I'm turning 50 this year and I feel like I've been waiting most of my life to see Godzilla the way he was meat to be.

I love that at 2:07 when he says “Kong is meant to protect humanity” it’s over a scene where Kong is about to literally punch helicopters full of that same humanity out of the sky.

This Godzilla Kong video puts the biggest smile on my face.

The Fairy twins were also in KotM as Dr. Ling and Dr. Chen. I think this movie is gonna establish that there are people with the ability to sense or communicate with other Titans even being hinted at in the KotM redacted credits stating "evidence shows some may have developed telepathic communication with the creatures. Attemted to control them, to use them for war. Some Titans rebelled against their human masters"

We're going see Godzilla, Kong and Mothra for the first time in cinematic history in a movie together fight a ape with a whip (skar king )and a lizard shooting ice (shimo) and that's awesome 🔥🔥🔥😁 6:49 so instead of twins we got a preteen. The beam being shot into the sky is shims. If you look at the bottom. Of the beam you can see a curved tail. I think shims has an attack like ghidora that messes with the weather Also at 12:52 to the left it looks like 2 glowing blue eyes.

The energy blast you keep on saying that happening in Rio. It is SHIMO you can see its tail move as it looks like its freezing the water around it and shooting a freezing ray towards the sky....

Coming back and rewarching this for the 56th time, I love the roar sound they use when Godzilla does his nuclear pulse. They use it a couple of other times during the trailer. Like when Kong blocks Shimo's ice blast. Also its used when the humans warp through the portal and are giving each other a thumbs up and down. I'm wondering, since we hear this sound, Im sure three times in the trailer, if it's either Scar King or Shimo's distorted roar.

Gia has a twin sister that's in the tribe, so we are seeing 2 different Gia's, but it's actually her twin that got separated in a titan event. Also, Kongs fight with Skar is miss leading.. Think about it?! Why would Skar call for Shimo's help?! Once Kong defeats Skar, Kong drops his axe, thinking the fight is over, but Skar is calling for Shimo for help, and once Kong realizes and sees Shimo, that's when Kong turns and grabs the axe to block the ice blast and obviously it didn't hold up for long and Kong gets blasted off the edge and Suko finds Kong hurt and in bad shape, so Suko goes and finds Gia and once Suko does, he beats on his chest to communicate to Gia that Kong needs her and like you see in the trailer Gia is crying as she realizes Kong is hurt.. .

10:11 I assumed that was Shimo shooting the blast out of or into the portal, and you can see what looks like Godzilla at the bottom like he's absorbing it or being attacked

*Shimo* *Wasn’t* *Shown* Well, we do see his eyes when Kong is looking very startled at who he’s seeing and uses his battle axe to shield himself from Shimo’s frost bite blast. And part of Shimo’s feet looked like it got cut off. Kong has no chance against Shimo. He can beat Skar King with a mechanical glove but not Shimo. To explain Shimo to some uninformed folks here, he’s like the first titan/kaiju to ever exist. His ice breath caused the Ice Age. He was the one who froze Ghidorah. He’s the one controlling Skar King. I hope we see Tiamat in this but according to the prequel graphic novel, Godzilla: Dominion, it says Godzilla already defeated her prior to his fight with Kong. She’s not dead though. The movie, Godzilla vs. Kong from 2021, that’s set in 2024 or 7 years after the final scene in Monarch’s last episode set in 2017. Godzilla x Kong could be set in 2028 since Jia, the little deaf girl, has aged. I’m reading Mothra will be returning. She’s going to stop Godzilla and Kong from fighting. You need to rewatch the previous movies and rewatch Monarch carefully to know who’s who and what happened during the prehistoric ages. Shimo is a Japanese word for “frost” or “gray hair”. Since we’re also seeing giant apes/kongs, this is a great prep for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Skar King is supposed to be 400 feet. He’s lanky but he’s taller than Kong and Godzilla. He uses a weapon called Whipslash. If Shimo stood straight up, he’s rumored to be nearly 600 feet. There’s some whiny Godzilla fans who are pretty angry at what I’m about to spill as I’ve been following GxK news daily…. *MAJOR* *SPOILERS* *AHEAD* Godzilla and Kong will fight in Egypt in this movie. Kong has the glove (or his Infinity Gauntlet) and he knocks Godzilla unconscious. Then Kong is going to drag Godzilla into Hollow Earth to fight Shimo and SK. A lot of G fans don’t like this because they feel their favorite kaiju is more powerful than a big ape. They feel G is getting nerfed again. I personally don’t give a shit. This is CGI kaiju WWE. We don’t need to take this stuff so personal and so seriously. It’s a lizard and monkey tag teaming to fight an evil lizard and evil monkey. If you want a serious Godzilla movie, go watch the 1954 film, the 2014 film, or Minus One. GxK is a buddy cop movie. I have no problem if this movie stars Kong again like the previous 2021 movie. It’s not like Godzilla has much of a personality to convey emotions. Godzilla fans keeps saying Kong has no superpowers like Godzilla does. Neither does Steve Rogers, Bruce Wayne, and Tony Stark. I was rooting for Batman to beat Superman in 2016. If Godzilla does beat Kong, then the movie ends because Kong would be dead. That’s like asking Superman to kill Batman and the entire Justice League. Where’s the conflict then? Or Godzilla can hurt Kong badly, he’ll have to fight Shimo and Skar King by himself. In a way, Kong is forced to carry the movie again because he’s the closest to being human. He’s looking a lot like Kratos in God of War (2018) in this movie. Between Kong and Godzilla, Kong is the one who can show the most emotions. You don’t really see much emotion from Godzilla and he’s not connected to a little girl like Kong is. And listen to the narration… “The titans were the guardians of nature. And the great apes became the protectors of humanity.” Godzilla protects the Earth. Kong protects the people. This is my most anticipated movie of 2024 ever since I bought a Hiya KOTM Godzilla figure and watched Minus One a week after that. I went onto binge watch more Godzilla movies after. Then bought a Hiya G21 V2 figure after selling my KOTM. Then bought an Art Spirits Hyper Solid Series Kong that looks great next to my Hiya G21. I bought Team Godzilla and Team Kong hats from Redbubble that I’ll wear and rotate with my other 18 hats. G & K rule!! MonsterVerse Godzilla and Kong have become my favorite version for each character. It’s MCU but with kaijus. It’s probably more consistent than DCEU. GvK is my favorite movie for both iconic titans. MV G fans tends to prefer KOTM more because we see Big G kick more ass in it and it’s more like a 60s to 90s kaiju movie fighting King Ghidorah and Rodan. I could barely remember what happened in it and the movie was too dark like the 2014 one. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire basically feels like MonsterVerse’s Avengers: Infinity War. I’m anticipating this one way more than Deadpool and Wolverine because we’re talking about the two greatest titans in cinematic history joining forces to battle Shimo and Skar King. You can see how Shimo looks through the Playmates toys. I personally don’t think he looks as cool as Skar King. But wait when we finally see Shimo in the movie. The trailer made the wise decision not to show how he looks. People who love MCU, DCEU, or Star Wars but are feeling disappointed by some of their stuff over the last few years should try to get more into the MonsterVerse lore. It’s a lot deeper than it looks. I personally hope we see more MV movies involving other monsters Godzilla fought in the Heisei Era like Destroyah, SpaceGodzilla, and Biollante. And can we finally get a MV Gamera, the original Ninja Turtle? 🐢 😂 Have Gamera and Doug be homies. I’ll be wearing my red Godzilla shirt and Team Kong hat when this movie comes out. Then I’ll switch wearing a Kong shirt and a Team Godzilla hat when I watch it a second time. I may watch it as many as 4x. I love these two “legendary” icons! 🦎🐊🦖🦍🦧 My Favorite MonsterVerse Projects 1. Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) 2. Godzilla (2014) 3. Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) 4. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023) 5. Kong: Skull Island (2017) Godzila x Kong: The New Empire (2024) is likely going to be in my top 2. Godzilla Minus One is a better film but GxK is going to be a lot of fun watching CGI kaiju WWE. *For* *Toy* *Collectors* I’m good with my Godzilla and Kong figures but I really want a great figure for Shimo and Skar King. The latter looks like a badass! It’s live action King Louie on a diet, sitting down with swag and ready to whip some ass with his Whipslash! I can imagine all the kaiju toy collectors can’t wait to get their hands on new figures for these new baddies. I know many on RU-vid use them for their stop motion videos. I think Hiya is your best bet. S.H. MonsterArts has gotten so bad lately with poor paint apps, bad QC, and prices are ridiculous. SHMA Minus One retails for $140 but can go as high as $170. That’s with the tip of the tail breaking off easily. Hiya does the best MV Godzilla toys and prices are only $50-$60. While I don’t really care for their Kong, I do prefer it more than SHMA’s. Kongs are more available since Godzilla tends to sell out more. The Kong I have is more of a statue than a toy since his joints don’t move but it has fantastic articulation. It’s a shame NECA doesn’t make MV toys anymore as I thought they made their Godzilla better than SHMA and were cheaper than Hiya. Shimo is supposed to stand on all fours, so he’ll likely be pretty long as a toy figure since if he stood up, he towers over the other kaijus in the movie. I just hope Hiya does a great job with it. Since he’s a white ice dragon, he’ll probably get dirty easier. I hope there is an Art Spirits Hyper Solid Series figure of that blue eyed orangutan with great articulation like they did for Kong. See a lot of videos saying that the whip is the reason he gets the enhancement on the hand. But its not the same hand, if you look at the supe rquick scene right after, looks like scar king breaks that wrist

On a scale of 1-10 for how excited I am for this movie. A SOLID 8! On Dangerville, they "confirm/theorized" that the blue beam going into the sky in Brazil is actually Shrimo firing his breathe weapon into the sky. Don't know if that is 100% confirmed to be the case, just wanted to share that tidbit.

The gravity storm in Rio de Janeiro is not because of a vortex. If you zoom closely, you’ll see it’s actually Shemo letting out an icy blast into the clouds.

I have 2 guess about why we see Shimus head when Kong and Scar are fighting 1) Shimu knocks Godzilla out and and turns to Tag Team with Scar against Kong, making it a 1v2. 2) Shimu becomes free from Scars Control and Turns on Scar, ready to kill Scar.

I think it’s crazy and awesome how far the monster-verse has made it! Never thought I would see the Godzilla vs Kong never mind a sequel! I’m amped!

Looks like Shimu froze Godzilla. Maybe he's trapped in Hollow Earth and super charging like a battery since he's home. So Kong breaks him out with his glove, and that's when the cave collapse on them. That's when we see them running away in their "second forms."

Super Bowl trailer, MT? I hardly think so since at the current extortionate rate of $7 million for a 30 second one shot ad, this would've totalled a whopping $42 million. Almost 1/2 of their promo budget if that topped out at $100 million, 1/3 if it is $150 million. There was no way Legendary/WBD was dropping that kind of cash on a broadcast one-off ad. What they did do, was run a short cosplay spot during the Puppy Bowl show and inserted the film's title slate captioned "Trailer Online Wednesday". The much $marter move, yeah?
