Goencho Poder | Pilerne Floats | Matiechem Fest | 02 Oct 2022 Goencho Poder song sung by Goa's famous musician and composer Mr Johnny B Gud, Johnny Araujo
Loved this beautiful song and melody. A living tribute to the Goan bread makers also locally known ad Podders. I know it is very difficult for them to earn their living as they don't get good rate for their bread. Goan breads are the best and tastiest breads you could ever get and of course reasonably priced. A big salute to all the Podders. God bless them.
THANK YOU Walter your reply is really heart throbbjng. I have worked as a podder (standards inspector) at the n BRITANNIA biscuits co ltd. SEWRI Mumbai. For us it was very facile task since every Machinery was totally automated. I am proud to be called a Podder. Out of 49 Labourers only 7 would be present. Thanks for this wonderful channel the lyrics and the Channel
Adle poder originality and traditional cannot compare with present poder, old poder who prepared bread so tasty.I salute the composer of the song with sang with melodious voice.
Let us all, as goans, far and near work hard to keep our identity and culture alive. Kudos to you folks; great video bringing back nostalgic memories of the poder.
Dearest nymphal,, What an idiom, not just Goans but the whole of the Concannim speaking community should rise from their deep slumber. The needy:The rich Bhattcars who are super rich and are in possession of Portuguese houses as massive as a Palacios and have children who are brilliant And school toppers should run extra curricular activities for children from surrounding /neighbouring schools who in turn can coach those from the ghettos And live in PENURY. These children in turn shall be a blessing in Disguise. They in tum shall be grateful and Safeguard the authority of these Palacios .This will also assist the nomadic tribes from Invading. These children of the poor in turn Shall be become honest citizens and on one fine day become a Sunak Rishi . Invading : sorry for this statement. Many of these houses have their hinds open, The back doors are broken open a D thes
I really intrested to know, what kind of festival is this. If someone can explain, that would be great, Other than this, I liked the song. Liked the Goa when I visited quite a long time ago.
It's called the Goans Bakers feast .. It falls on the 11th October.. This year 2022 - 11 October was on Tuesday.. Tuesday is also St Anthony of Padau day ..like the Hindus celebrate Every Tuesday as Ganpati Bappa day ..Christian worships St Anthony day every Tuesday..I read ur comment on the box...so that's one reason I wrote ..maybe other Christians may give another answer to your Question..
Such a fest is significant coz baking was a major livelihood of people. Goans were the 1st to introduce bread to the subcontinent, as before that, people only ate flat dough /rotis.
@@alani3992 The actual facts is the Goan Pohyo ( Round bread made of wheat husk was introduced by the Portuguese citizens who ruled the Goa State along with Daman & Diu..) People who were employed by the Portuguese bakers learned how to prepare the dough..what ingredients goes in ..this concept continue till the Portuguese were ousted by India in 1961..thou the Portuguese left the country the workers who we're local continue to bake these breads ..even breads sticks which are mostly used as a dip along with Tomatoes Soup / Lentil soup were also baked ..in fact if you visit the local Market @ Mapusa - Goa one will find different shapes of Bread which are sold in the Market ..Coconut Cake. Coconut sweets etc.
Good nice 1, a real goan Punn goen chorun vorot ravtam, save goa, save goa, otherwise goa will be in dance only, but live goa life like olden days as 25 years back
Lord Jesus Christ, give us every day, the bread of wisdom and Knowledge and understanding to understand the times, where the evil one has blinded our hearts and minds and wills from meditating on your precious WORD, which is able to set us free , from obsession, oppression, hatred and sexual violence in your holy land.❤❤❤. Amen.
