic plots and characters and there's this obvious tug of war between Kaneko and Daiei with Gamera's characterization so he gets character assassinated multiple times. They can't decide whether he'll go out of his way to save people or if he doesn't give a shit about them. This is because Daiei wanted Gamera's characterization to be heroic, whereas Kaneko really just wanted to direct Godzilla. Gamera 3 is the best one because this tug of war doesn't exist and commit to a consistent characterization for Gamera, one that fits the narrative, and Kaneko is able to make a plot that's more interesting in how nutty it is. At the same time, it's still not perfect, as it contains some of his prominent writing issues, such as using extremely vague world-building and not answering important questions to create the illusion of depth, which is even worse in GMK, and having nonsensical moments for the sake of spectacle. All of Omori and Okawara's Godzilla movies from the Heisei era are better written, IMO. I'm planning on doing analysis' of the Heisei Godzilla and Gamera movies to further explain my views.
My Return of the Jedi video is my best work and a good example of what my content will be like going forward. Even so, I will be making additional even more in-depth analysis' of the plot and characters of all three original Star Wars movies (including ROTJ, as I spend most of the video talking about the emotional character work). I will also be doing the same for Godzilla movies, superhero films, etc. The Gamera trilogy will have it's turn and I hope it will better articulate my issues with them. Internal consistency is a standard by which I hold all movies and throughout my content you will see it applied consistently, whilst also giving credit to the emotional content.
@@LordVaderTyrannus That's interesting, I would agree to a certain extent, but I think there are many more problems with what the films have the characters do, as well as what the monsters do in the actual fights. I actually think that Gamera's character was more consistent in films like Gamera 2 and a little less in Gamera 1. But Gamera 3 literally goes against everything shown prior in the series, making up this Mana thing which basically makes Gamera the real villain of the series with no silver lining. I could go on and on about my thoughts on the films, which I don't think many people really understand due to not remembering what the human characters have stated in the films. I did a breakdown of the flaws in the Heisei Gamera films if you are interested in hearing some of my points based on what was shown in the films.
@@LordVaderTyrannus If you wanted to talk about these films I'd be up for it, since I think the best way to form thoughts on a film apart from watching it is discussing the problems with other people.
