Godzilla x Kong is now officially the second biggest movie of the year just behind Dune part two earning over 560 million dollars. The Movie is on the way to dethrone Kong Skull Island to become the highest grossing Monsterverse movie of all time. In the wake of this overwhelming success, legendary studios has already godzilla x kong part 3. And today we have some significant news regarding the same which can significantly change the entire landscape of the Monsterverse forever. Here me out, Atlantis is the villain. They Unleash Gigan and Megalon to conquer the surface. Godzilla is overwhelmed but is helped by the good Atlanteans, When they unleash Gamera.

King of the monsters didn't perform as well because it came out too close to Endgame. Thats part of the reason why these new movies did so good bc they didn't have any competition where as kotm did.

Kotm is the best kaiju movie in monster verse IMO. I don't understand why people didn't watched it when it was in the theatre. It far better than GVK or G2014.

In fine with a more grounded film. Possibly darker tone. What I hope they don't do is "darker tone = darker lighting". In my opinion, this is where Minus One really knocked it out of the park. It was a dark groundes film. But the set pieces were precise, clear and well lit. Even the Odo Island scene which was set in the dark, was still very well lit and every detail easily seen. You weren't watching it, saying like 2014 and thinking wtf is going in there.

Toho just recently proved you can have two Godzilla universes! The dark & The campy! I don't understand why a movie can't have both in the same movie to begin with! We had 'Godzilla Minus One = Dark Tone, then we got 'Godzilla * Kong' The New Empire = Campy! I am no longer a child so I prefer the first! This year's movie was more of a children's type of movie, while last year was for adults! We may now get a darker version of 'Abbott & Costello' meet The Monsters!

For me, I just like balance. I liked the realism of GZ 2014, if they could find a good balance of realism and groundedness (Oxford needs to make that a word) and the Adam's campyness, I think it would be pretty decent. The Hollow Earth gives them an opportunity to add some of elements that made the old school TOHO films great. If it has a good story, good writing, good direction as well as a good balance between realism and campiness, I think it would be good. I want to see Kong vs Caesar (King vs King) Godzilla vs Gigan before he takes on Space GZ, Biolante, or Destroyah. I want to see some GZ old school buddies brought to the big screen like Anguirus, [most likely spelled his name wrong, please forgive me if I did] but yeah

It's not so much the screen time Godzilla had. It's that I really don't care about Kong and Godzilla has no kind of story or character arch. What about a story regarding what happened to the rest of his kind? Or something similar since we have had that with Kong.

We were told that things were not too satisfactory with godzilla x Kong due to godzilla being so limited in appearances and the movie feeling more like a kong movie with godzilla playing a support role. So they are looking to go back to a godzilla solo movie, which may look more to his past and his origins.

Should be Guillermo del Toro! KOTM did 'poorly' because Legendary went in paying serious $$$ for Ghidorah, Mothra & Rodan AND their themes. Then dropped after Endgame & bitchass Disney RE-released Endgame cause it came up short behind Avatar cause of KOTM, & they blamed Dougherty. Because of this, Legendary did NOT want to pay for Mothra. Wingard said do it. They went ahead using Fosphera & got dogged at a pre-screening. Legendary then paid for Mothra. Now GxK is the highest $$$ of all 5 films. Now, Legendary is rushing ahead to make GxK3 while Wingard is making another movie. Yes. They're THAT petty.

Bro GxK:NE is cool and all but the writing is shit and terribly paced. This movie is more about Kong vs Scare King with Godzilla and Shimu as side characters. And that's not even bringing up the worsening choreography and overall look/feel with every movie.
